We are Tim & Katie from BC, Canada!
In July, 2020 we bought our first Ford Transit cargo van and spent 9 months converting it into the van of our dreams. Now we do the same for others. Follow along as we take you on our travel adventures, as well as share information about how we convert our vans.

Who does this like that ?! 😂 👍
love this build, lots of clever solutions and good thinking - well done!
Hey Tim and Katie! Love your build! Me and my gf have a high top transit like yours and was wondering if you have any schematics for the rear opening. We are trying to finish off the back opening with a wood panel that overhangs about a 1/2” from the vans perimeter metal frame opening. The vinyl we used just isn’t giving us the right look by itself 👀 thanks either way! 🤘🏼😊✌🏼
Love this, so well thought out and the finishing and fitment looks amazing! Whenever I get my build going, I want you guys to build it!
Very nice build
the only problem with shower in a van, is the lost space. ive only seen that solved once, with a closet on slides(pull the closet out to shower) but they had put it kinda in front of the side door, which took away the open feeling. Pls hmu if anyone ever finds a solution to this
HOW much ws that van going for !!!!
Nice video, could you answer a couple of questions please? Temperature sensor wiring has red and blue leads, which goes to 1 and which goes to 2? Also where precisely and how precisely did you install temp sensor? Thanks
What kind ov shock absorber did u guys use?
amazing time-lapse .Loved watching it.
This couple is the American Dream
fun video but the clappng music stinks and is so annoying when trying to enjoy your vid, I lved in Nelson nce area all around BC
Where are you located?
And it's the best video I've seen on the subject yet. Thanks for sharing!! Being filtered only with suds, I suppose one could just use that air heater combo just for washing and only the fresh water to fill the kettle or whatever. It's simple and genius! I wonder if a plumber knows a better valve for the drainage similar to a stop cock thing in a toilet: it's open only while there's water above it :o this is so reassuring!! Please share your shower gpm or most those heaters use? I'm looking at a rainfall shower at 3gpm :o It looks like there's more to it still, that valve box thing has a few things I don't remember mentioned. Kinda overwhelming but not your fault you did great! I'm gonna add it to my playlist :D why did someone need to invent the complications of plumbing :p Thanks!
to fast 4 me make a slow motion thing
Awesome work! I would REALLY love to know the model number for the hatch (or the exact name). Having a hard time finding it. Thanks for the help guys!
This video is way too fast
👍💯
太厉害了~~~来自中国的祝福。
Looks awesome… but curious where the baby will sleep?
Thanks for sharing, We want to remove the mirror in our 2021 Transit based Motorhome which was pointless having!
Tim and Katie ... EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT ... thank you for such a good and thorough installation/review. Currently I have a roof mounted a/c, when it no longer works, I'll switch to an undermount unit which will provide more solar panel roof space. Never have enough solar panels, for sure.
Thank you, James. We’re happy to hear you found it helpful!
Felicidades para este artesano de la caperizacion
Amazing ❤
So neat and clean ❤ i wish i had one like this ❤
애를 안고 단열 울 작업을 해도 됨??
Clean build! I've worked on luxury yachts and your electrical looks just as good honestly.
Thank you! That means a lot
that starlink idea is AMAZING i was so shocked at that design! thats awesome! cool build guys!!!
What the fk man, instead of ordering a normal in shelf-ac for 1.5k Topps.
Crazy amount of effort. I'd love a more detailed tour and test of function.
This guy has to be a Master Carpenter. 95% of people could not do this conversion to the quality he has the ability to perform. AND mucho respect for Mom with her baby on her back whiel still contributing tons to this build.
thanks for the video, why so many solar panels?
非常喜欢看 DIY 的视频,看着一点点的变化很有感触;我自己也会做一些,不过主要是皮卡上面的。
Start traveling.. we are waiting
i picked up a 11" double din for my 2021 Ford Transit 350
Fantastic job all around. This build should be good for thousands of miles of great adventures. Happy trails and rock on!
$3500 bucks... no thanks.
I don't understand why someone would go to all the trouble to install an AC unit, when you have a dash AC that came with your vehicle. My Sprinter van is powered by a diesel engine and we just let it idle at night so we can run the dash AC. It burns about 1.2 gallons of fuel during an 8 hour period. We also use it to keep our house batteries charged if the sun is not shining to let the solar panels do their job. Our sprinter van came with a 200 AMP alternator that recharges our house batteries fairly quickly. I would imagine if this couple had to drop $4000 on this AC unit, we wouldn't being seeing this review......
Do that around other campers and you’re going to wake up with 4 flat tires. 😂
The ford isn’t diesel. These are about $1000, not 4. Running your engine at night alone in the outback is fine but not really around other people.
I have a 2016 low-roof NCV3 4x4 Sprinter that was originally a cargo van with a partition. I also live in Texas, where summers are routinely 100*+. I'll be installing a split unit auxillary AC because the dash system simply doesn't cut it, rear of the cabin is an oven once Spring turns to Sunmer. I picked up the Undermount AC late last year, and will be installing it within the next month or so.
Great van guys! Can you tell me the overall distance from the back of one dining seat to the other please? 😊
Beautiful build!! Way to go, thanks for transparency and sharing. ??= is the opening below for a doggie bed? Love the FORD! 💯
Did you consider getting the heat capable model?
These have a 13.3 EER. 48VDC mini splits are available elsewhere with 19-20 EER for $500-800.
Hi! Our actual calculated EER is 15.07 using actual Testo measurement tools and a test chamber (16,128BTU/h @ 1070W). I suspect whomever you are quoting on the higher EER numbers is not actually providing you with test reports or instrument measurements the way we do on our learn more page. All the best from UndermountAC.
Great video and some real quality work. I did cringe when you used a pliers on the A.C. fittings though. I also NEVER have a positive and a negative battery cable touching. Fine for now but what happens in 10 years of slight movement and vibration. Probably low risk but in a risk matrix you never do low risk if it has catastrophic results.
Hello, you made me dream with your video. Great job, it's a beautifull project. Thanks a lot
Nice install, very expensive. This would be great for highway only travel. For dirt roads or mud, probably not so good. You can mount a 12 volt mini split one one of the rear doors. My mini split only pulls 785 watts on the economy setting. Excellent video, well done 👍
All I can say is WOW!!! Never seen a van design that compares! Do you have an architectural design background? Overall design so clean, efficient, attentive to detail, highly functional and innovative. Really, really well done.
Thank you for this video! I just got this for my transit and am going to be using this video every step the way, huge help
Amazing!😮
Extending the sides is a genius hack
That sounds like a jet ✈️
