Hey er, might not be the best, but I personally thought the Colosso tutorials from blender could be an honourable mention. It was extremely expensive, but the content was quite unique and I don't think I found anything similar (what I took) in both paid or free tutorials, which was all about making 3D characters/objects look like 2D anime, and I had hella good time following the course, and boosted my motivation ^ ^

Hey, your tutorials are great! C4D designer here! I've used so much with C4D, but I see how blender is not that hard, I was wondering about the RENDER. With Redshift I got VERY fast render times...my question is how you guys render?
@KaizenTutorials
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Good to see people from C4D also watch my stuff :-) To asnwer your questions; rendering in Blender is done via one of two of Blender's Built-in render engines. There's Cycles, a Path Tracing render engine, just like Redshift, which can either take ages to render or be quite fast, depending on your settings and most of all your PC hardware and then there's the EEVEE engine, which is a realtime engine. It requires more tweaking to get the result you want visually, but it's super fast and can generate pretty lifelike images if you know what you're doing with almost realtime render speeds! Hope this helps :-)
Thank you so much for this really wide and interesting video about blender. I also have a question for you, what is the poster in the frame behind you, I love his layout and style. could you give here the reference ? To follow the artist ?

It's not from a course specifically, it's an amazing artwork by Clayton Sjoerdsma. But it's a showcase of the things you can achieve by becoming better at Blender, which all of these courses will definitely help with!
Have you taken the cubic worlds course ? If so do you think it would be useful knowledge to have even outside of the cubic worlds universe ? I've never bought a course before but I am hesitating between the cubic worlds course and master environments by cg boost Great video btw
@KaizenTutorials
Жыл бұрын
The two courses are actually quite different, so first of all I'd say what is your goal; do you want to become better at creating environments, or do you want to become better at Blender in general? The Cubic Worlds course is definitely useful outside of the course itself, as it teaches a LOT of fundamentals. Yes they're all applied using the Cubic Worlds style, but the knowledge is applicable elsewhere. All the basics are covered, and things like shading, compositing and animation are all also touched on. The Environment course is much more specified. It teaches you things about shading for landscapes, material displacement (geared towards landscapes), material blending, camera animation etc. A lot of this is also shown in the Cubic Worlds course, just in a way less specified manner. So it all boils down to what you want to learn most and what you want to use the course for! Hope that helps :-)

@KaizenTutorials
8 ай бұрын
Hi! If you do follow all these courses, apply what you've learned and fully understand what's been taught, then yes you will probably have a high level understanding of 3D and it's fundamentals. However getting a true feel for things will always take time, no matter the amount of courses or tutorials you do. Developing a 'design' mind and style is something that comes with the years! But these courses will absolutely help get you there much faster than without courses. These are all one time purchase courses (so no monthly subscription) and in the case of CG Boost also include any and all updates in the future.

Hello I am a medical student who is interested at looking into blender to make educational videos for teaching resident doctors and the public ..like infographic video or animated videos. What hardware (laptop specs) and what courses would suit me best - having zero exposure prior?
@KaizenTutorials
Жыл бұрын
Hmm I think infographics are best done in other softwares such as After effects, but yeah you could do infographics. I would just try and learn the basics of Blender and animation, using a beginner course like the launch pad or cubic worlds. These will teach you what you need. They won't be specified, so you'll have to apply evertyhing yourself to get the things you wish to make. But they'll help for sure! In regards to specs; any decent new age laptop with an RTX card and 16+GB RAM will do fine for most usecases.

Жыл бұрын
There’s this universal principle that people like to call “understand just enough”. That means just trying to get a good understanding of the basics/fundamentals on every field. After that, you can create some projects applying all those basics and then deciding from there what specific field you wanna dive deeper into. Remember that no single person will ever be good at every field. Sooner or later, you will still need to find your niche, but to be able to do that, you need to understand ALL the fundamentals in every field. Hope that helps!
@shushu5474

Yeah it can be hard. I agree with the comments below, but my main advice is; it takes time. You have to develop a sense of how to make things look good. Almost no-one had this from the get go. Give it time, keep on creating and you’ll get there. The course, tutorials etc are all done by pro’s with tons of experience and they have developed that ‘eye’ for what looks good, just like you can!

If you’re new id say with the launch pad course. If you’re not new it depends on your goals.
If you want to be a pro, you need hours and hours of practice, not because you take a course your going to be a super pro and ready for the industry xD

Nope, but if you doa bunch of them and practice in between you'll get a long way there.
i prefer to learn from experience from the ground up

@@KaizenTutorials thank you sir.
with all due respect to you but it is ridiculous how none of these youtube videos suggest cgfasttrack while it is clearly the best and most in-depth course out there by an actual 3D Professor

I hear ya, but it's also a very well known course. I've seen literally hundreds of CGFasttrack results come by on the Blender subreddit, so I decided to not show it since most people already do know it!
I feel that in all the KZread recommendations... they always go to the same artists, is this reliable? or is it people paying for advertising and there is more valuable information hidden on the internet?

A bit of both! The list of courses isn’t endless and not all of them are equal in quality.
Are all these courses free
@KaizenTutorials

No they're actually all paid!
Is it possible to make a tutorials free?

A course you mean? There’s probably a few courses out there, but overall the quality of paid stuff is usually a lot better. You can also try skillshare and watch courses there
Most of the software nowadays I can’t buy, I can only subscribe to them… 🤦🏻♂️ and the prices are crazy….
