3:56 - "People don't look in some places, and there is treasure there" what a beautiful thing to say
It's incredible how, once you break the language barrier, you realize how similar we all are. Sure, customs and cultures can vary wildly but we all still laugh, love, dance, sing, eat, tell stories, create, etc. Despite it all, humanity is so cool.

Exactly, I've always said this. Get past the superficial differences and we really are the same. We're human. We want to love, laugh, tell stories, go on adventures, enjoy a cold drink on a hot day, spend time with our families, raise our children. It really saddens me all the hate, racism, xenophobia and bigotry that still exists and seems to be growing in the Western world. All people are beautiful!

They loved him though. They didnt know that a white guy from America could be into their culture and wanting to try and learn rheor language. These days it's quite normal for a white guy to know a few languages. Specially if you're from germany or Scandinavia you're not that special if you're goid in 3-6 language. When i was a teen eveybody that liked languages spoke Danish, English, German, French and maybe even Swedish depending on where yiu grew up. If you was from Copenhagen and anything within 1 hour drive you spoke swedish quite well. If you was from around south jylland/jutland you spoke german and watched german tv more than any other channel as they had the best tv in the 70's and 80s. But that's disappearing now. No one i know can speak german like we could as teens. And same with Swedish and even English. All kids sounds American when speaking English because if the Internet. That wasn't allowed when i was a teen. The US pronunciation was seen as wrong. So if you had an exam and you didnt sound like you was doing BBC English or Harry Potter if that helps... You had failed.. You had to say FAST like a brit so FARST. If you said Fast like an American would say Fast and Furious you would fail at the exam. Or Aunt couldn't sound like my ANT. It was very strict. Our lessons came with books with tapes. Later CD's. And it all sounded like it was done by Steven Fry. I feel sad that that has gone from danish schools. But yeah the normal languages that we learn has become the expected but also not as food as 30 years ago. But Ari goe sout and learns languages from the human beings like Navaho or Apache or Pawnee or whatever... Then he picks up some rare Tribal language from deep in the amazon, you dont get people doing that. A lot of languages is on the way to become dead languages. And then you have a guy like Ari whos doing his best to keep them alive.. And by doing so you not only remember the language, but you remember the people, and theres honour in that.. These people know what hes doing.. Hes trying to say... I wont forget you, i know you were here in my time.. To me thats big dick action right there. And i comend him for that. 😎 When all these clicking languages and strange tribal dialects and whatnot are gone.. Thats it. They aint coming back. Gone , lost, over and done with. So guys like Ari is needed. It doesnt matter if you do it for youtube or to impress someone or whatever. Just that you do it... You made an effort.. 😊
Speak, eat, travel, learn. Ari your ability to learn languages is matched by your empathy and respect for cultures...whether in the home country or with the diaspora in the US. The warmth and respect you receive, and the genuine surprise at your language learning is fantastic to see.

Moses would be proud. I teared up when you made that tribute for him after he passed. I don't usually get sad at those type of things, but Moses' untimely death got to me. I loved watching all his videos because when he spoke in someone's native language, their entire demeanor changed and their personality shined through. You capture the same things in your videos and I love them because of it. Keep it up bro, and thank you for carrying on Moses' torch. The light is bright and warm and direly needed on my feed.

The first gentleman with the black shirt recording you had the biggest smile ever, it was adorable. So happy to see love spread around the world like this
Witnessing the joy that speaking someone's native tongue brings is just priceless!! Seeing that pride these people have in their heritage, and Xiaoma showing them that reverence and demonstrating that he took the time to learn, it's absolutely beautiful... it makes me more emotional than I'd like to admit. ❤❤❤

