Such a lovely and relaxing video, as usual 😊 I love baking with sourdough, been at it for over a decade and I love trying new recipes. I follow a method where you don’t actually have to discard, just continue to feed and use. I accumulate lots of starter this way which is great for sourdough discard pancakes, waffles , crackers and cast iron pan pizzas. Lisa over at Farmhouse on Boone is a sourdough recipe master, I get most of my sourdough recipes from there (she’s in Missouri too). Also, you probably know this, but just in case you’re looking for a very quick way to put back/preserve tomatoes, you can either dice them up and freeze on trays then put into bags, or you can just freeze them whole. Then pull out for sauce through the winter. Enjoy that sweet pink bundle of sunshine! 🤩

Hey, thanks for the great info on sourdough and tomatoes. I admit you have been doing sourdough longer than me. I have seen Lisa make the cast iron pan pizza. Do they turn out good? I need to try that. Lisa is a master at sourdough. I love the tomato preserving idea! sounds so easy. Thank you!!

The sourdough pan pizzas are delicious! They make a great lunch and of course you can put anything and everything on them 😊 The freezer-preserving method for tomatoes I found out last year when I had a baby at the end of June and I was desperate for shortcuts on preserving garden harvest 😂 Also, I *love* how you said to pick a sourdough recipe(s) that work for one’s family and kitchen. Such a good reminder 💗 Keep doing what you’re doing, you are such a gem, Jenilee! As are your videos 💓

And, thanks for the excellent instruction -- SHOWING and explaining the step-by-step sourdough feed process -- the BEST I've seen.

Luv to quilt I really like baking too haven’t tried sourdough but warm bread and jam is a favorite have also been making copycat crumbl cookies they are great prob not healthy though

Your baby is so beautiful! It’s funny, I just had a baby 5 months ago and the first thing I wanted to do once the initial two week healing period was, was get right back into my sourdough recipes lol. Fantastic video Jenilee!

I add one teaspoon of gluten to every cup of flour and that has made a world of difference and make sure you cut the dough before putting it in the oven to allow the dough have room to expand.
