FSD should be transferable indefinitely until it becomes reality. That is the only time it should have an ending as you have actually got what you paid for. Otherwise you are getting partial benefits and are really funding its research.

Wrong on one thing. illegal immigrants are not exempt from any taxes. They still have to pay any sales taxes, property taxes, and are legally required to pay income taxes on any income. They are even legally required to pay payroll tax for Social Security even though they are not eligible for Social Security benefits. Of course, if they hide that income, they could evade the income tax, but that applies to everyone, citizen or non-citizen alike.

I agree. It's hard to fit all that in a soundbite. I don't think it's as simple as people think. There are laws and rights that all persons have under the constitution including immigrants. If it were as simple as some say then states like Texas would not be sending people to northern states; they would just deport them. I'm no expert on this issue but I can see the nuances that are missing from this conversation.

Minus sales tax, I'm willing to bet that most illegals don't pay property tax because they don't own property. As you stated, they are required to pay income tax but many are paid under the table or they deal in cash thus paying little to none. Even when it comes to sales tax, since many deal in cash, I'm willing to bet that there is a large chunk of sales that isn't taxed. They only pay payroll tax if they are on the up-and-up but a lot are paid under the table.

This judge is obviously extremely overpaid, and should pay back everything she earned over the last five years for the incompetence she displayed.

It is incorrect that in general asylum seekers in the US do not pay taxes. If they have taken a job from an honest employer they are subject to income taxes, FICA taxes, and reporting to the IRS by their employers. I have known employers who paid "under the table" to avoid their share of taxes, but that is on them, not the undocumented workers. As for Social Security, if you have not paid in you cannot collect. Also, one has to prove citizenship to vote in Federal elections, though there are isolated local elections on local issues that allow any local resident to vote.

Judge's ruling was wrong. I voted for the compensation plan that was earned by Elon. Idiots who think otherwise don't have a clue about how much he has moved Tesla to the incredible successful corporation it is today ($59 billion to $800+ billion), and it's future potential will be substantial greater with Elon at the helm. Delaware to Texas for incorporation!!!

Um stockholders also like predictability. Also what has happened to Tesla stock value since the ruling? Haven't the shareholders been damaged by the ruling?

I hope the board comes up with a new bigger and better package. As a shareholder I will vote for it hands down!

As you know towing is going to be a challenge with charging, Please ask your network to make a extension cord, end to end for the Tesla high speed charging station. I carry one for my Tesla RAV4, I've been ICE'd a few times and thank god I had the extra 25ft cord to extend my J1772 cord. This might be handy, So you don't have to disconnect the trailer. A lot of places you can parallel park behind the normal charging stations. You just need the reach!

Elon is perfectly able to sign a bonus scheme which is based on future share price. The issue here is that it was excessive.

I was trying so hard to follow what's been going on with Elon's compensation package and got absolutely nowhere looking at 90% of the articles out there about it. Again, thank you Zack and Jesse for summing it up so well for everyone that does not always have the time to investigate and filter out all the misleading info out there about Tesla.

Okay so now share holders know how “close” Elon was with the board etc. (Thanks to the judge) so with this new information let’s vote again. (To reinstate the pay package) of course. Also let’s vote to leave Delaware.

I'm surprised that gas stations Chevron, ARCO, Shell, BP, etc, aren't installing their own super chargers. Especially if they have store. Even better, Truck stops with restaurants and shower. Pilot, Loves, TA. Should all have EV chargers.

Pilot is starting to install a bunch. In cooperation with EVgo, they plan to have 200 installed by end of 2024. It's a perfect setup with a restaurant and other amenities already there!

@@evanhil02 Smart move. It takes 25 to 35 minutes to charge an EV to 80%. The people in the vehicle don't want to sit in there while it's charging. They just drove 250-300 miles. They want to stretch and walk. Give then food and a store to shop in. OK, and a washroom. But they don't make money on the washroom.

What I do since year's. I skip all the mainstream Tesla- "news" and I'm waiting for you guys to inform me correctly. Thank U very much.