Xiaoma your skills are truly remarkable
Speaking Ojibwe must have made the elders of the "first nation" proud. I traveled to China for many years and when I was staying there , and was "immersed" in Mandarin it was fun. But I also found the many of the young people speak English.
watching people's reactions to someone else speaking their language brings me so much. joy. This will help others around the world be educated on how different every culture is how thankful they will be when others learn their language
What gets me is that everyone is expected to speak English but because it's so unexpected to be the other way round they're always surprised. It's beautiful & wonderful but I am always thinking of this.
Your content is really amazing, bro. I've lived in Hong Kong for 26 years and still have difficulty with the language. The people appreciate your efforts to communicate in their language very much and it shows with each group you speak with. Really a fine effort on your part.
This is amazing, your channel has given me a new respect for anyone that speaks English very well as a second or even later languange
your ability to learn all these languages and be genuinely interested in all these different cultures is incredible🙏
Yo Xiaoama! Heard you were in my community today in Onion Lake. Hope you enjoyed your visit and meeting our people, and thank you for learning our language❤️
Love this every time! Keep it up, Ari. The world needs this.
The energy exchange shared is really special. If only, we could all be half as respectful and thoughtful about our relationships to our fellow people and cultures. Once you realize it, you can be treated to how brilliant and unique all our world cultures truly are. I crave a world with no language barrier and more of this innocent friendly attitude. Thank you for sharing
3 hrs 😮 omg yes!!! Thank you!!! It’s now 12:18 pm I just finished work for the day so this perfect timing 🎉
You are my reason for learning to love learning language. I was always a culture junkie and love learning about culture and food. I never realized just how much language ties into it. Like of course language is important, but it unlocks so much more understanding of the culture as well.
So inspiring! Makes me want to dig in and learn as many as I can :) ❤ thank you for being a great ambassador for US!
Fantastico Chico!
Love love love all the positivity you spread n hope you continue this for as long as possible! So inspiring Ari 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Watching this video was so inspiring. I smiled all the way through my viewing. You spread joy everywhere you go. Blessings.❤
What I love most is how people light up when you speak their language. You have such a gift!
You did a good job doing a full documentary man, i love everything you do, you are a very inspiring person
I've watched your videos for a couple years now and I've come to the realization that you are genuinely a good soul. I can't see you having a mean bone in your body. Maybe you do, maybe you don't but for someone who respects other people's languages and cultures as much as I see you doing it just makes me respect you as a human even more. I smile when I watch your videos, sometimes I cry tears of joy because you bridge nationalities together when you speak their native tongue. They light up when they hear you speak their language, even if you tell them you are still learning. They respect that and I respect you for taking the time to do so. You are amazing and I will continue to watch and smile. 🙂
Brilliant! Thanks for this video, it's proper entertainment. Keep up the good work.
I love how much people embrace you wanting to learn about their language and culture, it's such a unique way of connecting with people ❤
Thank you so much for learning indigenous languages. Im a young person who is not indigenous in the US and I want to help revitalize the languages too ! Im Michigander and I would love to learn Ojibwe !
Great video,, loved every minute,, especially the end, Thank You! 🙏🏻
Love this! You my friend I don't know you but it's a wonderful thing you do bye getting to know the people from different countries, especially bye speaking their language, I enjoy this video very much.👍
I love it when people hear that you speak their language. If I had one superpower I would want to be able to speak, read, and write all languages on this planet. Language is not just words and phrases but culture as well.
i truley believe my grandfather would be so proud of you for learning all these different languages, dialects ect. its not something a regular person does. and throught out the world, the biggest recognition to the person you are communicating in is being able to speak their language. that alone gives so much appreciation and respect to those who learn those languages. i wish the people of the world could be such a great a man as you have become. My biggest prayers and everything so you live long, and happy. you deserve all of it. its inspiring to watch your videos. its made alot of people across this world want to learn, or DO learn another language. don't stop. this is a great thing to show. your a huge celebrity even if you dont have that glamor and all to show,.. the world sees the glamor in your words and your speech. and thts the most important thing in the world to MOST of the world. Very humble person, i only hope i could be as humble and friendly as you have been. I hope you get everything you want in life good Sir.
Ari your videos bring tears to my eyes. I love seeing joy (and sometime relief!) in these people's eyes when you speak their native languages. It should be baseline that everyone knows at least 2 languages. I love how you connect with other cultures. Its beautiful and I love learning from you 💜

