Hi, Thanks for sharing the dangers and solutions concerning visceral fat! Can you make a video specifically directed toward 80 years of age and above?

I see many large potbellied men, who, when they have lost weight, hardly exhibit any love handles; yet, I’ve lost a good bit of weight, but my love handles continue to stick around. I never had a large potbelly, however. I believe though that my love handles definitely got smaller, but dang, they’re so tough to eliminate.

I love your content, Dr Sean! I recently implemented sprinting and oh my, it is such fun! Please continue sharing as we need to reach people outside the USA too. And of course you have to sell. Your expertise has to be paid for. I recently purchased your ebook "Growing Better Not Older" and I am very inspired after reading it.

In 2015, my psychiatrist took me off Depakote COLD TURKEY. He grimaced & said "you might lose weight." I said "No i wont. You know I've been trying to lose 10 lbs for the 8 years I've been taking this." One month later i had lost 37 lbs & looked emaciated. Female, then age 57, 5'4",103 lbs after the weight loss. I could NOT gain weight to save my life. My diet for 30 years was organic vegetables & fruit & chicken. Once a week beef & salmon. I stopped eating sugar, candy, cake, pies etc 30 years ago. I tried for 6 months to gain some fat to no avail. Finally gave away my size 8 clothes, bought all new size zero. After 4 years started becoming metabolically ill, extreme fatigue, depressed, felt like i was starving in spite of eating a LOT of what i thought was healthy. April 2023 joined Dr Ken Berry 's group after finding him accidentally. I gained 24 lbs of fat in 2 months by eating beef, butter, bacon, & eggs. This WOE probably saved my life. The subcutaneous fat i gained is not pretty. I have a big abdomen whereas, I had a flat stomach for 9 years. Ive given up trying to get rid of lumpy inappropriately sized fat deposits. Im exhausted. I started the Lion Diet a year ago. Dr Sean you never said anything that offended me, causing not to want to work with you on my health. Im afraid i am too weak to sprint. So i wouldn't be a candidate for your program

I got one called 'ya farkin wombat' on Cairns Lobster but most I miss. Its deadly serious is Dr Seans message but the whole thing of stronger urine streams and green urine and visible pulses and all that blows peoples minds haha. Andre

I support sprinting. But few points he made are simply absurd: 1. Long distance running leads to sarcopenia, what! BS! If you're lean and strong, this has nothing to do with sarcopenia. 2. Running up the stairs is unnatural. Patetly absurd, for millions of years we were climbing mountains and hills.

God. I wish I could sleep. Did 18000 steps yesterday plus several swimming lengths . Now it's 7am and I haven't slept for a single second all night. On top which I'm on holiday in Thailand , right by the sea. So fed up with this insomnia. Had it for at least 25 year. Even took two sleeping pills on the flight...got about an hours sleep.

  • @wealthelife

Good tip about tracking visceral fat by measuring belly height while lying down. Getting it checked via DEXA scan is a bit too expensive to do regularly. Not sure that simply cutting out processed carbs by itself was the key metric in that example of improved visceral fat -- unless you increased fat and protein intake while cutting the carbs so that the total caloric intake remained unchanged, just cutting out carbs will *usually* mean you've moved from a caloric surplus to a caloric deficit by 'cutting out carbs', so will start to lose weight -- and visceral fat apparently reduces quite rapidly during weight loss. Switching part of your overall caloric intake from carbs to protein will also help avoid sarcopenia, as you need enough protein combined with resistance training to add some muscle mass. Again, I don't think just changing to a carnivore diet would fix sarcopenia if you didn't also start doing some exercise to build muscle at the same time. Doing the old 'diet and exercise' regime this year to loose my excess weight I basically had to cut down massively on the carbs simply to be able to achieve a caloric deficit and still get sufficient protein to avoid muscle loss.

Dr. Sean I'd love to know what your macros are - I know you break your fasts with a lot of meat and ferments, but how much fat are you eating? I see some saying excess protein with inadequate fat can have negative effects like causing you not to be in ketosis and even raising blood sugar. High fat, moderate protein seems to be the goal so just wondering if that's what you do?
