I love it when we go to the horse racing, we stay South side and the locals all pull up in their trucks and we eat drink, dance and bet badly. Looking forward to our trip in December when we will catch the races again, Go Savannah!

Great tips. Just to add that my nephew and i went to a local shop on route to the beach. He was wearing shorts and no top and they would not allow him to enter. He had to wait outside for me. He made sure to wear tops when going out thereafter!!!

I enjoyed the food as well at Follow The Smoke food truck located by the Hilton on the beach chef’s kiss. I definitely loved the food outside of the Hotel.

Will definitely be checking out Duchess when I come back her food looks Devine. Although Barbados has some fantastic restaurants surrounded by some amazing ocean views I personally love eating from the food trucks. Authentic bajan cooking simply the best. These are 2 of my personal favourites. Sandra’s food truck near to Sandy Lane Hotel West Coast. Leroy’s down Island truck on South Coast. There’s also the vendors/trucks who sell on/near the beach. The famous “Cuz” (fish cutters) South Coast near Hilton hotel. I’m biased but any type of fish dish in Barbados is an absolute must for me. Informative video as always. Fingers crossed the 1,000 subscriber number is not too far away.

For me the best time to visit the island is from December through to end of May…, weather wise … there is also lots on the calendar depending on your interest. If you want to experience cropover then that would be in August in the hotter weather. But to be honest there is always something happening on the island generally. 🏝️☀️