You inspired my 12 year old son. He has been learning 5 new languages daily. Thank you for being you and showing us all that anything is possible if you put your mind to it. One day my son will travel the world and it will be very beneficial and beautiful to communicate with people of different cultures.
wow, the norweigan challenge impressed me! Im swedish myself, and the languages are very similar. Been watching Xiaoma's content for a while, and really didntt expect to hear him nearly speak my native tounge. Beautiful! ❤
Discovered this channel about 3 days ago. You talk about binge watching! Amazing content.
Amazing. So fun watch the reactions to not only the ability, but the adherence to proper inflection and dialect recognized by the natives of these complicated languages!! I actually watched this entire video.
I've been seeing your videos for a long time right now. I love learning new languages, and this reaction you get from people, the doors it opens, it really motivates me . I just wanted to ask you, can you still speak those languages after some time, or do you just learn enough to talk to people? Cause I feel that keeping all that information and not mixing it up is almost impossible. Keep up with the amazing work!
I really love this compilation Xiaoma. My favourite reaction was "do you work for the FBI". lol 😅
Loved every minute of this 3+ hour documentary. You made me want to learn Basque.
Just stumbled across this. This is great, awesome to see the reaction.... Went to France once, and if you tried to speak it, they were not impressed, and they let you know. These people are just beautiful.
I'm always so intimidated to meet people in even English. I've spoken French for 30 years but still don't know if I could hold a conversation. How cool that you can just pick up a language to wherever you choose. I'm not overlooking how hard it must be, it's SERIOUSLY impressive but it must make for some very interesting trips and meeting a lot of great people.

This is a full blown documentary. Love it.
My three favourite memories from your videos over the years has to be, Firstly the guy in the Nigerian clothes store at the beginning of this video, “you make me so proud!” Second has to be the Somali guy who thought you were FBI, loved that guy 😅 And my most favourite, when you gave you local Chinese takeaway the huge tip during covid ❤
If we all could speak the same we’d all be more loving I swear cuz this is so wholesome 😅😭😭😭

Welcome. We all go on many adventures around the world as you can see😂 I’d suggest to stay clear of liquids while watching him because you might laugh to much by the reactions😂
I love the joy you bring to people.
the act of talking someone else's native language is amazing. but i've realized from these videos that just talking to people is amazing as well. i have a hard time talking just in english, but when you get passed being scared about talking, people are receptive of it. it's all about trying to understand another. it's so awesome. the skill doesn't matter as much as the amount an individual tries to converse.
I'm Swedish and I could understand your Norwegian without the subtitles. I've got to say that I was really impressed how well you spoke and understood it in only 2 weeks! Only wished that I could learn mandarin as good as you have. Big up Xiaoma! 👏👏👏
I can't stop smiling during his video's. New subscriber over here!
Love the video!
I can feel the social walls and even more so, when that first smile appears, everyone’s expression and mannerisms totally change. Keep doing what you love…it creates a moment of intimacy. I joined a band to meet women when I should have studied languages😂👍🏻👍🏻ps your masai robe looks like Harry Potter cloak😂
Terrific compilation! I'd love it if you went to Malta and/or learned the Maltese language. My grandfather was born in Valletta and was always trying to teach it to me, but even though we moved over to Rome, then Malta in the early 1970's and I turned 5 while we were there, so they enrolled me in school there, I was 4-6yo, to young to remember it. It's a very convoluted language with the amount of times the island was taken over. It literally has 15 different dialects 😬. So if you were to ever tackle THAT language, enjoy diving in and let us know how it goes 😊. I know full well that you could do it.
I wish I could do this, much respect. Language really is the key to the world.
I liked that one time when you were speaking fluent Chinese in a Chinese restaurant, and all of the real Chinese people who were there became real surprised! 👌🏻 😊
I love how happy folk are that you’ve took time to learn their language
I hope content like this really helps people understand that we can be proud of ourselves and our culture but still realize we're all human.
I get fascinated by how easily ur mouth and brain pick up all the different languages so wonderful what an awesome gift u have . You r so smart, very impressive.

These type of videos make me have hope for the world love it 🔥🔥💯
The whole video is really interesting. How individual cultures opened up when people spoke their language. And I can't even really remember two foreign languages. Top
I love Xiaoma! I always wondered if he was going to learn tribal languages and cultures. Once he did. I fell in love instantly. I love being from a tribe and learning about fellow tribes. It's heart warming and inspiring. Shout out from the Plains Cree and Ojibwe Tribes!
This is such a beautiful thing the world needs very badly when we have been divided so much. god bless you
It's so cool to see how all the people with various nationalities are so excited or in a way grateful for trying to speak their native language instead of being too defensive about their whole culture. 🤘
If you need help; I'll be there for you... i watch you all the time and proud of you. keep going. You are an inspirational brother.
