    Yeah there are a lot of people that still dont even know what tesla is. I had someone ask me if it uses gas too.. umm nooo. Then so many are so surprised when they actually get in one and ride or drive it. I feel some advertising would help. But man you would be surprised at how many are uneducated on Teslas.

    10:53 Now is probably the right time for Tesla to start mass advertising. Even if Elon doesn't agree because Cybercab will advertise itself, if deliveries continue to lag production, this is not a sustainable business model.

    I love you guys, but solve the climate crisis? The climate changing has been an issue on this planet for billions of years. Man can not change the climate, especially when you have almost 8 billion people on the planet. It's delusional and used by politicians to get votes. Having said that, I own a Tesla and own Tesla stock because it is incredible technology, and it's the future. I don't miss my high maintenance, noisy, and dangerous carbon monoxide producing gas car.

    *IDEA* ! (Someone mentioned a QR code?) . QR Label. Available at Tesla centres (or comes with the car?). Stick on the inside of "a window" . (EDIT! AND on every Charger!) . Just the code with *INFORMATION* printed below. . Scan the code, you get a menu. "TOP 1O MYTHS" (Or "questions") . "ABOUT THIS CAR" . "CAN YOU AFFORD ME?" . "BUT CHARGING!?" (etc) . CHEAP advertising. . Keep a copy of the QR on your person (on your phone?) If someone spouts FUD (hardcore, or just misinformed), ask them... "Are you REALLY interested?" . If they say "yes". Just say "scan this" . Then you can either just say "enjoy!" Or, spend 5 minutes addressing points. . THEY are more likely to "spread the truth" if THEY have that info on their phone, rather than just a "rough idea" that the intentionally ignorant can counter with the "don't argue with an id10t" method.

    Government funding takes time due to all of the over sight. You want the most frustrating class you will ever take. Try governmental accounting! Called Fund Accounting. Funds typically sit in the general fund, but their might be a specific fund which has a special funding tax? That tax fund has to be created and administered. Funds are then made available to the distributors of the program. Who have to look at the bill and interpret who why and what gets to participate. Then hand out forms and how to get help on filling out the details to submit. Each does their own accounting but in the fund accounting manner. Was Giga Texas built in a day? Hell it hasn't stopped and will be building for many years. But one could make a case that a lot of waste has taken place that cost the company money to redo. So no organization is perfect is it?

    Texas.... Waste of money"? Since the rapid rise of AI wasnt "a thing" when GF Texas was planned, continued building (I assume you mean the extension?) isn't "a waste of money". Flip that "coin" to "They're building product *while STILL building the factory* (!!!) Which is quite commendable. (Same applies to the unboxed line inside.... Something "others" would find at least "challenging"?)

    Alabama utility greed! Alabama Power [a regulated private utility owned by Southern Company] controls the lower 2/3rds of the state. They have a 38% higher profit margin than Georgia Power which is also controlled by Southern Company. Wonder how that could be? Maybe you could go off grid? But they want a piece of the action Vinny!! The contributor and my relatives there should look for legislators that will bring in competition and eliminate their coal plants by forcing roof top solar programs. But I like the pricing plan. Maybe he can get batteries and use them during peak to power the home. I can do that with my powerwalls but the new one will be less money and it is a good write off and the gateway allows you to program when it charges and when it offsets in peak hours. They probably give him the same rate for charging a car during that time zone. Flatten the duck curve. Plus miss out on brown outs. This is what I found out from searching Alabama power, 'Why is Alabama Power so expensive? Both Alabama Power and the APSC blame rising costs partly on inflation. But if you really want someone to blame for high energy bills, the commission points the finger at the Biden Administration's “punitive and radical energy policies.” Feb 22, 2024' i.e. anti-solar, pro oil, gas and coal [which is in short supply at high costs]. Sounds like the regulatory commission is working for the utilities not the people of Alabama. But it is one of the poorest states. The next question should be, Why is power so cheap at certain hours? Followed by, Why don't they have any solar or wind projects? Problem is you can't fix stupid.

