The result of me messing around with the neo cosmos update for the last day or so. This idea seemed easier in my head, but as it turns out, triple planet levels are... kind of hard to make.
The normal rules of loops, and horizontals are onbeats, doesn't... always line up. To explain this, a 300 degree turn is twice as long as a 180 degree turn, and thus a simple 2 beat tile suddenly makes your "onbeats" no longer on a horizontal plain.
(Btw, has the 360 degree hotkey been removed? I can still make them with some track finagling, but it's not as straightforward) (Update: Found it. Well... unlocked. I think it's hidden behind completion of the One forgotten night tutorial. I completed it ages ago, but lost my data after getting neo cosmos, so I didn't realize)
These can be fixed with some quick patterns, or switching to 2 planets, but these 3 planet levels seem like they'll require a lot more care to produce. (And a lot more trial and error) Plus... sight reading them is pretty hard.
Also swing... thankfully, I made a handy chart that lets me know which angles to use, but even trying a few common patterns within the 3 planet system creates a huge visual issue. They're just not easy to sight read. Not like regular 2 planet patterns.
(Like, they're readable in level, since the 3 planet "quarter note" is mapped to a 240 degree angle, but if they were mapped to a 180 degree angle, it wouldn't be as nice.)
I don't know if anything I've just written makes any sense at all.
(Should I even bother uploading a level? It's just Jungle city, but remapped...)

I like how even though the rhythm and presses are still the same as the original, it's not just 3 balls for the entire level. The transitions between 2 and 3 actually make sense so that the path doesn't get too crazy, and I really admire that.

it IS possible but you'll see a lot of camera changes and it'll be hard to sightread

@@igorjosue8957 that is fair, but i would like to argue that it is still possible to create without speed changes or whatever is going on at 0:31, its like not even a level at that point you are just left guessing unless you know the inputs already

i haven't even seen the dlc yet but this looks terrifying .. edit: now that i've played the dlc, ngl the triple ball is easier

The 360 Hotkey is just Shift + Spacebar now. Just using Spacebar makes you play the level.

@@AustynL It was just Spacebar, and the only hotkey to start a level was the P key.
I haven’t gotten to the 3 planet levels yet but I’ve played jungle city so much that this level seems eazy

there should be a mode where if you complete neo cosmos there should be a three ball button like when you complete the game you get speed trials.

Level made with 3 planets, and requires the DLC.
If I’m being honest this part shows that you pay attention to how to triple planets are playing 0:31
Fun fact: the clicks are the same as the original level.

I think its color is automatically generated based on your current 2. I don't have proof of this, but that seems to be the case based on what I've seen.
