When he says "rare" language" he is NOT kidding. Albania is a country with less than 3M people which means there isn't a very large diaspora of Albanians all over the world. The impressed reactions are very much justified from these people - because in the generations that came after the first, the language slowly disappears. By the third generation, the mother tongue is usually gone and English becomes predominant.
