Thank you! Very useful video! I'd like to visit Charleston soon, and I will definitely use your advice.
I’m married to a New Yorker and he used to make fun of me since I’m not born in the states (all for fun) then we moved to Texas and he jokes about it in a restaurant and the lady said to my husband you are just as an alien a implant 😂😂
❤
The part about "The People," I think you've just described the difference between real-world vs. the internet. Reddit, Facebook, KZread comments, and any social media/internet platform seems to lock-in and bring out the absolute worst in people. I think it must be, because most people who have a descent and fulfilling life don't take or have the time to read and respond to people online. Only people who are prone to negative emotion tend to spend more time and energy online (due to lack of a real-world life). In other words, if you have 10 human interactions in the real-world, only 1 of the 10 will be negative. But if you have 10 human interactions online, I imagine 4-5 will be negative. And since we all tend to focus on and be more affected by negative interactions... yeah... just try to remember that the internet isn't a real place. Love your videos!!!
Northerners in general bro
I went on my honeymoon in Charleston and wouldn't change a damn thing, loved it, maybe if that big a change for ya, stay there
As a native, I definitely know why some natives are so hostile towards those who move here from the northeast and west coast. For starters, this is by no means everyone from these regions, but enough that it made a lot of natives very resentful. Many moved here from those regions in the 80's/90's and tried to change the political climate here. They didn't even try to acclimate or respect our culture. Many would openly make very disparaging remarks, stupid and untrue stereotypes that they had seen in tv shows and movies their whole lives about the South, and act as if we are all Jethro Bodine on the Beverly Hillbillies. I even had someone about 5-10 years ago from NYC (which is VERY different from the rest of NY state) say outsiders needed to move here to help, and I quote, "civilize us" and "change our racist ways". Then they would whine that natives hated newcomers. Totally messed up. I'll just say the guy got an earful from me, lol. These days, newcomers from other regions seem to be much more respectful of us and don't come here to try to change us. That will get a much better reaction, I promise you. Now, this is just the reason why this happens, I'm by no means justifying anyone who labeled everyone not from here as someone bad. That isn't fair. My explanation is just to give context. As a Southerner who worked for Barclays Bank when they relocated to Charlotte from NYC in the late 80's and heard firsthand the remarks and attitudes from NYers (1/3 relocated from NYC, the other 2/3 of us were locals) and also hearing the lousy remarks some Southerners unfairly labeled newbies without getting to know them first, there was plenty of blame to on both sides. Those who call you guys "yankees" or other disparaging words are jerks. Today, if anyone moves here who will respect our southern culture, acclimate to the area without trying to "change" us, and not bring the failed voting habits that screwed up where they're fleeing from with them, they will be accepted by nearly everyone. Great video. Thanks for posting.
Same thing around ft Bragg, they get out of the army and STAY,well let me tell you how we did it up north,no thanks y'all already screwed that up,I'm good
Oh, hell no! I left that area at 10 and never to return.
Traffic isn’t bad. It’s busy but it’s well designed and moves.
Great videos. Hoping to relocate to Summerville area later this year
Fantastic! Can’t wait to help you make your move!
@@LivinginCharlestonSC1 will definitely be in touch
@@loricrudden2956 Absolutely! I'll be happy to help. 843-226-5535 or [email protected]
Great informative video. My 22 year old daughter is relocating to Charleston next month. She took a job in Summerville, but wants to rent in a place full of young single people. Also loves the beach. James islands good choice? She willing to drive 30 minutes to work. Any other ideas? We are going next week to look at apartments (from FL) thanks so much
❤
Charleston looks stunning. Love the video.
Thank you!!!!
We like the model home that you show in the beginning of this video. Are there any more available with the same floor plan?
Yes that’s Twin Lakes! I can connect us with a salesperson. Otherwise most of the base info is on their website. g.co/kgs/xnnaF4t
Nice video Ryan I love the honest opinion. That’s why I used your services and follow your channel. We looked at a few Lennar communities and the inability to put your own touch on your own home turned us off. We wanted the semi- customizable route with Pulte. No it’s not perfect but it fit us perfect! Thanks again!😊
Great to hear! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for telling the truth. I would NEVER buy a Lennar or DR Horton home. No way Hoe Zay!!!
❤
Couldn't find a decent Italian restaurant there and ive been to Greenville, Greenwood, Myrtle Beach, Beaufort, Charleston, Abbeville
You didn't check out Grimaldis, Laura's, LPC or Kings Italian Express. You missed some great places
SC - I-95, built in the 1950s and it's still the same.
