I'll buy second hand equipment from reputable DJ's who have mutual respect within my circle! Always best to line a friends/mutuals pocket rather than a strangers also can reach them if anything goes wrong!
Love the way you are so honest & don’t hold back CEE B! I’ve been Dj’in nearly 30 years & still learning from vids like this. Thanks my man! Keep doing what ya doing- Love it👍😁

He is so honest and you can just tell he is speaking from his heart. No BS. Just truth!
Good advice. I remember when I went to buy a 2nd hand Quadcore PC for my kid and the seller had the PC all setup and was showing us it working. The sticker on the front said Quadcore but I asked for him to reboot it to BIOS and saw it was Dualcore. He said it was a genuine mixup and then swapped the motherboard for the correct one.
I can't believe what happened to my expensive DJ equipment! I spent over $1,400 on it and now it's broken beyond repair. I'm so frustrated and disappointed. 😔💥 #DJDisaster #BrokenEquipment #ExpensiveMistake
Rule 1:Never discard the box and papers 😂 Great story, enjoying your channel.
Your absolutely right . Maybe be it’s best to buy new. I had a similar situation
Always keep the box :-) what did you find weird about the scratching on the 1000 SRT?
I just sold my used equipment & I don’t do business like that! The only thing I was worried about was, the person buying was going to try to rob me at gunpoint .. My deal went fine even though I felt the individual was on something..
Yea exactly, when i sell something i ask them if they want to test it and i make sure everything is ready if they wanna try it
This gives me even more of a reason to NEVER buy dj equipment used..
I had a similar situation buying used dj equipment online and it was broke. Now only buy brand new gear because I worry about something going wrong when I'm out performing at live gigs. My reputation is worth way more and I stand by that
All facts… I bought a used S9 from a local musician store and there was a broken RCA jack in the CD/ line. Lucky for me I needed the Phono line… I eventually opened it up and took it out…
Looking on buying a DDJ 1000 soon, I own Serato ..but I'm getting the Pioneer (Rekordbox) version of the controller..I hear that the serato version has lots of problems....as Pioneer want you to buy the Rekordbox version...Plus I do like them centre screens they have with the waveform in them, the Serato version only has time elapsed/remaining ..and the FX controls are not set up the same, need to midi map things just to use them out the box.
U Have Graduated 🎓 my Friend learned that lesson in 1984 trading turn tables (a) KLH semi automatic turntable for 2 Technic SLB 10's 😂 I was a teenager should have known.. got home pitch control way off I opened it up to find the Roach Motel 😢😂.. I went back and got my stuff back.. followed by a few scuffe's🥊 Last time I traded... Im still dj'ing I will bye from reputable dealer with warranty if i bye used gear... and that can come with problems 😊👍🏽
Damn I have an SR2 and was looking to the SRT also 😂 So you think I should just stay where I'm at ???
The moment, when you are so excited that you forget everything. Tipp from my side. Don't go visiting equip alone. Find a friend that has a little bit of knowledge about Tech and you are good to go
I've bought second hand mixer/speakers and headphones... and the speakers and headphones don't work... :( they were working when I bought them but they have now decided not to... I'm still trying everything to get them to work ... hopefully I've just pressed a button and they will start working at some point 🤞🤞I'm practicing through my laptops speakers...🔉🔊
This is a great video, cheers! Couple things. 1st, £500 to repair that damage from a manufacturer is worth every penny. Even if it was £200 or £300 from a reputable repair shop. Good electronic repairs seem pricy but in the long run, worth every penny. (I have no skin in that game but it is from experience) 2nd, any time you need to make a capital purchase for a business, buy new. Full stop. Sure, there are situations where this isn't possible, but if it's to bring £ in, gotta be new. Reliability is the key but even if you have heartache with new gear, the seller will stand behind it. Not sure how it works in the UK, but new or used, they're a tax write off. P.S. check the bottom for dried liquid damge
What was wrong with the SRT
Recommending you buy new after you threw the packaging away from your brand new controller.. (which was probably fine) meaning a) you can't return it (you could have) and b) can't sell it. Wow.
Mahn i want to upgrade from numark mixtrack pro to pioneer sz but no gigs for months

...so is 'Open Box'. Full of bullshit rubbish, scammers and liars
I got my traktor z2 real cheap secondhand. Just lucky that everything works but the original box that it came it was in bad shape. There was always the chance of getting scammed but I took a chance nonetheless.
First rule is always make sure it turns on
I got scammed for £2,400 Sony Alpha & IV camera from Jessops, never got the money back, atrocious situation.
Unless I missed it but did you mention to the guy you was swapping the controller with that it was also damaged? If you didn’t you both finessed each other no? 😅

Nah the controller I swapped wasn’t damaged lol
what is the name of the service centre please? or a contact number
Seems you both scammed each other. Wonder if the guy took the DDJ 1000 to Oxford as well 😂. Nice story thanks for sharing
ladies and gentlemen, invest your money in real good music on new vinyl and 2nd hand vinyl instead of paying too much for the latest equipment. support the artists, instead of supporting tech companies to the max. and it is true that your old or used mixer and technics mkII 1210's not broken or damaged or whatsoever.
Sorry to hear about that brother that you had to deal with double the trouble, at least u was honest and was able to get the S9 fixed. But seeing those type of experiences is the reason I feel more comfortable buying brand new because sometimes although the equipment can work flawlessly for awhile something random can come up that the person either A Didn't know or B Didn't tell u. Especially if u can't risk the equipment failing at u god forbid it does at a gig its a bad hit so I rather pay extra to be safe and either way I rather pay extra because what if something bad comes up and I have to fix it I'm going to spend a lot to the point brand new would've been the way.
OMG, I can't believe what happened next! This guy spent over $1,400 on a DJ service and ended up with a complete disaster. Watch to find out what went wrong and how he could have avoided it. #DJDisaster #BudgetBlunder
Should of name an shamed the dj
Live and learn that clown was dis honest
You’re lucky that’s all they got you for
Bro I ain’t even gonna watch this whole video. Your making nervous about S9s. It sounds like someone got experimental and plugged in a wrong power cable. They did you dirty none the less!