Can we not sue this share holder for causing the share price to fall because of the outcome? Best I can tell TSLA has fallen due to this law suite and the recent outcome. I would think that we, as current shareholders, have just as good of a case as this individual. Actually, I would say it seems like a much clearer cut case. This outcome against Tesla/Elon is very clearly affecting me, without question.

Nothing to eat late at night means no people, means less safe particularly for women. But it's still better to have the chargers than not. In five or ten years, petrol station sites will either become blocks of flats and shops, or they'll be EV charging hubs with shops.

So now if a judge can overrule shareholder decisions, does that mean shareholders have no rights anymore???

When I visit San Mateo there are electric cars however not a lot. There is more hybrid cars. There is also very polluting cars. There is not a lot of charging stations i.e. stores gas stations etc.

With all of this politics surrounding Elon, I feel like I’m watching Tucker the movie play again.

Hi. I was following the involvement of Henrik Fisker right from the time of when he was Contracted to design the then new Model S. I looked into his background as a designer and what he had achieved. I also watched as he simply took his initial designs he was making for Tesla prototypes of Model S and err... "borrowed" those designs for his own vehicle. When Elon decided that his prototype designs were getting worse (away from what Tesla wanted) he fired him and bought in Franz von Holzhausen as designer. (that turned out to be a winner for Tesla! lol) Strange that only a matter of months later, the first Fisker car was produced! He had obviously been working behind the scenes on his own car at the same time! However, Fisker was a car designer, NOT an engineer. Elon said he had never been given the advanced internal designs and this was apparent when Fisker's initial cars, that he was already selling, had huge problems with overheating of the batteries plus numerous other engineering issues. Many of his cars LOOK great but there are always faults internally. That's why the company Fisker has gone bankrupt twice already and it's a real mess trying to follow the financial history of what Heinrik has been doing. Frankly, while a brilliant designer of cars, he's incompetent both as an engineer and as a businessman. His business dealings match what Trevor Milton at Nickola Motors did. Heinrik Fisker is a con man, pure and simple.

Oh, my comment below was part of my due diligence before investing large sums of money into Tesla Motors. I had carefully followed Tesla Motors from Sept 2003 before Elon even got involved. I'm a Kiwi and so was Ian Wright, also considered one of the initial founders of Tesla Motors. So, I followed every step taken with Tesla, including the funding arrangements by Wright that bought in Elon Musk to Tesla. I've followed every step they made, ever since. Including the designers used. Hence Henrik Fisker's involvement before he then ran the various forms of Fisker Motors. Cheers. What a debacle it is.

It's extremely unfair to people like me that spent years and thousands of dollars in legal fees (although my company paid for it) to go through the legal immigration process. You could get batteries VAT free in the UK if you bought them at the same time as your solar install. But many people who already had solar or couldn't afford to pay for both at the same time lost out. Now you can buy the batteries without having to buy solar at the same time. 😅

I hope our justice system is not so corrupt. I hope Tesla company’s and Elon gets a fair trial.

Tesla will not re incorporate in Texas. The tax implications are not favorable for such a move. Either Tesla wins the appeal or they redo the pay package in a manner that complies with the ruling. They could do both so that if the appeal fails they simply adopt the new compliant pay package.

Yep, there is a very good reason so many companies are based in Delaware. Musks little Twitter vote is just a dummy spit and Tesla would likely be sued into the ground by shareholders if they did actually move to Texas.

Correct me if I’m wrong. If you don’t vote your shares your brokerage automatically do so. Also, your brokerage votes all the individual holdings in an etf or fund. My question is why can’t I give my voting proxy to Elon for all or part of my holdings. He says he needs 25% voting authorization to be comfortable, and I personally believe Tesla would just be another car company without him…maybe not right away, but soon.

I hope that eventually when people complain about a wrong beung done, i.e. musk - Delaware, that the SOLUTION is also included, or even a suggestion.

They can not vote. Some local governments do allow noncitizens to vote on local stuff only, but they cannot vote on state and federal elections. You must be a US citizen. PERIOD.

Because they can't. Only US citizens can vote in elections. Summer local governments allow non citizens to vote on only local stuff but otherwise, you must be a full citizen, not a permanent resident or immigrant.
