Haggardquake is the 2nd biggest disappointment in WH3 next to the big hyped, promised "better siege battles".

Is the friendly fired labourers value subtracted from your score? Maybe the mortar actually pay for itself? Also 2 units that was slowed down didnt add capture weight in on point ...🤔
I dont think it would have worked here but i like the idea of having the dreadquake rolling dirty near the frontline to get more accurate shots and maybe work as a distracting pincushion for bow heavy factions.

I think the DQ Mortar forced Cathay to be on the offensive to invest in attacking your main objective and not hard push the third objective just by existing and through the few good hits it had. I agree the Rocket launcher probably would be better but with the misplay with the Iron Daemon its hard to say if you should have just gone without that unit and kept the DQ. to improve the mortar maybe its worth it to put a couple chevrons on the unit (though im not sure if that still improves the accuracy) or shooting from shorter range to improve the accuracy of the shots also targeting can get weird with units that are spread out due to being knocked around.
I only play land battle, but there dreadquake only feels feasible if on the RoR train. It doesn't get killed instantly by something like double bolt thrower and it maybe possible gets a bit more accurate from the chevrons. But it's also a huge risk due to the cost and the targeting gets janky when towed because it only fires when the cart on the back is facing the target.
Dwarf king absolutely beats a chaos lord because of the way that dwarven runes work. They can raise their ws, strength, damage, durability, etc much much more effectively.
Petition to rename the Chorf artillery to the "Dudquake," all in favor?
If the dreadquake is that inaccurate maybe you just aim center of mass on the enemy formation and hope for the best?

Can someone tell me if the abilities of ROR hellcannon are not worth using? I saw that Turin didn't use them even once
Are dwarf cannons the only ones that got grapeshot? feel like cathay artillery needs some love. Not like their ground units are going to do anything.

Cathay is missing too many things tbf, its roster is sooo limited atm, that's why it's so bad in competitive, 37% wr for such beatiful faction is sad af ngl
there is a science to it: the further you are the less accuracy, basically consider it a mid range artillery piece that can do long range shots if youre feeling lucky.

in my experince the dreadquakes need to shoot at half or less of their maximum range to be good. trying to use them at max range is a disaster. note that i have only used them in campain. half range might be to risky against artilery faction

From my experience in campaign, dreadquake seems to aim at the edge of the unit it’s targeting, vastly reducing its chance to hit.
Dread quake seemingly is only accurate when it shoots automatically at your own units by accident…

it hurts to do it but you NEED to triple gold chevron your dreadquake. Your accuracy and not to mention RELOAD SPEED is drastically improved. Every missed shot is one that could have destroyed an entire unit. Spend the extra gold. Don't troll yourself.
Yeah I was wondering why my impression of dreadquakes is so much better, then I remember I use them in campaign where they get up to max chevrons in about 3 battles.
How much additional gold does it cost to chevron it?
The dread is only felt by the guy who's bringing the Dreadquake.

If you can you prefer to target at 2/3 of the max range. Dreadquakes hit like a truck so yeah the balanced it with a bad accuracy which can be increased with chevrons.
It's not just the accuracy. The dreadquake sometimes just straight up ignores your orders and shoots whatever it wants.
i'm not sure why turin is using gooning instead of ganking but i'm not sure he's familiar with the alternative interpetation of that word
