Rane one number one for real
Very helpful review! Thank you!
Man this was an awesome comparison! You can tell the difference in the sound. What do you think about the nx750p series 2?
Well now the Herc is compatible with iOS too! 😁💪🏽
build quality of pioneeer is fukin dogshit, rane one is a tank
Your clipping test set up the JBL to fail. You had the bass boost maxed out so of course it would start clipping much earlier. Maybe you need to add a note card to this part of the video because it's a little misleading. The rest of the video is great and has sent me searching to do my own test to compare these two side by side.
The fact that the subwoofer doesn't go over a certain range makes this system great for indoor and small private parties so that the neighbors aren't disturbed. For outdoor events, let's just add an additional subwoofer and it is done.
Couldn’t of said it better myself. Thank you sir 🙏
you should try the ld systems icoa line of speakers they punch well above there weight
Hercules price point is good Rane One is better.
Ps15p speakers is good on yorkville élite e21p subwoofer?
Can you connect 2 or more
Dj nines i got a question 🤔 if you had to make a one time purchase for the long haul would you choose the ddj rev 5 over the Hercules T7? I come from the days of turntables so been there and done that on moving platters, i probably want be buying another controller so which one would you choose?
I have a set of Yorkville EXM 8 speakers and just bought a set of Yorkville YXL 15 P Speakers and a small 6 channel mixer ..........i plug my equipment into the mixer ...then run 2 lines to the inputs on my EXM 8 Speakers on both right and left .... then out of the EXM 8s I run 2 lines to the inputs on my YXL 15Ps on both left and right sides.......set up like this i have full control over the highs and the thundering bass on the on my YXL 15Ps by ajusting the tone and volume on my EXM 8s as well as adjusting tone and volume on my mixer .....WOW WHAT AN AWESOME SOUND ... you sure don't need subs with this set up ... What awesome power I have ....I just did an outside concert with OVER 300 people this afternoon and the music was loud and clear you could feel the bass right in the floor on the outside huge wooden dance floor..........I have been doing music shows for years ....but this is the best sounding medium power set up I ever used in my life...........
That’s amazing!!!! These speakers are so underrated!
Can I used virtual dj 7?
Yes you can! But you need to purchase the licence for it
My band played through two of these last weekend. 4 piece. 2 vocal mics. 1 cajon mic. Violin, guitar and bass. It was an outdoor gig at the Great Glebe Garage Sale in Ottawa. And it rocked. I was utterly shocked by the low end response out of two of these. I can only imagine with the bass bin. Btw..used a battery powered FLOW 8 mixer (which is an exceptional piece of kit)
man, what a stud
😂
RANE ONE all the way.
Yessir!!!!
Why is it that Hercules controller's are always considered entry-level. That's BS. Just because more affordable doesn't mean it's entry-level. Like 90% of the features are the same. The T7 is not the first Hercules controller to have XLR, so I don't know why that surprises you. The average DJ will probably not use the majority of the features on either of them anyway. But thanks for the video though. It was very informative.
So you said that Hercules controllers are always considered entry-level right? I guess I’m not the only one that’s mentioned this then? Don’t get me wrong it’s a great controller but if you already have a Rane one or a Pioneer rev 7 and then you get the Hercules T7? You’ll know exactly what I’m saying. Cheers
Hey.. Really great comparison! What do you think about the Yorkville vs the Roland BA-330?
Other than moving platters how would you compare the poineer rev1 against the t7?
Good question! The build quality on the T7 is better although they are both plastic. The Rev1 is lighter and a little more portable. The Rev1 is also USB powered if that is a plus for you. They both have effects paddles which is a plus. I like the dedicated stems buttons on the T7 the most. I hope that helps.
Need opinion is it worth it column/ array speakers ?
Depending on the crowds and the size of crowds your going to use them for. YES they are definitely worth it!
I’m just going to get one for sampling. Instead of a vinyl record player . That is If I can sample with it for customizing my own samples
I like those controllers with good faders. They are more important than the platters
How would they be with the yxl 15 subs I wonder
How does this compare to the JBL EON ONE MK2?
