Honestly the best thing to do with your nails is to just leave them be. Removing nail polish daily won’t help. Press ons won’t help. It’ll feel better in the moment but you have got to let your nails breathe and heal and grow out. Think of it as growing pains

Here is a thought for wall art- If I remember correctly, Jordy wrote a lot of songs about you. 1- Jordy is a musician 2- they are about you so perfect for your bedroom 3- you can type them creatively or do cool calligraphy. And frame it in the bedroom! Just a thought 😊

Here is an idea for your bathroom door: Instead of looking for a door that has those specific unusual dimensins and therefor is quite expensive you could extend the wall so that a normal door would fit in. That should be cheaper and the door would really close for more privacy.

I would use the peel off wallpaper on the glass on the bathroom door. Get a fun print. You would have to put it on the glass on the poop bathroom side too or you’ll just have like the backside of wallpaper showing in that side. Possibly try moving your bed to another wall in the room. It might open it up more. You could use chalk paint in the dresser to give it a vintage aged look. I would maybe put a chair in the corner where the dead plant is lol. And possibly get a hanging plant. Just ideas girl ❤️❤️❤️

So I am in the UK but my nails got absolutely destroyed by a long period of hard gel and in the end they were just tearing, they were so thin. I used OPI Repair Mode (it’s in a green and black bottle), I think you use it daily for a week and then once a week maybe and it honestly saved them in half the time it normally takes! I also use it ahead of getting my nails done (only for special occasions now) to strengthen them! I’m sure you’ll be able to get in the US as well! Hope orientation goes well for you and can’t wait to see the bedroom vision come to life! 🧡

How about a kite or multiple kites to hang as art in the bedroom? They come in a lot of various sizes, colors, and designs. It would keep the fun, outdoor vibe of the rest of the house without being yet another sailboat.

A fun wallpaper - wood grain, flora, fauna or retro beach print - in the glass areas of your sliding door, would be a quick, easy, inexpensive privacy what fix. If you love what you pick you could also use add to one or all of the bathroom walls, too!

Dark and moody and cozy in the bedroom, your whole house is so bright, look up dark and moody bedrooms, dark green deep deep blue dark drown, best would be the deepest green walls with adding molding patterns on the walls like squares then paint with crown molding on the ceiling, but a full painted with ceiling deep green, or the half panels wall with a dark wood on the bottom, and dark green bedding with just some beige or browns or something like that, lots of soft pillows and the fluffiest bedspread, with warm lighting,,,... Ugh, perfect for sleeping.. especially being in such a bright city and weather and everything else in the house is super bright, this would be your snuggle cove!!!❤❤❤

We have a cockapoo and he loves carrots, cucumber, blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, banana, bell peppers, watermelon and kiwi! So many- even cooked sweet potato, cauliflower, broccoli and green beans! We tried one at a time of course, but he will eat any combo of the above as a food topper or a treat and he loves all of them! ❤ love that you are trying that with Max too - so good for their long term health and digestion!

Bedroom thoughts! I think I drift wood above the bed would look cool and also maybe bring in some of that sculptural look that you love in lieu of the architectural elements that you can’t really control. I agree with Jordy that a tall furniture piece leaning vintage would look really good there and then maybe you could add a funky fabric to the bed (like a quilt or throw at the end) to add in some of Jordy’s style. While I think bench seating is a cool idea I feel like you should focus on the rest of what makes a bedroom a bedroom first so you can really nail that down and not have it feel like you’re doing too much at once cause bench seating sounds like a clutter collector to me.

Definitely colour for the bedroom! Fun bedding, I like floral duvets, bright lamps, plush rugs, and statement art. Everyone is doing beige and white, and while I love the classic style, classic can also mean dramatic navy walls, lush green coloured bookshelves, and stunning gold accents.

I think you are doing too many themes to all the rooms in your house maybe don’t think of a theme and just make it classic if you do too much of a theme it’s not going to look as timeless in the years to come. You don’t have to do a major makeover to every room of your house.

As an Interior Designer, I very much disagree with this. I don’t think she’s trying to theme, she wants the house to be their home and have personality. Making design reflective of those that live in it is the best way to have a timeless home.

