Ha! Great point! This is just our entrees! We always have vegetables with our meals but I don't have any cool veggie recipes to share, so I just left that out of the video 😄
I made Mt kids help me clean out vam oit after watching this and they didn't even complain!! I never ask them to help bc I don't want to deal with whining and complaining (they are 6.5 twins and 8) but they worked hard and it looks soooo good now!!
That makes me so happy for you! I honestly wouldn't be able to keep a tidy house without my kids' daily help! I'm so glad they didn't even complain!

@thejohnsoncrew I'm trying to download the chore charts but fir some reason it isn't letting me open the downloads, do you have just pics of them that I could screenshot maybe??
I'm sorry! Most of the files are .pages which is a mac program like Microsoft Word, so if you're on a PC, those won't work. You should be able to download the PDFs though and use them as a template to look at. I hope to make an updated video this year with Google Doc files!

6!! You are super mom already just for that!! 💪👏 The chore chart system has helped our home atmosphere SO MUCH!! I couldn't keep up without my kids help (and my husband)! I think it's so good for our community-feel in our home as well! Do they already have chores?

In the public schools, there’s so little understanding of what children comprehend and too much oversight of their strengths. Their tests are a poor judgment of the students knowledge, yet they’re a crucial tool in funding… so much bureaucracy.

Thank u, my kids seem to lack motivation right now and we’re so close to our last day! Sickness keeps making a circle, so everyone is just drained. I also have 2 special needs kids. One is more challenging for me than the other. I don’t know if I’m doing anything right sometimes.

I understand your excitment. Making a task easier and shorter is amazing. It happened to me with windows cleaning. It took me 2 to 3 hours and I was exausted in the end. Now is 20 minutes for the outside and the same for inside. I sometimes feel like cleaning them just because it is much easier.

I have twins. Can I just pay 1x for the course instead of buy same course twice??
The annual membership is one price for the whole family and then each course is $50/student. This is from their site: "Your membership is a household membership. That means everyone in the household is allowed to use the membership. You will invite each child to set up their own user id and password. We understand that some of you have twins or two or more children working on the same level. Since our courses are purchased on a per student basis, you will need to purchase more than one of the same course so you have enough seats for each child who needs it. You will assign the courses to the appropriate child's account."
This allows each student to have their own login so they can post their own essays to the forums under their own username.

I appreciate your review. My son’s school uses the BJU curriculum so we’re familiar and excited there’s a homeschool curriculum. It is pricey, but agree with you that private school is a lot more expensive. I work from home and have a newborn so will be trying DLO out next school year. I’m hoping I’m doing the right thing by taking him out, but feeling led by God to do so.
That's exciting! I think a curriculum like this is great for your first year especially because it takes all the guess work and planning out of it! As you move into future years of homeschooling, you may find you want to have more freedom to learn things they're interested in and to have your day be less structured, and then this type of curriculum might not be the best fit any longer. Just food for thought! You can always change things up if you think that's best for your kids and for you! I truly hope y'all all benefit from the extra time together with your newborn! 💕

In Georgia and some other states, parents are required to have a high shool diploma or a GED to be able to teach children. But what if the parents themeselves were homeschooled? Is a homeschool diploma enough as proof?

Just started our homeschooling journey this year, I am determined and hopeful that we can do this! Thank you for this review. I think my little would benefit from the manipulatives and from the videos (honestly so would I) but I know she would also like maybe some fun math stuff sprinkled in, but I think I can find a fun worksheet or two to add in after the concepts are understood. :) thank you so much for this breakdown of the curriculum!