Very similar when it comes to specs but the yorkville gets more output
Can someone explain to me, I looked at some videos on KZread about opening the new box, some come with time code and others don't, why is that? thanks
Thanks for the video. I own a T7, modded it with the Innofader and vinyls from 12in Skinz. I don't DJ for a living, so this is fine. I use it with Virtual DJ. I'm happy with it. Love the stem buttons for creativity, and the loop knob for roll type adjustment. Cheers
I’m glad you enjoy your T7! Cheers my friend!
Rane one rules
100%
is it waterproof
No it is not waterproof
Great review
Thank you my friend!
I don’t think anyone will take this for a pro controller at $700
My intermediate controller was $100 this is a huge up grade from that! And it did just what I needed so
Lol but I mixed like a pro with T7 with innofader upgrade.... CLOSEST TO 1200s!!! Its an amazing controller...this over rane one or rev7..never used beatmatch...when youre mixing by ear for 27 years ...the only flaw is the controller needs to be pluggged to the laptop for the controller to be active. The rest is great. Stem is amazing with t7. I mixed n blends quick most of my gigs ...the response is flawless...so forget about the entry crap controller...this is the best ..
@@good-or-evil I'm thinking about getting it myself and other than the weight of it is it really that far off from the rane one 🤔 and are you satisfied with the Hercules t7 over the rev5? Please let me know your opinion 🙏🏾
@@ignoranceisnotatrend4669 why rev5 and not rane four? The difference is motorized or NOT ... Id pick motorized platters.. T7 or rane one. Ive never tried rev5 nor rane one tbh. If not moving platters I suggest rane four 4 channels.
@@ignoranceisnotatrend4669 ive been using t7 for 5 months and I made dope mixes.i love it!!! Other djs love to say t7 is entry level....im like hell nawww... I make it sound to a professional level 😅.hercules came a long way.. I watched alot.of.reviews before I purchase this t7. If t7 was 2000$ ..they would say hercules came out with a high end t7 lol all jokes aside. Everything is great it just built cheaper cuz its lighter. So far so good. Get 12inchskinz innofader replacement if u get the t7
Wxm vs everse 8 ?? Which is king
I also wanted to look at the comparison. In the meantime, I will show my amateur video about how Everse 8 is used in practice in urban street performances. I'll ask you a question at the same time ! Maybe someone knows - Which of the 8-inch or 6.5-inch battery-powered speakers can produce sounds in such an urban area near or at a great distance. Like, for example, Everse 8 in the street version? When a backing vocalist with a speaker is both nearby and from afar, his music and voice can be clearly heard at a distance of 200 meters and even further in the fifth minute of this video kzread.info/dash/bejne/q6OtxMatd9W4nZc.html What else could be similar to Everse 8? There is no need for the compact Jbl EON One. I have been using it for 3 years and have already sold it because it is twice as weak in volume as Everse 8. You can hear it clearly here in the short 1.5 minute story kzread.info/dash/bejne/gYGEzbKMpLDNn5c.html The speaker should be loud, compact and lightweight so that the musician can transport it on a special trolley (this is also seen in the video). Will the Bose S1 Pro Plus be enough on such a city street kzread.info/dash/bejne/p36Zu6yHmZPIkps.html Where is another musician playing guitar and singing in Everse 8? Thank you in advance!
What I love about your reviews, is the fact that you take them to the real world usage with each review. I truly appreciate your efforts. I gave a listen at L&M and it sounds really good. So I might go with 2 of these for my Mobile DJ business
I appreciate that! Thank you and good luck on your Dj business
Hilarious your bass sounds was just rubbish.
I am look for a speaker for my rebounding classes. There are normally around 20 people in a class. I need my voice to be clear so clients can hear my instructions but I also need the music to be loud, clear and motivating without sounding noisy. Would you recommend this for my application. My concern is that you said that you were going to stick to your point source speakers (I don't know what this means) so maybe I should be getting point source speakers too.
Point source speakers are the traditional box type speakers that mount on top of speaker stands. The Hk is column array design. One of these polar 12s would definitely work for a 20 person class. Let me know what you end up getting. Thanks for the comment and goodluck!
Nice bro!
