Thanks for a good video. However, "the deeper you deploy it..." towards the end isn't correct due to Boyle's law. You might even "waste" more air if a certain volume is required to offset negative buoyancy of the dsmb and the air/nitrox "overexpands" on the way up. However, who cares about a bar or two with five shallow minutes left.

Comeon the xtx50 stage 3 is enough for 100% of apllicwtion...xtx 200 with fsr and xtx 50 octopus hahahahahha this is like takkng a rolls royce for a supermarket stop

Xtx 50 best reg ever. If u wanna look fancier get xtx 100 200 ting bla bla qll fancy but no different .the difference is really decoration elements and the 1 st stages are different....but the dst is already a phenomenal 1st stage for harshegubi env....why get fsr no reason apart from feeling richer hshshs. My tec set is also a dst xtx50 sidemount....what a fkn oleasure to dive in this....if u love scubapro no harm haha they have g 260 versions i believe for tec and same performance as xtx50. If u have more money a lo t mkre. A VERSION IS CARBON and eorbitantly priced which mkes apeks always the real winner. Also worldwide presence from aqualung is a key factoe for servicing your gear in any ckuntry while nit ruining ur preciously planned dive vacation....

Hi Mark. Have you ever changed out an inflator hose on a Scubapro BCD? Do you also just turn it counterclockwise to remove it from the BCD. Thanks.

question, how to stable the tank strap on it? since it has 1 square holes, instead of 2 slide where you can in and out your strap to stable it?

And then there are real men, who take responsibility for themselves. Or, in your case whiny little dorks. You're lucky there are no grooming regulators to fix your appalling schlubby appearance. You need a course, a cert and a permit for shopping & grooming - a SAG. Get your SAG and then talk to us about limiting other's abilities to enjoy diving. How hard is it to look at a N off-gassing chart?!

Interesting, I was always told the 2 purposes of the snorkel are to conserve air (like you said) but also in the event you run out of air (freeflow, whatever) and on surface in waves you have a snorkel if it helps. Maybe irrelevant in a lake (huge waves at Wraysbury 😂) - do you think that diving in the sea means taking a snorkel, ir do you think this reason gets over-sold?

Interestingly enough, while it seems like rescue diver in the US is just another advance in your diving hobby, european rescue diving is more about the profession and the actual rescue diving, is also much longer and more intensive

Two points first point , I both agree with regular professional servicing and disagree other diving industries being woke about the use of hookah systems ( as long as they cannot go below 10 m ( 30 ft ) . Anyone in their right mind would not use these without a form of scuba training , snorkel divers holding breath and going to depths of 20m or more is far more dangerous IMHO. MY SECOND POINT IS , A lot of Qualified Divers of a certain age , would benefit from a shallow water scuba system when going abroad into warm climates with clear water with a system that they can carry on a plane as hand luggage ( super huka comes to mind ) rather than don the usual weighty equipment , not easy for some 65+ year old divers who still like to dabble . For the experienced just sell the systems on proof of qualifications .

I'm looking at this one vs Cressi Pro Long HD Signaling Buoy - the mesh pocket and 180cm are both missing in Cressi but the inflation valve is metal on the latter so it's a hard choice - extra functionality over possible extended durability/longevity.

4 years ago me “I’ll never dive a rebreather too expensive and I don’t need to go deep” here I am now owning an rd1 ccr and I love it more than open circuit diving and I feel safer on my breather than I do open circuit he redundant back up is so much making getting home a non issue

Wild 4 years ago I was a freshly minted open water diver watching this thinking dang it would be cool to have a set of doubles…now here I am to say screw diving doubles just buy a breather if you gonna strap over 100lbs on your back it better be able to give you multiple hours of diving otherwise not worth the faf and hassle

If night diving from shore entry you’ll probably need marker lights at exit point. The shore gets to be one dark mass at night.
