Personally, I had the same critiques of Gwen and Art are not in Love that you had for the author’s other book 😬 It’s marketed as being all Arthurian based but that plays next to no part in the story and it’s so long for nothing to happen in it 😅

My worst book was Treble Maker by Annabeth Albert bc it had so so many gross stereotypes and toxic behaviors. I am a huge Annabeth Albert fan and have read nearly every single one of her books so this was exceptionally disappointing because I have a really good track record with her other books and expected this same with this one. My best is really hard to choose. I think The Breakaway Series by E.L. Massey and Kingdom of Sweets by Erika Johansen might be tied. I was predestined to love the breakaway series because it has literally every single thing I love but The Kingdom of Sweets came out of nowhere and I was enthralled immediately. It led to me to finding every nutcracker retelling possible

Axie Oh wrote XOXO which is a ya kpop romance and it read very young to me. I think it would be one of those romances you dislike bc the ending is melodramatic and hinges of major ridiculous miscommunication