Thanks 🔥
I own a Rane One and have had both editions of the Rane 12’s. I ordered a T7 back in January and I couldn’t get rid of that thing quick enough. The T7 is a joke of a controller, might be perfect for a beginner DJ. What he’s not mentioning is the details of how both feel. The T7 is plastic and feels like a toy while the Rane One is built like a tank and damn near indestructible. The Rane One is heavy but it’s better than carrying 2 Rane 12’s and a mixer or 2 Technic 1200’s. It’s heavy but it’s a much better controller. A real DJ isn’t complaining about how heavy it is. The T7 doesn’t do backspins very well, the pads don’t feel good at all, it obviously doesn’t come with Serato DJ Pro unlocked. The mic sounds like crap but I use an external mixer anyway. There just isn’t a comparison between the 2. There’s a reason why it’s not the same price as the Rane. The faders are trash. I know you can upgrade but why put such crappy faders from the factory? The stems buttons are nice and that’s about it. The Rane beats the T7 in every category X’s 10. Might be good for bedroom DJ but if you gig a lot I’d go for the Rane One. It’s proven! And I’m not waiting for a belt to pop off in the future on the T7. I just order a Rev-5 for my second controller.
Then send it my way plz 😂
How are you liking that rev 5?? Have the rane one but also want to add the rev 5 to my collection lol looks like a fun controller
Right out of the box the platters are definitely stiff. It takes a few times playing on it to actually break it in but i agree that the Rane one is far superior in pretty much every way. Hence the higher price tag too
Would you go with the poineer rev 1 over the Hercules t7 ? Let me know
@Kiddrock50 try it for yourself first
I really like the speaker and its my go-to rental speaker but I wouldn't buy one. I did and it died within the year (crazy issue with the inputs cutting out the entire low end intermittently)
Did you buy it brand new? Or did you end up buying a used one that they used to rent out?
I like hercules but I admit that Rane one îs the best
Both controllers are "BEASTS"!
Looks like you've got the jbl master volume up full
Hmmm good eye!
How’s this speaker working for you now?? I bought 2 when they first came out and tried it at some ceremonies and it failed on me a time or two. But I still like them and use them for casual settings.
It still works well for me. I haven't used it in a while though. You definitely need to use this with the app to get the most out of it. Thanks for chiming in bro!
Great review! Thanks. I think I'll try them out now. Was debating getting these or Maui 5 go. Did you use a separate sub at these events, or just 2 columns?
I just used the 2 columns for these events. You'll love the towers! Thanks for watching!
Thanks 9 for given your props to the t7, i bought the t7 for two reason, spinning platters and lighter,i own the ns7 ll and my tank is heavy a beast for keeper, but i must say,my t7 is also a keeper.your reviews on the t7 i beleive to be the honest review.
Thank you so much for watching! Appreciate your comment!
Do you feel like it is as good for scratching as the NS7? I've been trying to find a good controller that feels like vinyl for scratching and came across the Hercules.
@@draglinedrummer oh ya! Its great for scratching! Even better with the innofader upgrade!
Thanks man!!! Excellent video! My T7 will be here today and can’t wait to mess around with it!!!!
Appreciate you watching the video! Enjoy the T7!!
How about a pair of this in my livingroom as a hifi system? Would it be up to the job?
If you're considering anything like this in your living room, you must have a HUGE ASS living room!!!! But if you don't have a big living room, a pair of these will literally shake the whole house LOL
I own the Rane but I was looking at the T7 because of how light it was. Lugging the Rane around does get annoying at times lol
The T7 is surprisingly light!
Great comparison! I love my Rane One!
Thanks for watching!
I've owned the t7 for a couple of months now.done the inofader upgrade, this is a brilliant controller, just pop it in a bag for house party's....and a cheap thing to have ready to mess about with...saves lugging around turntables for sure...its a keeper!
Yessir!!!!! 💯
These 2 cannot be compared. Rane is in a different class.
Anything can be compared my friend. Both spinning platters too but thanks
I'd love to know why you think you couldn't compare them? You realize there's nothing closer to the Rane One than the T7... Price difference is really the only thing that's majorly different... Sure ones direct drive but the other compensates for the belts with lighter pads. 2 channels, spinning platters, 8 pads per deck, no built in effects (which is fine for entry level but not for 1500$), the T7 has stems controls
I just bought exactly the same speaker today, but for some reason the volume is too low, no matter how much you put up the volume it barely fills a small room, I know the speaker is pretty good and very loud, it could be something to do with the settings, I wish it's just a plug and play like that, I am going to contact JBL customer care
Have you tried the speaker with the app? Im sure that will help.
@@DjNinesworld U are absolutely right, when I update the app, which eventually reset the speaker, now its all good 🙂
