To answer your question about ADHD medications Drew, that is NOT in fact how it works all the time. Doing speed as an undiagnosed ADHD person doesn't inherently "just make you feel normal." I absolutely believe people whose experience is reflected by that popular misconception, and I'm genuinely so happy they mistakenly stumbled into improving their quality of life. MY experience with meds like adderall is that it takes awhile to get adjusted to, especially if you don't consume a lot of stimulants like caffeine on the regular. Early on I would have whole days where I had a resting heart rate of 140 and an overwhelming, inescapable sense of dread. Shit fuckin sucked. Anxiety meds and the passage of time eventually fixed it, thank god

I've never done anything, not even alcohol. Watching this made me sure of that decision. All the reasons you gave for being prone to addiction are reasons I have in me. Especially the fear of having too much control..that shook me.

YESSSSS THANK YOUUUU!!! NOPE is the best alien movie I've ever seen, and also just top 10 movie I've seen. I don't even think I really understood it fully, but I loved what it made me feel and just the execution and acting and effects and everything. I feel like people should've talked about this movie more. I really feel like it was saying some really good stuff even though I don't really know what that stuff was, but to me it felt like you know when you read a poem that really touches you in your soul but you don't fully understand what it was saying, but you know it was something good, like something really deep, that's what NOPE does for me. Like I feel like I learned something from that movie but I don't know what I learned, but i did learn it and I'm grateful for that. Like i learned it in my heart, not necessarily in my head. So thank you for that shout out. Great movie. I made my family watch it. I might watch it again now

idk why but the part about asking your family to bring in your copy of the truman show because you wanted to watch it with everyone only to sneakily slide it on to the shelf, weakly recommend it, and then immediately accept that you won't be watching it with everyone and then leaving the DVD there is the funniest, saddest, sweetest thing I've ever heard.
