Hi, Will. Will you ever write the third music theory book that you said your would, and if so, when? I find your videos to be painfully slow and verbose. For those with less experience, they can always slow down your videos. I want your previously mentioned third theory book mentioned in your second theory book and hope that you haven't abandoned the writing of it. If you don't intend to write that book, and want to try to make more money using YT, please let those of us who think as I do whether you will continue to attempt making money on YT, or if you really intend to write that third theory book. Thanks.

There are so many people selling so many music courses that it’s easy to be cynical. After a lot of hand wringing, I enrolled in Guillaume’s academy and it’s beyond great. Less than a month in and I feel like I got a year of music school. The main thing is that he teaches you how to practice all those things that you “pretty much” know but somehow they never translate into playing with confidence and freedom. Will is a world class teacher and one of the most generous people you’ll ever know.

This is by far the best lesson on the CAGED system!!! Unlike other lessons that only discuss the CAGED shapes , This lesson starts with the foundation. It covers how the guitar is tuned and how chords are created, how the Major & minor 3rd work, how the B string impact chord/scale shapes. The part about the sister/symmetrical shapes is an eye opener and makes complete sense as to finding the roots on the E, A & D string. You don’t need any other CAGED lesson after watching this. Just a brilliant way of teaching and making sense of everything. Guillaume, vous êtes un trésor!

Alter the CAGED system in these ways. 1) Even though CAGED forms an easy-to-remember word, the guitar’s lowest note is E so it’s also EDCAG; 2) add in the b7 so it’s not just a triad of 1-3-5 but 4-note Dominant 7 chord that completes the harmony available within the octave (1-3-5-b7). Play over a one-chord Blues vamp of just E7. - Now here’s 5 shapes that start on just the DGBE STRINGS: 2130, 2434, 6757, 9797, 999-10, and finally 14-13-15-12 (where that pattern starts to repeat). - Now play those shapes again but this time with the low-E string droning under all of those shapes on the DGBE. - Do you hear how that is all E7 but used for playing all over the neck? That is how those shapes, and also the scales contained within those shapes, are connected together as a sort of pathway from the open position to the 12th fret. Try it and you’ll understand this explanation!

WoW, I really enjoyed the entire lesson and didn't even look at the downloads yet. Having a Solid practice plan for me was missing. I found myself wanting to connect my chords to the Minor and Major Pentatonic scale so my mind could navigate the Fret Board. Then I wanted to practice this foot print and saw your lesson. Thanks a lot. I am not a CAGED system player. I find the difficulty of learning all of the nuances of creating a chord is rather frustrating. I am using triads along the entire fret board on the last 4 strings only within 1 fret for each to cover all major/minor/ 6 positions for all chord progressions. Anyway, it's way more simple for a beginner such as myself with the circle of fourths and fifths.. It was a reverse engineer approach of music theory. My question is what should be a reasonable goal for rythm. I think I heard 80 beats per second ? That sounds really awkward but it may be what it is....?? Thanks for any feedback Davis M.S.M.E.
