I service North New Jersey 201-747-6886. I am an HVAC Technician doing service and installations of Air Conditioning and Heating systems. I work on many different kind of heating systems. I have lots of steam boiler and hot water boiler/ baseboard/ radiant heat repair videos. I work on everything from residential to commercial systems. Most my videos are real service calls and jobs. I do the best I can to keep my customers comfortable and happy. Which can be seen in any of my videos.

the blue bypass knob - turning it counterclockwise will bypass the softener and get no soft water
Great job on the repair
Like the tech/teach. Why have the second magnehelic hose attached at all or in the mud? What is the reason that Kohler has two lines connected near where leaves and bugs would come through, rather than a large loop up and facing back to the base in a u fashion? Thanks Reed
I changed the battery and now I can’t set date and time and exercise time. Can’t get into system. Thanks
Hello bill from Ed Bon Jovi Aka. Leak master plumbing
How do I buy this part??
Amazing work
Good 👍
Why not find the leak before recharging… and pulling a vacuum … this is r22 we’re talking about
Great video.
Nice brazing 👍
why cant I use simple green or purple power??
I have a question. When I wash the inside of the condenser, I see water accumulate at the bottom. Is there a drainage hole at the bottom? Where is it and how to find it?
Yes all along the bottom of the condenser. If wet dirt/ mulch accumulates and buried compressor. It can rot the metal on the condenser or lead to coil rot
Year?
Great Addition! Good to see you. Miss your videos.
Nice to see you back. What wire strippers were those?
Another hvac tech ruining our field giving customers the encouragement they need to believe they can do things on their own. Thanks douchebag
Hey Hackster I see you still got it ... Hope to see more from ya ... Thx
Bill, where have you been! We missed you!
What's causing the head pressure to get too high Bill?
Maybe you need to replay the video. did you not see the rug covering the condenser. He said he was returning to put on an external high-pressure switch. That probably means the internal high-pressure switch went bad because it was short cycling on the high-pressure switch due to the rug covering the outdoor coil.
@@rv10flyer84 I assumed he cleaned it. This must be a quick fix until he gets the coil cleaned.
@@MoellerEngineeringCo. in the end of the video he shows the coil, it’s clean as a whistle. He cleaned it, probably bypassed the internal pressure switch until the return trip and then put the one external, so that it would have protection again. We don’t like standing on our heads to remove a bad pressure switch that was brazed in by manufacture, taking shortcuts instead of putting a service port with a Schrader core in it. I’ve done exactly the same process as he did several times over the past 30 years.
The condenser was filthy. With temps being mid 90’s all week, I cleaned the coil and tested the system with the hi pressure switch removed from the circuit. It was stuck open. I should have filmed the first trip out. York brazes the switch inside the condenser. Which becomes a labor intensive job. I offered both options, i recommended this was the best path to take. I try to be respectful of my customers money. These access tees are used for many different applications. Very handy to have.
I never knew those flares were good enough.
Often these are used with fan cycle controls. Very useful to have.
Glad to see you back Bill. Cheers from Europe 🍻
Hi Hacker! Missed your videos hope you’re back and doing well !
Stay bright8 ftw
👍
Great to have you back.
Glad to see ya bill
Good to see a new video, watch out for the heat!
I remember when i was new everytime i disconnected the low voltage and the contactor would chatter it would scare the hell out of me even though i knew the hifh voltage was off 😂
It gets me at times. As seen in many of my vids
great fix!
Hacker brother where you been? I have really enjoyed the videos over the years.
Bill, I am a home inspector and contractor for the past 40 years. I know why the trap is there, but you are the first guy on YT to explain it in layman terms. Nice job
How does the thermostat trigger the coil for AC in the same way it does the furnace for heat? I've watched dozens of videos and don't see an electronic connection between the furnace and coil. Just a home owner on the verge of possibly replacing my entire system.
Most coils don’t have electric controls. The fan from furnace and the condenser does all the work. The coil is a heat exchanger.
Awesome video! Respect! Question: I know it's different in every town but aren't there inspections required once completed (at least for the electric and natural gas)?
Not for an evaporator replacement. It’s considered a repair. Only need permits for system replacements. Then the system needs mechanical, electric, and plumbing inspections in most towns.
annoying mtf
wow I cant here a word your saying
Thank you for this informative video
You could be good if you actually knew what you were doing
Proper way to fill the battery is to add distilled water to just below the level gauge. If filled to or above these, the electrolyte can wick out and cause a conductive moisture on top of the battery. Then corrosion begins to build up. Pro Tip: A clean and moisture free battery top will never corrode.
At 4:30 to 5:00, he's taking off the pressure gauge 'before' turning off the shutoff valve on the line . WTF?
i currently have a very slow leak on my low pressure switch. was quoted $708 to replace it (June '24) from a quite reputable dealer here in my area. i said to the tech, "get outt'a here. that can't be that much." he said, "no really, that's what it costs." then, i said to him, "you are misunderstanding me. i said to get outt'a here. that means...pick up all your shit, put it away, clean up, get in your brand new company truck, and get the F outt'a here." i'm sorry, but i don't care good or reputable the person is who is performing the replacement... i don't even care if you can actually walk on water and your name on your birth certificate is 'AC Jesus Christ!'... there is no way on planet earth that a $30 pressure switch replacement should cost $708. I get it... evacuate the lines / save the R410a that's in the system, torch the old switch off, solder the new one on, pull vacuum to confirm good repair, and recharge the system. 1 person for maybe 2 hours total. $325 is what it should cost plus the cost of topping up any lost refrigerant. all you AC companies and techs out there charging this ridiculous amount of money can just go.suck.an.egg. #yousuck #thief #gotohell
Do it yourself then 😂....you forgot to mention that you had no clue what was wrong with your unit in the first place and needed an expert to figure it out. That knowledge isn't free remember that!
It's people like you that makes me money when your shit breaks and needs to be replaced cos you were too cheap to fix it. Spend a dollar to save a dime. Thanks for putting bread on my table 👏
My water heater is leaking around the inlet and outlet nipple. Its the nipple i believe its the tank. Can i do this? Completely drain the tank and dry the area well?
Checked my kohler engine oil today. Oil on dip stick looked clean. When I plulled the oil filler cap off. There was some milky moisture on the inside of the filler cover. The kohler generator was installed Sept.2022..
What is the typical operating temperature of a common kitchen refrigerator compressor? A modern one, less than 10 years of age. Mine is running 125F when not running, and up to 170F when running a lot to restore fridge and freezer temps. Is this fine? Thanks.
Could you have looked in one of the other identical units to see if they still had their wiring diagram?
Probably when they took the old one out
Picked up a new pipe cutter with a big diameter cutting wheel. Maybe 1" round, it barely leaves a burr if you go slow. Nice work on this one
im gonna use Windex!!! i don't want to spend money as I'll never use that leak stuff again. Also you cant mess up the ratio (making your own soapy water mix) Windex FOR THE WIN. ha
He's not a tech!
That actually helped thanks bro
