I put out a semi once. Diesel of course. I work for an LP company and this guy pulled right next to us while we just so happened to be getting a propane load delivered so I had to jump the fence with a couple fire extinguishers. Dude was all lazy about it and didn’t lift a finger to help. I’m surprised he even bothered getting out. But to your point, I’ve seen several ICE fires, but never a BEV fire as well. That’s likely due to the predominance of ICE vs. BEV, but the rate they burn vs. BEV will likely make it so that both of us never personally encounter one… **knocking on my head as there’s no wood immediately around atm…**

Oil et al dripping from them and ultimately washing into the storm drains. Diesel and gasoline overflowing due to jacked up nozzles that do not shut off as designed (which I’ve had happen on more than one occasion…). Jack asses littering in the lot, etc etc. Oh and when’s the last time you were propositioned by a syphilitic lot lizard at a Tesla Supercharger….?🤔🤷🏾‍♂️

This is not true. both the first stage and the capsule are reused. there is video of first stages landing if you go look. This is why we now say that falcon 9 is the only reuseable ORBITAL CLASS booster. although rocketlab is closing in on the goal of being the second to refly an orbital class booster..

I know we all saw the concept drawing, to be honest I hope it is not a three wheeled two seater. At least make it a four to five seater, with trunk room for suit cases. Travelers to and from an airport would be the first in line for this.

You can make your own screens pretty easily. Home Depot (or similar) has kits. Buy the frame kit, cut it to size, install the screen material, and voila - you've got screens to the size you'd like.

Now that you have a Cybertruck you need to recreate your cross country drive in Sparky. That said, you may want to wait until Tesla updates the Cybertruck with FSD, or at least, Autopilot. I loved how you praised Autopilot in your series on the trip, and how exhausted you would have been if you had to "drive" the entire trip. I drove my wife and daughter from Morgantown, West Virginia to Portland, Oregon way back in 1986. Pre-electric days, of course. We left at 6:30 AM on a Monday and arrived at 6:30 PM on that Friday evening. We made only one planned stop at the USAF Museum in Dayton, Ohio. Otherwise we drove every day until we stopped for the night at motels. Except for getting caught in a blizzard between Denver and Cheyenne, Wyoming, we made good time. We even averaged about 25 mpg while driving a loaded station wagon towing a small cube trailer, also loaded. Not bad for a little 4 cylinder car. Can't wait to watch you practice Deja Vu all over again. To quote Yogi Berra.

From a 8 year Tesla driver, here's a comment and question about FSD: On my 21 km drive to town, I'm passing through 8 speed limit changes on a 14 km stretch. I'm driving on regular AutoSteer (in Sweden). After local road which I drive myself, I turn onto main road with 80 km/h speed limit and switch on AutoSteer at 84 km/h (82 km/h real speed, no fine for 2 km/h over limit). After ±2 km the speed limit changes to 60 km/h. AutoSteer adjust the speed to 64 km/h, but only does so after passing the sign. It takes 100-150 meter to actually reach a speed of 64 km/h. The camera located 100 meter after the 60 km/h speed sign flashes and the ticket shows 68 km/h measured speed, ±$80 fine. About 600 meters later the speed limit is back to 80 km/h, but AutoSteer does not adjust the speed from 64 to 84 km/h, I have to do this manually (some updates ago the speed was adjusted buth down- and upward, but not anymore). This repeats itself 3 more times, (80 to 60, back to 80) * 3 and if camera's would be placed at these 3 as well, the fine would be over $600. After the 3rd 60 km/h zone, there is a crossing where I have way and directly after a bridge where the road narrows ±0.5 meter and has steel guide rails on each side. Each time the car steers to the right and -if not corrected- will drive into the guard rail. On clear mornings, with the sun from the left or right front, the wipers switch on when in auto. On cloudy days the wipers stay off when it starts to rain and I have to switch them on manually to see through the windscreen. The road has slow 30-40 degree turns, where AutoSteer is not fast enough in keeping the lane (clear white stripes). It starts shouting (no other word for the loud warning signal) that I have to take over manually immediately. I correct but use so much steering angle that AutoSteer is ended. Quite often when running AutoSteer, I get the message that "lane departure is not available". How can this be when the AutoSteer system that is supposed to keep me inside the white lines is up and running? Here's my question: If there is so much trust in FSD and Robotaxi's without steering wheel, why can't these simple things be solved. - The car sees a speed sign way ahead. Please adjust the speed, so that the new speed limit is achieved when passing the sign, not 150 meters later. - Adjust AutoSteer speed not only downward, but also upward - Finally fix the auto wipers. Sure, we can now switch them off when in AutoSteer of Adaptive Cruise Control, but with camera only control, does this keep me safe? - Why can other car manufacturers have working auto wipers, but Tesla can't? - Fix error messages that are not logical. It is because of simple stuff as described above (which is not even 25% of the simple things that go wrong on AutoSteer) that I don't have your and Elon's faith in FSD. Sure, it can do magical things, but can it also do the simple stuff? And can it do all of this so well that we don't need pedals and steering wheel? I have my doubts...

Auto wipers are completely useless and 100% pain in the as$. Bug guts or any smears on windshield and the run dry scrapping across the window. Even if it is raining still useless 90% of the time because you don't even need wipers with a tesla, if you leave it alone the water just beads and runs right off

You guys are completely wrong on the the total milage comment about 27 mins in. I have a a 2013 S my current max milage is 232. remember charging above 50-60% is much slower. I was going to trade in my S for a new one b4 01 April 2024 to transfer my unlimited free supercharging and the ~400 miles of range. On road trips I have to charge to 90-100% and it takes ~ 1 Hr. With more range I would keep in the 15-25 mins of charging that I was promised initially.

I currently am testing FSD. Unfortunately the mapping system has incorrect speeds for roads other than super highways all wrong. Ie lots of roads here show speeds being 25or 35 mph when they are really 50-55. Then again one country road showed 65 mph in which it was really 55. If I drove a lot on superhighways I would use it. However most of my driving is other than highways. Just my two cents.

I’m waiting to order the AWD non Foundation series Cybertruck as an option on my Tesla account. Do you guys think the Foundation series with all the add ons is worth buying?

Autopilot is useful both on highways and city streets.

The NAG IS an issue on autopilot. Sometime you almost have to take the car to the next lane for it to detect it. Is not only annoying , but dangerous.

With the model 3 you’re kind of crazy to buy the long range. Out of Spec says the charging is faster on the performance because of the battery. On a road trip you’re better off to lose 40 miles of range, but charge faster. I would bet swapping wheels and tires might get you that range back if it really matters. Oh and it’s cheaper if you qualify for the tax credit