A tip for bedroom styling - we also have taller ceilings in some rooms of our house. A piece of style advice I was given that helped me was to be sure not to hang things as if I had regular height ceilings. Sometimes by doing that we create the impression of lower ceilings but if we hang things higher and intentionally bring the eye up the wall with art or whatever you please it allows the tall ceilings to have a big impact (and it allows that architectural feature your room already has to shine). I love the idea of a sail hung kind of wrinkled/draped behind the bed rather than flat on the wall, or a driftwood feature wall with several pieces of driftwood going up as both would add texture and draw the eye up. Also love the armoire idea! I see a lot of people suggesting wallpaper - I'd be worried about anything with a small print on such a big wall just being overwhelming but maybe something with a bigger print or a mural style wallpaper. Of course it's your house and far and away the most important thing is that it works for you. :)

I actually think your bedroom looks very calm and simple, so I appreciate that - however, I also liked the view of the dresser, with the artwork and knock knacks. Maybe just add more lamps/scones to the bedroom to add warmth and cozy vibes, for over the bed you could try hanging floor to ceiling curtains? As far as the bathroom door goes, thoughts on painting it and then adding privacy screens to the windows? They make these in all sorts of styles and designs these days, even stained glass. That could be really cool 😊 PS: I would probably also add a piece of trim to help fill the gap when the door is closed... That may help with a little more visual/auditory privacy.

For the Max thing! I would recommend introducing one type of food at a time, a wait a few weeks to see how he's reacting. If he develops allergies or intolerences to it, you'll know exactly what it's from. My dog has a lot of intolerence and had to do the opposite, which was a very long process!

My parents give their dogs organic frozen green beans. They just get a huge bag at Costco. They toss them to him to play catch. They also do carrots or carrot skin shavings if they’re cooking with carrots

I agree with Jordy that you need a tall chest of drawers instead of a dresser. I love the door you found on Market Place - hope it fits.

For repairing your nails,i had to do the same for clinicals in hospitals. A ‘fill-in’ polish is made by sally hansen and OPI that helps smooth out the damaged and thin nail bed & makes any polish you put over it smooth and a nice buffer layer. The quickest thing I took to help grow out the damaged portion was a prenatal vitamin- they can also be labeled hair, skin, & nails’ vitamin (they usually bump the price up some when labeled the latter). The folic acid is the main ingredient you are going to want; but with vitamin D, calcium & biotin. Buying them individually can get. Pricey quickly so prenatals go ahead and have it all in 1. I hate the feeling after having artificial nails for extended periods of time but I love when I get to get them done😂 hope you have a great week!

Manicurist is a French nail care company that I love. They are a clean company and their strengtheners are great! Get into a daily nail care routine using keratin and cuticle oil. CND has both of those in a brush-on nail pen that I love. Your nails will look and feel stronger in no time!

Hi Michel, I have the same problem with my nails that you do. I tried the acrylics but after having one ripped from the nail bed, I swore off them. I now wear wraps with are 1. far cheaper, 2. not damaging to the nails, and 3. help in protecting my paper like nails. I know it is not an option for you. However, the one thing I did, which was to build my nails and conditions my cuticles, is use a nail builder which is a cream. It is called "Hoofer's Choice". I highly recommend it, and it costs about $5.00 for the jar. You can get it on line, if not locally. The difference in my nails was pretty quick. I did see a good difference within a week or two. Try it, you won't be disappointed that you did.

so relateable with the nails but give it one whole month with no nail polish and they will get stronger! It can be quite sore (sometimes it even makes little blood marks in my nails) because they really do file your nails sooooo thin but just keep going without nail polish and it will get better after 3-4 weeks. Its very important to let your nails breathe, your nails will be thanking you Xx If they are really sore I put a few layers of clear polish on for a couple days to make it stronger and then take it off, then I put whatever oil I have on hand on my nails each night - I usually use tallow on mine. Plus you will get used to your bare nails and won't think about polish (if you give it some time!).

Michel. For your bedroom what about making the back walk behind the bed a collage of a lot of different things that the two of you combined are meaningful and beautiful to each of you. So that it’s a deep and intimate space expressing yourself into one. Like marriage brought the two into one let the wall become a collaborative space where you and Jordy can share your most precious moments and memories together on your own wall. And how much more intimate is that it completes your room. Not your ideas not Jordy’s but both ❤. What about nail wraps. Then eventually stop using them and always use cutile oil all the time. I went through this and used a clear nail polish it took a few months but it worked

Taking off gel nails isn't supposed to hurt if done properly. Your nail tech is supposed to file off just the top layer, and let the rest of the gel soak off. That way, they're not filing down your natural nail.
