Mares gear is pretty cool looking. I've never owned any Mares kit, but dang, it looks amazing!!!!! That regulator and BPW setup is sweet looking.

I just received the wing XR Trim wing system for my rec diving, including weight pockets. Tried it in the pool, it’s amazing and light, good for travel. Also the comfort harness is really comfortable. The Y crotch strap is more comfy than the normal one. Strongly recommend!

Niw that you have had yours bp&w rec for a year, do you wish you had gotten the mares bp&w silver ? Now yours cost $ 780 and the silver cost $ 950 here in the mid west

What is the main difference between the mares bp&w rec trim and the mares bp&w silver ?

I actually saw the Mares set up and almost picked one up for the wife. You can't go wrong with this. but convinced her to follow my lead. But, this would be a good choice for anyone.. new or veteran diver. I wish all tek manufacturer makes the the double crotch strap standard. Really versital and not an option as an extra to pay for. Oh quick comment on the lights.. those are freaking huge. that can by itself destroy a reef system.. LOL

Hello, I’m looking to buy some thick sole boots but I have an issue because of my thick ankles I currently have the Mares soft soles and the neoprene is 2-3 ml and stretchy so they fit (barely). I was looking at the Mares DS Flexa and Mares Seal Skin but ’m afraid they are too narrow on the ankle and the neoprene is not so stretchy. Do you have any advice? Thanks a lot, Ana
