I was so surprised when I first saw the responses to the tweet like, it's funny regardless of how you look at it, not enraging. Ig I spend too much time on the normal, calm side of twitter

before i forget and you move onto something entirely different: i’m at 13:15 and i cannot stress enough how real this is and how invested twitter users are in denying it- they get online, say awful things and hurt each other all day, feel angry and miserable after, but still get a tweet off about how social media doesn’t mean anything shdhdhd its SUCH a phenomenon

I've noticed that people in general are very angry. I don't know what going on but I've had several real life run ins with irrationally angry people. It's crazy that so many people responded so angry and rude. Your response was funny! It's fun to play with people lol

this story is exactly why I stopped using twitter, I cannot stand how immediately confrontational people are over the MILDEST takes, not even like a "people are so sensitive these days" way just the endless barrage of arguing and ganging up on people (sometimes ppl deserve it if they're like lauren boebert or something) and seeing a new terrible thing every time you scroll makes me wanna DIEEEEEEE

I saw that tweet on my timeline and I don't even follow you and I was genuinely perplexed by how mad people got at you. Like you're right, so many people are just angry and they need someone to express that to so they go for the internet-designated-bad-person of the day. Truly an inception of frustration

Drew, I feel like you found your niche and you’re so good at what you do without even realizing that it’s a talent bc it comes so naturally. The sweet spot 👌🏼 Some KZread channels come on to rant about the world and are so self absorbed it’s boring. Others do challenges and silly stuff which are entertaining but you’re left feeling like “what’s the point of this?” In a way, you’ve figured out how to blend the two in a way that’s relatable, insightful, challenges the viewer to think about their own relationship with the world/social media/internet/each other, while still being funny as hell. I think being in the spotlight on the internet since you were very young gives you a very special perspective and hearing you put your experience and analysis of it all into words helps me (and others) process it too, in a way that feels a little less intimidating and scary because we have a “friend” (you) to do it with. All this to say, thank you for being you on the internet even when it’s hard. We’re glad you’re here 💜
