While not entirely relevant specifically to this video….the amount of knowledge I have gained from watching Marks videos is amazing. His thorough, honest and in-turn unbiased educational advice has been invaluable. I have learnt considerable amounts, holistically from Marks videos and cannot commend both him and the channel enough. Thank you Mark and SimplyScuba/Scubadiver Mag

The "octopus", and it being yellow, is a traditional PADI, SSI, etc. feature. Many other agencies (especially those geared towards divers that want to go into cave/tech diving) use the DIR setup (long hose primary donate). While I've always found this channel entertaining and educational, you are very much PADI-style centered (octopus, wetsuit, single tank), and I've felt a little left out.

I actually use a yellow long hose with sidemount, not only because other divers might recognise it more easily as the one to take but also as a further reminder to me as to which one I'm breathing from.

Yep Yep i use the long hose donate .. need my space. plus its' more practical I run a redundant tank with an ocean reef air block along with a FFM so I get a few looks. Its a big discussion on why and a good way to promote non standard gear..
