To everyone concerned with my makeup. I have never claimed to not struggle with this world and being of the world. My prayer is that you focus on Scripture I share than what I am doing, than my home, and my life. As I AM NOT THE PERFECT EXAMPLE FOR YOU. Let me repeat, you should NOT be looking at me, but JESUS CHRIST as your example. He is perfect, I am not. ❤ May God bless you all. 🙏

Well said- I’m one of seven children of a godly homemaker and she was awesome in every way.she always took care of her appearance every day- wore dresses every day( even mowed the grass in a dress😀) she and my father were the perfect couple - so respectful of each other. The time was the 40’s and the 50’s - the most wonderful time in our American history.

You're beautiful. I feel better with makeup on too. Others need not judge . I'm thinking of the Bible verse 1Samuel 16:7, that says," Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart ". ❤️ God bless you. I was a full time homemaker in the 80's and 90's. My husband was able to provide a very comfortable living for us by the grace of God. I would never trade in those years with my 3 children as we looked forward to dad coming home from work. I call those years my golden years.

I recently came across your channel. I was a nurse for 7 years until a car accident injured me and now I’m home with the kids. I see God’s hand in the situation but I am struggling. Struggling trusting God to provide financially, struggling submitting to my husband, and struggling with a changing lifestyle. I’m homeschooling as well. Thank you for your videos. They truly encourage me and remind me that God is all I need. This isn’t a season of life I ever saw myself in but while I’m here and waiting on direction I feel as though I’m where I’m supposed to be and your videos remind me of that.

❤️ You have a beautiful testimony. It is definitely hard to surrender yourself to Him and His plan for you. I still struggle with this all the time. What a blessing you are to your family. I know you are taking all of the wonderful skills from nursing and applying it to your teaching and care for your family. You may not know it, but your story may impact more people than you know and may bring them to a stronger faith.❤️ Surrender yourself to Him everyday, that's all we can do. God bless you and your beautiful family. Thank you for commenting, and allowing yourself to be vulnerable.❤️

I wanted to pass on what I heard a pastor speak on--some years ago. He was saying how men have been forever "beating women over the head" with the "submitting to your husband' scripture. He was teaching about how in the original language--the word used actually means "cling to". Not submit, as the English translation says! Scripture (English translation) also says to husbands and wives--"submit to ONE ANOTHER". CLING TO--one another. Interesting how knowing the original wording/language can completely change the meaning from what we've been told. This is why I believe marriages are a partnership, both people working in harmony. Not one being above--with the other below in a subservient position. Translations certainly weren't perfectly done... and in some cases errors such as this can produce problems. Because of what I've learned from that brave pastor--if I have a question about a scripture word, I don't hesitate to check the original Hebrew or Greek. I want to know what was ACTUALLY said in the original context.

I wanted to be a stay at home mom, but my husband became very abusive and so I had to divorce him and raise our sons myself. I had to be the mom and the dad, the home maker and the bread winner. They are grown now, but two (twins) are still at home and working towards making their own lives. I’m extremely exhausted and tired and sick of working. I’m a night shift nurse and I’ve been having to work full time for 36 years. If you get to be a home maker and not have to work outside of the home but get to focus on your family as a woman should be able to do you are VERY VERY blessed.

We should never expect ourselves to be as we were before having kids or when we were 20 years younger or even 10 but we should expect ourselves to be the best version of our current selves we can be. That means caring for your body and feeding it correctly and making time to move it and other stuff. Age and children should never be an excuse to put our bodies in a bad state.

I know the Lord allowed me to come across this video and the comments as well. Because I've been a nurse for 25 years, and in 2018 I had to leave nursing due to an autoimmune issue which has been such a challenge to my physical health. Our children are grown and have their own homes and families so I had such a difficult time transitioning to being at home and not being able to help others through nursing as I once could. I found myself having more time to seek the Lord and pray for others which gave me a renewed sense of purpose in this season of my life. I did teach myself to knit and crochet to make blankets and scarfs for the homeless and for newborns. I hope to be able to return to nursing one day if that's the Lord's plan. Yet I've learned to be content in all circumstances and situations just like Paul teaches us in God's Word. Thank you for this channel and for those other nurses who shared a comment. This nurse was blessed to know that I'm not alone, and that God has me and (us) right where we're supposed to be❤

