I have never read anything by Juno Dawson before, but whenever I see you talk about her books they sound so interesting. Reading something by this author is one of my main goals this year

Aaah that is amazing! 🥰 my absolute fave by her is Meat Market but Clean takes a solid 2nd place (fighting for 1st though)

@@SabinesBookNook I think I should try Scythe (I tried the audiobook a few years ago) and Beach Read :)

I LOVED the scythe trilogy too! Did you know they have another book set in the same world called gleanings. I've not read it yet but I can't wait .

I've read the first book of the Scythe trilogy too and I loved it! The way you talk about loving the first book but not the next two as much reminds me of my experience with the Nevernight trilogy (aka the Nevernight Chronicle). I absolutely LOVED the first book - I remember being intensely excited to continue the series because I just thought it was so great. The next two books let me down a bit though. They weren't bad, but I just wasn't a huge fan of certain aspects of the story's direction. I still think the first book was pretty much perfect and still worthy of the read, but I wish the rest of the series had consumed me the same way!

That edition of the inheritance games is gorgeous! 😍 And I agree about Emily Henry- she made me like rimance when I thought I dislike the genre... Although "People we meet on vacation" (that's the title on mine) was my least favourite... 😉
