This news seems and smells like it will go sour real quick. As I have Rane gear that unlocks Serato DJ Pro. At the very least, I feel I will have to pay extra in the future, plus I have many expansions that will be at risk. Also, I feel in my gut that the development of new Rane products will come to a screeching halt if Rane has to consult the new owners of Serato. I try to be positive, but this looks like a bad forecast. I guess its no need for me to look for any more updates. Hopefully, InMusic has a backup plan in terms of Software.

Pioneer DJ AND Serato Together With Alpha Theta is going to be SUPER 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯 …Though I do like the concept of competition makes everything better… But, Pioneer has been known for just keep improving and outdoing themselves and keep that solid excellence in their products… they always strive to keep themselves in the high lane of like a Rolex, Mercedes Benz, Bentley, BMW, Sony, etc, etc high end Tech and what not brands would be but in the DJ World… and they always come up solid and winners with their equipment and sound effects and stuff… even their V80 studio monitor speakers are off the hook and blew the KRK Rokit out the water! … man, this going to be I think something groundbreaking let’s hope for the DJ Community and CRAZY SUPER GOOD DJ Equipment would come out of this. 🔥💯🫡

Alpha was in the midst of buying serato until IN-MUSIC(competition) came along last summer and cock blocked them from buying. The competition scared that Alpha theta would be monopolizing the whole dj industry(which in fact they pretty much are already) is suing them not to buy Serato. They are still in the middle of it and have not come to a decision yet. So we will see what happens. I hope this answers your question

@@DjNinesworld gear is too expensive as it is. I'm so tired of upgrades and changes in the dj world I miss the vinyl days.

As a fan of Rane, this news blows. Granted, I've owned Pioneer gear before but have grown to prefer Rane instead. I guess we'll just have to wait how things turn out in the long run.

I’m a big fan of In Music gear. I have the Prime Go and the MixStream Pro. I gig with them primarily by using the integration with Virtual Dj. I do think with the improved functionality of Engine Os I think we will see the Engine desktop software become even better and suitable for live performance.
