Yesterday I actually found out about these and my rendering time went from like 15 seconds to literally like 2 or 3 seconds (it was not a huge render thing but just a small one but doing this stuff helped 100%!)

For those using Blender 4.0+: The expression on the wheel's driver should be "tan(-var)", rather than just "-var"

i never use the open image or optix denoiser but render denoising pass and use compositing denoising, i feel like i have more control over the product that way
@KaizenTutorialsКүн бұрын
Ah yeah, you do get more control. I think using the basic version is merely just an easy quick way of doing things!

My wheels stop rotating after a certain point. What am I doing wrong?
@KaizenTutorialsКүн бұрын
You're using quaternion rotation. Try selecting the wheels and in the object propereties change the rotation value to XYZ.

11:35 - How that works: it's an inverted alpha mask. instead of 1 means "show", 1 means "don't show", because of "delete geometry(? ... 1=yes)". that's it.

Do you also know some courses for game assets? Maybe even modular game assets?
@KaizenTutorials4 күн бұрын
3D Tudor's course and the MAster Urban environment go over a lot of these principles. 3D tudors is more procedural/modular, but the Master Urban also covers modular environment assets. The workflow for these assets is the same for environment assets as it would be for props. Only difference might be poolycount and texture size.

Im constantly running out of vram for my (very) heavy scenes, I even cant use optix to render because it 100% of the time runs out of memory... i have to use cuda instead even tho i have a rtx4070 with 12gb of vram 🥲 do you have any additional advice? Great vid 👌
