I'm so sorry your 1st little girl died. I lost a baby last year and so I feel for you deeply and can appreciate just how difficult it was to make this video. I'm so glad you were blessed with a 2nd child too. In my experience, even though it never erases the loss of your older baby, it is like a balm for a painful wound and helps to heal. I cuddled my 3 month old watching your video and trying not to cry along with you while you told your story. Thank you for telling it - it reminds me of my loss but also to cherish my own girls even when the baby wakes up 5x in the night.

Welcome back, Micaela! I always look forward to your videos, you should check in more often. I've been considering a trip to Tokyo with the weak yen, but I still can't consider moving there, the work culture being what it is. Everyone tells me if you teach in Japan, they will grind you down to a nub.
I’d have to agree with that. Japan is wonderful to visit on vacation but living here permanently requires a lot more determination! We are pretty happy now, but it has taken years to reach a level of comfort and security that feels good. It’s definitely not easy!

When I'm choosing a hotel, it's always based on the height of the hotel, and proximity to the best interchanging transport routes (as you mentioned). It's good to see you still going strong, i think i randomly subbed about ten years ago after being in Japan for a week and having the holiday blues, and i have fond memories of my more innocent worldview back then, even though steeped in delusion
Yes! For me, when I book a hotel it’s always - Good Location (must) - Size of the room (must) + Quality of the food IF we plan to eat in 😂 I hope you can make your way back and visit again someday! I think you find a lot has changed in ten years!
