I'll just be putting some levels here for now.

I have other plans for this page, but for now, I'll just put some levels here, I guess.

    Well it's a custom level, so not yet. Wouldn't mind if they stole this idea though. Still 3:4 polyrhythm is a bop. We should all be exposed to it at some point.

    personally i think 5-2n is a perfectly fine night mode to 5-2 both use mechanics that offset a oneshot and both have quintuplet(s)

  • @kingheron109
    @kingheron109Ай бұрын

    I don't see it personally. 5-2 is a slow chill bop about keeping track of a rhythm while 5-2N is a lightning fast techno groove all about keeping pace with the rapid changes in freeze and burnbeat duration, nailing the freeze, burn, pattern, plus tempo shifts, and oodles of visual fuckery. It's just a lot to throw at players on top of a new mechanic, and doesn't feel like an expansion on the level design of 5-2, rather just a different level entirely. And regardless of if you think it fits, I just don't think this is a very good introduction to burnbeats. They're not even given a spotlight as they share the scene with freezebeats, and they both get phased out by the end of the level for that breakdown segment. I mean, imagine if they bring burnbeats back, and a new player is forced to play 5-2N as the simplest introduction to the concept. That's a lot to throw at a player still learning a completely new mechanic.

    File? I would like to test my polyrhythmic timing

  • @kingheron109
    @kingheron109Ай бұрын

    The file itself is an unreadable mess since every single polyrhythm is stacked on top of each other (you can actually see this in the first few frames of the video). I used move track to make the level, but it messed up the floating text so I removed them in the final version and now it's next to impossible to edit any specific section that's not the very end. Honestly, any one polyrhythm from the video would be easy enough to recreate within minutes so I'd just do that instead. This was just a showcase video to get people experimenting more with this kinda thing.

    > I know Otto is red, but I don't know why. Otto becomes red as an indication that some parts of the song exceed 300 BPM, taking the precaution even if the "fast" parts don't really have any sharp turns. It looks like the rabbit stretches (1:05, 1:37, 2:19 and 2:40) are 320 BPM, so the game makes Otto red.