@@MissionsRN thank you so much for taking the time to share your story. It means a lot to me to hear from others and how you’re getting along. I struggle with not being able to care for others as well because that is the reason I became a nurse! I had to leave bedside nursing due to severe panic attacks. I often miss it and want to return but know I simply cannot do it. That is upsetting to me. I have two teenagers but they honestly don’t require much care. I love that you found a hobby you can enjoy! Hang in there and God bless you 💓

I'm with you - it would be different if we left nursing and had a family to love and be loved by. Many say they "get it" but they don't....a lot harder. I was a nurse for 25 years, then was left for dead when I fell very ill in 2020 with no medical help which was traumatizing. Lost a lot of"friends' but don't take it personally....every one is addicted to their screens and selves. It's travesty. From one nurse to another, I really get it. I was in it when it was good, before Obamacare and then up to 2020....suffocating valleys.

We had to gut the place and it still isn't put back together and I really struggle with that because it's the kitchen that is so ugly and just a mess. It's difficult to cook and it's my daily workshop. Please pray that my husband will see the need and take action. I've had the patience of JOB these past twenty years.

I like A.w. Pinks reading of Poor in Spirit, " It is the realization of my utter worthlessness which precedes the laying hold of Christ... It is the Spirit emptying the heart of self that Christ may fill it, it is a sense of need and destitution" " The one who is poor in spirit is nothing in his own eyes.." I recently came across your channel and it has been a blessing. I had to pause this at around 16:45 because you were really speaking to my heart. My parents were, and still are if allowed, very mentally and emotionally abusive to my brother and myself. For this reason, I gravitated more toward my paternal grandmother. She was everything I wanted to be when I grew up. She is my biggest influence in all that I do. She passed away 3 years ago, and I realized in her death I had made her an idol. She was my Jesus even though she was always pointing me toward the real Jesus all the time. I have grown so much in my faith and my relationship with the real Jesus that I realized how much of Him I was missing and needed so desperately! I miss my Mema so deeply that I greive and my chest becomes tight just mentioning her name but I needed her death to push me towards Jesus and fully leaning on Him. Please keep sharing what God is putting on your heart! You are furthering His Kingdom with your videos and sharing God through your ministry! Thank you for following where the Lord leads you that we all may be blessed by Him through you! ❤

Thank you so much for opening up. I'm so sorry your family had / still has to deal with that. I love that you were close to your grandma and looked up to her. What a powerful realization you had about idolizing her and not Jesus. That is something we can all so easily do (I have done it lots!) The fact you came to that conclusion is huge, many people know still idolize others over Jesus. This is such a beautiful testimony which pointed you to Jesus. ❤️ This is very inspiring, and I pray others will use their pain and grieving to find Him as well. I'm so glad you shared.

Thank you:) Just found your channel today. Retired a year and half ago from 31 year career of teaching due to health issues. I work part time in a ministry now. I worked through my children's growing years and regret it. I am hoping to show that to my daughter when she is ready to have children. I also want to be there to help with my grandchildren. In the last two years God has pulled me away from the World to work on my family life and the ministry I am in. I spend time daily thanking God for what I have, and to not covet material items.

The amount of children and lives you have helped shape and care for cannot be counted. I think it's so beautiful and powerful that you want to speak to your children and encourage them to be home with their kids. 🥰 You being there for your grandchildren, too, will be such a blessing for both your children and grandchildren. So very glad I found you. When I was a little girl I asked my grandmother why she never went to the movies and she told me because it was a worldly thing and that we were not supposed to partake of worldly things. And I have never forgoten that. But as you say, it is very very difficult for us to live up to that. But we must always try and pray to do it better. So my prayers are with you, myself and others who are trying to separate ourselves from worldly things. And thank you so much for all of your words and for this video.

This was absolutely beautiful. My family and I are in a transitional period, waiting on the Lord for a home, a business, and everything we didn't give away or sell is in storage. The Lord is doing such a work to strip away all the attachments and identity I placed even in good things, like homemaking and motherhood. If all I have is my Bible and my family, will I be okay? Absolutely. Has it been difficult to learn that? Incredibly. But I know it will all be worthwhile to walk more closely with the Lord.
