I love canning, tomatoes, jellies, veggies, catsup, soups, so many things. The feeling you get from growing the food , canning it and putting it on your table is such a wonderful feeling. I love it

Happy holidays!

Next year my tree and all decorations throughout my home will be all nature and homemade. . It’s been a long time since I had done it this way. . I’m so excited

I also decorated my tree with dehydrated citrus fruit slices; oranges, grapefruit, limes into a garland with cinnamon sticks and bay leaves. I also dehydrated whole limes and tangerines with slits around the sides and added to the garland I hung around the kitchen nook. I baked streusel bars and pecan brownies 2 days ago and it is already gone. My brother and family had come on short notice, stayed 4 days so was glad I had something made. My usual tradition for the last 15 years has been making cranberry bliss bars. It’s requested every Thanksgiving and Christmas. I don’t buy box mixes as it doesn’t take much time to whip up yourself. I love the jam and bread! They're both beautiful and look delicious. And your tree is STUNNING! I decorated mine wth bows and ribbons this year. I have a pice of burlap and a red checkered scarf for the tree skirt. The bows and ribbon match. I also have an angel and holly leaf gold metal garland on it that's over 25 years old. My tree is quite purty if I do say so myself. Snow?!? I'm jealous! Lol just kidding. It certainly puts a person in the Christmas spirit. I try to make candy and cookies every year for friends and family. I've done this for 35 years and it's what I look forward to most. I have been toying with the idea of making the Christmas jam. Lovely and peaceful home! Great idea about baking mini sourdough loaves! I created my first starter last January and bake at least one loaf a week. Those loaves are adorable 🤩 and the jam sounds delicious!! I’m going to have to try both these recipes. I’ve made sooo much apple and pear butter and sauce that I’m ready for a change from fall flavors to winter 😃 Where-ish in Missouri are you guys again, I’m surprised to see so much snow! I work in the food industry and that is unsanitary because you are baking for other people. So your telling your views that it is okay to pick your nose while mixing something and then put your fingers into whatever you cook.
