Michel Janse

Michel Janse

I am so thankful to have you join this big online friend group + give you a peek into my life.

A bit about me - I am a mid-20's gal who recently moved back home to TX after a divorce. I spent the last 6 years in Los Angeles pursuing acting, but I am thankful to be close to family again as I navigate the world as a newly-single, divorced, Christian gal (and all the challenges that come with such a big life shift!) I have enjoyed slowing down, pushing my comfort zone, and discovering who I am and who I want to become.

OKAY FUN THINGS - I like to thrift (cue my series, Sip + Thrift), tap dance, open unboxings, cook gluten-free (oh, I am also Celiac!) give my thoughts via reviews, do the occasional clothing haul, dabble in interior design, talk about my thoughts on Christianity, taste coffee/matcha, play board games with my family + take nature walks with my rescue pup. We do a lot over here. :-)

I have to admit, initially this new series was not my favourite. But I truly enjoyed this video. I like that you taste and discuss after each course. Your lemon tree is amazing and I thought it was pretty cool you showing how you are incorporating items from your garden

Michelin doesn’t necessarily equal fancy. Food trucks and BBQ joints get Michelin stars so it’s not always so “elevated.” The focus is on the quality.

I think this was a major success! Imo flavor is the most important part, the rest that you downplayed (a la being enneagram 3 lol) will develop into your own style with time. So much fun watching these!! ❤❤❤

I’ve never prepared polenta. Was the polenta toss for fun or is there culinary value to doing that before cooking? Everything looked and sounded yum! Jordy is so gracious and kind 💙

This was my favorite episode of the series so far. I got excited to watch when I saw this was a budget friendly episode, loved that you shopped at Trader Joe’s and bought basic ingredients but though about how to elevate them, and found the episode really engaging. Plus, incorporating Jordy’s constructive feedback was fun.

Looked great to me ☺️Also I really love Jordy’s input as well as your receptiveness (is that even a word?) to it! The way you two are always so respectful of one another and genuinely interested in the other’s opinion, what a team!