    I think Tesla needs to spend their advertising money on putting marquee signs up at all of their charging stations so the general public knows how many charging stations are out there and Tesla owners can find the charging station in the shopping mall or supermarket easier.

    Hello Both, So good to be still watching, I think it was about show 12 when I started. So much good stuff. I manage to get my first demo drive in a Tesla model 3. Just the standard version and it was so good far better than I was hoping. Thank you both. I do have two questions you or someone you know may be able to help. I am a disabled driver and with my ICE cars i have had to have the power steering enhanced/(made stronger so steering is much lighter. I know the model 3 has three setting but even on the lightest found it too much. Do you know of any way of making it lighter. The Tasla sales person was try to look for me and I am try me local places in the UK. Number two can you make the maps on the Tesla UI full screen hiding the vehicle animation (that is amazing)

    Double-edged sword that one. Sure, as a stock holder I would appreciate more sales, but then on the other hand, as you make a parody of that kind of person who gets his ideas from the mainstream, they are "dried my cat in the microwave oven, now it's dead and I am going to sue your a$$!" type of crowds. I would not mind if the average IQ of a fellow driver stayed higher a little bit longer... maybe it would be better to leave transportation of the mainstream-steered crowds entirely to robotaxis on some later day...On the other hand, pretty sure that there would be still court cases for people who merely wanted to take a ride to Sparta, Wisconsin around the corner and ended up in Greece with the respective bill and they're gonna sue Tesla's A$$ dammit.

    Please recalculate! Oil vs. solar panels. The number and calculations were helpful yet missing one crucial element to make the calculation more accurate: (1) how much oil and natural gas (ONG) is consumed to mine and refine the materials to build a solar panel (2) how much ONG is consumed to manufacture a solar panel (3) how much ONG is consumed to distribute and deploy a solar panel? Not one solar panel, wind turbine, EV or battery storage system has been manufactured and deployed without consuming fossil fuels. We generate fossil fuel pollution to extract fossil fuels, consume more fossil fuels to refine and distribute fossil fuels, consume more fossil fuels to operate mining equipment to extract minerals to manufacture renewable energy products… and on and on. I look forward to a time when we stop burning fossil fuels and use those precious resources to produce quality polymers and lubricants to keep EVs rolling. We still have a lot of work to do. @elonmusk

  • @rogerstarkey5390
    @rogerstarkey53902 сағат бұрын

    Ok... You went there .. "How much ONG is used to...." Refine ONG? Transport ONG to point of use? Manufacture the materials to construct OTHER forms of generation? Then transport THOSE materials? . How much ONG remains on the Grid while those alternatives are built, without the possibility to "Ramp" (and remove the ONG) as individual elements (Panels/ Turbines) are connected individually? . Do EVs use MORE or LESS lubricant over their lifetime compared to Fossil Fuel vehicles? (LESS ... and it's a HUGE difference! ... you really shot yourself in the foot with that one!! ONE [5,000 mile?] oil change on an ICE uses more oil than it takes to lubricate an EV for its WHOLE life! ) . As for "Not one unit deployed without fossil fuels" THAT DAY *WILL* COME! And sooner than you think, probably in China (!) . Should I add "smh"?

    Real talk, there does need to be a conversation about how /where e-bikes can be deployed. There are not many regulations around how bikes can be used around the city, and even what regulations there are, they are not enforced. With e-bikes, they are often going 2-3 times the speed of someone on a traditional bike. The number of times I have had close encounters with someone riding an e-bike too fast on a pedestrian way is significantly more than traditional bikes. Also, I know the number of mountain bike accidents has increased with e-bikes because people with less experience now feel more empowered to do riskier behavior. Don't want to ban them, but we should have a conversation.

    I doubt that the $42B has actually been spent. It is pretty common for governments to announce a program for the clicks, and then put delays and red tape in the way to get the funds so that they don't ever have to actually spend the money. Generally the program is forgotten by the time anyone realises that this was the intention. I think that this is how it is with the rural broadband thing.
