Hey, thanks for visiting my channel. It’s mostly dedicated to videos of garden tractors, but I sprinkle a few other bits and pieces in here and there.

I would never go a two-way blade. I would only use four-way blade. I’ve been using a four-way blade for 37 years with no trouble not one and I have been through some of the biggest winters in northern Wisconsin I’ve ever seen and the tractor. I have just right through it. The angle never changes, you just had a bad deal when you bought yours

when its that cold the mixture is going to be lean. colder more dense oxygen rich air even a brand new properly adjusted carb is going to have trouble at -15c(5f) especially on todays blended fuel

Unfortunately although these old deeres are great tractors the mowing quality is not the best an old allis chalmers or simplicity cannot be beat for mowing quality

Great Video. It is not always the belts fault. When a pulley wears out it gets super slick and the belt will ride the middle which keeps the belt from grabbing the V portion. Outside of the belt should be nearly flush with the edge of the pulley.

You might see if they make a tri rib front tire that would fit. If they do, fill them with fluid. We used them on our farm tractors and they take a more aggressive bite when turning on slippery surfaces. Also, they don't fill up with snow.

I fabbed a manual-angle from seat for my bolens snowplow that I adapted to my Simplicity, definitely nice for the smaller driveways.

Your carburetor is adjusted wrong or you didn't let it warm up all the way quit making excuses

lol, I love the condescension. There are no adjustments on the carburetor aside from the idle jet, and I do mention in the video that, once the engine is fully warmed up, the throttle response is better.

I know that this is a pretty old post but I will try . I have a 322 that I drove from Ontario to Pensylvania to get about 15 years ago. It has served me faithfully mowing about 6 acres of grass and lots of snow as well, as I live in a snow belt. I have done a similar mod wlth 26/12/12 AGG tires and chains on the rear and 20" turf tires on the front. I found some very odd low profile X pattern chains that I modified to fit the front. I have a 3 point hitch that I built a steel dumping box for. I load the box with about 250 pounds of sand salt mix to spread on my drive and private road that is about 500 meters long. I have 3 blowers, 2 are model 49 single stage, one in working order and one for parts. I also have a 2 stage blower, can't remember the model. Its a shaft drive for a bigger JD tractor. It had all of the mounting brackets cut off before I got it, I think that the guy was going to build a self powered unit for an ATV? My plan is to use the mounts ftom the spare model 49 and build my own drive set up for the PTO. Anyway, nuff said about that, what I am really interested in is the "carb trick" that you mentioned? As with all 322's, my carb is the weak link, and any help would be appreciated. Regards

I watched this video a bunch of times. Got the same back tires. Just so happen to come across a used pair. Then today the same snowblower popped up and I scooped it. Got chains on the way. My niebour gave me a bunch of wheel weights 😅

Nice tractor. New guy here to this channel. The old tractors last and last. Now a days I've seen people not as happy with john deere but I truly believe it's because they are not thinking ok what am I truly gonna use this tractor for. When they go and buy one they spend the least amount and realize I need more tractor.

Nice video. I have owned a 322 for 20+ years - great tractor. I have wanted to get 47 for mine but have a steep driveway - does your climb up steeper pitches with the blower?

So we just got one of these. 38 in deck. Everythung is identical except the engine itself. Ours has carb on right side with an airbox that lays over the top of the engine. Plugs on the left side. It sat for at least 10 years maybe 15. I put new plugs in it, draine the deck varnish out of the tank and replaced it with fresh gas. Ive got it to finally fire and run. But it will only run with the choke on and it feels like the engine is onky running on one cylinder and its barely running on that. Its not running enough to engage the PTO. It just falls on its face and dies. Curious if my issues sound familiar? 😂 i need this thing to cut grass asap. 😂😂

Completely rebuild the carburetor and replace the spark plugs. That should get you on your feet. Yours is a 4514, with the smaller GX360K1 engine.

Did you by chance have a lockout valve on the rear lift cylinder when you ran the power angle cylinder? The 300 series have a known "issue" where the angle is affected and slow due to the hydraulic flow being shared between the rear cylinder and the front remotes for angling. I have a 4 way on my 318 and have never had an issue pushing very heavy snow without losing angle settings