Ryan I want more info
Great! I can email you some information. Shoot me an email [email protected]. Thank you,
Not you lighting up a joint in the studio, lmaooo! This is a great video.
Glad you enjoyed! lol... I made sure I got that disclaimer in. lol
I agree with everything's except the horse carriages because that's cruelty and I will never participate in that.
If you have a bent for Communist/Liberal policies. Please stay out of SC. Thanks in advance.
amen
Thanks!
We had a family reunion in Charleston over 10 years ago, and Charleston was absolutely beautiful and a phenomenal experience for the whole family! ☆☆☆☆☆ 💯
If you rely on transit, SC probably isn't for you, either.
Good point!
❤
I heard there's an island in S. Carolina that provides free room and board. I think it's called Parris Island?
😂Hilarious!
I heard the tours guides there are pretty nice too 🤣
What about concrete? If I can get work. I’m there
Living in Johnson city TN and the mountains make for great weather and the people can drive here long springs and falls
There is never not anything to do. About sums it up
I knew you were from Western New York as soon as I heard that hard A we are moving down south next year. Can't wait
Don’t forget to reach out to me when the time is right! What part of WNY are y’all from? We lived in Buffalo and Hamburg
When I was 10, I did the whole east coast of the US, from Canada to key west. My favorite place was Myrtle Beach, SC. I would love to go back one day.
Myrtle Beach…the ghetto beach town of SC. It is not what it once was. There are so many Russian, Czech people there now and no one knows where they came from, not all are friendly unfortunately.
I want to move there already...
I really enjoy your videos! My wife talks DAILY about wanting to move to Charleston. You'll definitely be the guy if/when we make a move.
Thank you Chad! I look forward to helping you both!
Great area! Be sure to research this builder.
The thumbnail and title both stated houses starting in the 200s, but the video only mentions 300k to 400k. Either there's a typo or this feels like a bait and switch.
Typo!!! Fixing now! Thank you!
Any of these homes shown in St. John’s Islands have community pool and fitness center etc.
You speak of SC being red love God, and is conservative like you’re making an excuse, 2°, however coming from California. I can’t wait to experience that because it is absolutely nauseating out here. God, country and guns! !
😂Ryan this video is hilarious
Thank you! I wanted to spice it up a little bit. lol the soft white underbelly to Charleston lol
🍍😉
I've never understood the attraction of putting a toxic substance in ones body that creates oxygen deprivation to the brain in order to "relax", lol. But that's just me.
Understandable!
According to HHS Cannabis has Medical value and is a better option then alcohol and cigarettes. Plus I've never seen a fight at a MJ Bar✌️
Stay out we don't like you Yankees find somewhere else to move to we know how to make things disappear. Catch my drift so take care Bless your heart and that's Nora compliment. F what he is telling you cause when he gets your money you don't matter. And yes we are a rite to carry state and yes we locals do pack heat .
@ 0:02 ... where in Charleston is this Ferris Wheel?
This at Isle of Palms beach. 🏝️
Charleston, Beaufort,Hilton head, and Savanah are all beautiful
Living in Charleston SC [The Original!], I loved this video so much, I had to hit the like button!
Thanks!!!
I'm going to guess that you are a Capricorn.
Aquarius actually.
I am a Relocation Specialist and Statistical Analyst here in the Charlotte area who helps people relocated to metro areas and small town/rural areas in NC/SC. I am glad you pointed out the political climate. Literally 99% of the folks I have helped and am helping are dying to get out of blue states like CA, NY, NJ, IL, and MA. Their reasons are cost of living, rampant crime, open drug use, out of control homelessness, and government overreach. All of those negative aspects are influenced by blue politics. It's a statistical fact. So, even though a few might get in a hissy over what you're saying, they're the ones I wouldn't want in NC/SC, who are not here to respect the traditions/culture that has created our great quality of life, but would bring their bad voting habits with them that helped ruin the very areas they're fleeing. Incredible video and God bless, brother.
This is just a blatant LIE!! 99% of everything you explained happens in RED STATES !! Educate yourself next time
Being from New England I love your snow storm analogies! Great job Ryan!
Glad you like them!
You are definetely the mayor of awesome Living my friend! Great job I love how you interject your personality and fun with your videos!
I GREATLY APPRECIATE THE KIND WORDS!!!!!! Thank you!
