Hello, Welcome to my channel. My name is Jenilee. I am a wife, a homeschooling mom of 4 and a passionate homemaker. I am inspired by the skills of the past. And driven by our dream to make this a family farm, and a self sufficient home. Join me as I restore all the good, old, simple, and wholesome ways of homemaking. Growing our own food, sourcing whole foods from the farm, cooking from scratch, and all the simple but lovely skills (sewing, preserving, decorating) it takes to run a country home. My purpose is always to bring the focus back to the home and honor the people within the walls of my home. Nothing is more important to me than the work done within the walls of my home and more importantly for the people in it. I'm restoring Home, Family and Spirit.

Pavlova is a regular dessert here in Australia, certainly a favourite at big gatherings or BBQs. New Zealand claims at as their own, but we Aussies like to claim it as our own, it’s been an age long debate 😂 The secret to a god ‘pav’ is to beat the egg whites until stiff, looking at your mix, I would say it could have done with a couple more minutes of beating. And it should be cooked in a very slow oven, after it’s cooked, it’s left in the oven to cool with the oven door left ajar. The perfect pav has a crisp outer shell and a soft sweet middle. Yours looked amazing. Well done for your first try. Yum, it’s my favourite dessert. 😊
That lasagne looked so delicious and so did the gallette.

I agree my wonderful husband is is a wonderful wood worker and has made almost all of our furniture our bedroom set our kitchen counters and our island and table and China cabinet out of of walnut we have been married for 31 years it takes time for good quality things 😀

Give yourself some grace! Sarah, at Our Tribe of Many gives her kids laundry duty as they hit a certain age. They can learn how to wash and put their clothes away. Lisa at Farmhouse on Boone has baskets for the smaller kids. Then you don't need to put everything away. Ahe also keeps the baskets in the laundry room so there is no taking clothes far away from where they are being cleaned. You're doing great! You have a lot of goals. Maybe you need to number them all in order of critical importance. I hope you put laundry, fun, bread, and crafts high up!
Beautiful Friend, these past couple of weeks I have went on a journey. I was chatting, Father, if a “weed” is Native to my Neck of The woods, I wonder if it’s edible? Well, so far I have found 10 edibles in my yard and ohhhh Yummers the salad it makes!

What a beautiful, young mom you are. Your gentle and kind spirit is noticeable and yes, you are right to rest. We need to be more intentional to rest when we can be so busy with demands and the cares of the day . So take time here and there to enjoy some quiet space. I do understand you are a Christian : so the verse that has been so important and needed for me is this one: Come to Me all you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Learn from Me for I am meek take your yoke upon you snd learn from Me for I am meek and humble in heart. Yes, rest for our souls. His Spirit invites us to come and not delay. Taking just minutes of respite helps. God is our Helper and He is such a good Teacher to give us advice to know how to rest and put it into practice. God delights in you Jenilee! He is caring for you as you rest your weary soul.
Element has natural flavorings, a highly processed chemical. I wish people that promotes this product and has access to talking with the product manager would request they take out that 1 harmful ingredient.

Pianos should not be by windows. Looks great there, but it is bad for the instrument.
Something has gone wrong somewhere ,I really hope it's not shingles again. I've suffered from them and if you have you will know what I'm talking about. Their absolutely awful and you just can't seem to get rid of them I feel so sorry for anyone having to suffer with them..

Everything looks great. But if I may play devil’s advocate…. A piano should never be placed on an outside wall let alone in front of a window. They need constant steady temperatures/humidity. If you get very cold winters or extreme temp changes, and if your windows are older and not the best for keeping the cold out, that could expose the fragile sound board to the possibility of cracking. That soundboard wood has to maintain a very steady temp if possible. 🫣
I was going to mention this. I moved from Missouri to South Carolina in 1996 - going from one hot, humid place to another.

I’ve always heard you shouldn’t put a piano against an outside wall at all. Plus I don’t think the sun would be good for the key pads, etc.
