If you look back at all the ancient artifacts and all the statues that were built for worshiping serpents.. All this talk about lizards that can look like humans and then vampires that look somewhat like snake lizards?? For me I have a hard time believing that any of this is fake because where there is a hint of a fairy tale or a lie it sparked from a speck of Truth.. Look at the new Cyber trucks that are out driving around that look like something straight out of a 1980 sci-fi movie but here we are... Look at the drones in the spaceships in the planes map of today's culture that they said would never happen.. Look at the fact that we can clone animals and humans.. So I ask you when you think something's crazy?? How far is it from reality??

It's amazing that, once they have her unconcious for enough time to cage her, they don't even try to stake her heart. Unbelievable

I loved this movie. And it ended right about where the Dracula book seems to begin. I would have loved to have seen how they handled the next stage of the story.

Funny they think the world can transition to suit vampires within a decade, while we can't even feasibly setup the infrastructure to power our nations and fuel the EV push, or support the current residents of our nations.

So fun fact, Dracula wasn't supposed to be Vlad the Impaler. Bram Stoker did some research into Romanian folklore, came across Vlad's honorific (Dracula), & thought it would be a cool name for the villain of his vampire story. He most likely didn't even know who Vlad was while he was writing the book.

Hey, just noticed that Abigail's eyes are blue in her very first scene, when she's practicing on the stage! Good bit of foreshadowing. Also, I think the Hat Man is Lazar. He's definitely wearing men's clothes from the period. Plus, in the last scene when Lazar and Abigail are standing in the library together, they're standing under their own statues, but while the statues are turned away from each other, the vampires are now turned towards each other, definitely indicating that the statue is of Lazar. It's possible that when Abigail call him her "Father", she means that he's the one who turned her rather than her biological parent. I suppose he got lonely and decided he wanted to try being a father, adopted and turned a child, but then, as Abigail said, got bored.

The statue and painting depict with men wore in the 15th century Europe and Abigail is way older than 200 yrs. Seems like Dracula turned her in the 1400s. Just wish they gave more context as to why he would make a 12 yr old a vampire

Maybe the dad loved Abigail’s mother and she became sick or something and it hurt him emotionally. So in order for it to not happen to him again he turned his daughter. But then again why wouldn’t he have not turned the mother? Or did the mother die unexpectedly instead of getting sick? 🤷‍♂️

This is a really good quality version of vampires. And one of the versions I wouldn’t mind myself. Since it showed a bloodlust issue I wonder if turning his child was an accident and their relationship is strained both because she’s an eternal child and because he will have to take care of her forever.

Personally I think the vampires from Salems lot are the scariest. They’re part feral animal, part intelligent sadistic predator. Especially how Stephen king describes them in the book, with some vestige of the person they used to be, but it’s become corrupted and perverted into something horrible. Like when he describes them as trying to smile but it comes off as a grimace because they can’t remember how to smile. Or when one of the human characters voices his belief that love must be beyond them. It makes being a vampire really sound like a curse, to have the capacity for love and joy stripped away, and have an unending hunger that you’ll never be able to satisfy. Plus their appearance in the miniseries(excluding barlow) where they have the gray dead look of corpses with the sunken bright yellow eyes.

To force an African character as a protagonist /hero in Mideval Romania's Dracula is such a disservice to everything!! Deep troubling throw off!! The Author, the story, the characters, the movie audience, the African actor himself!! Whitewashing is wrong. Also, blackwashing is wrong! Stick to the original authentic intentions of the Author and the story!! Africa has many folklore and stories rich beautiful ancient history you can draw so many stories and movie materials from. Do that to do the African culture justice, not use them as lead roles in European stories!! This is rediculous!!

i don't know if it's confirmed or not but i can also see this movie being an homage to anne rice and claudia. claudia and abigail are very alike (and the two of them have old people name lol) if you were to change abigail's name to claudia it could easily be a claudia's fanficc. and also Lazar and Lestat are not so different names when said out loud lol
