    Thank you, Col. Wilkerson. Thank you, Talia. (and thank you, Paul). Growing up in the 50s and 60s in Michigan -- before joining the Navy -- a book that deeply affected me was Lederer / Burdick's "Ugly American." I vowed to try not to be one -- simple as that. This report brought those memories back. I am so thankful there are really good (North) Americans who report on these things.

    It didn't threaten lives, it killed people. But, no different than what is going on now all over the world - Governments downplaying and pretending that "Covid is over" and that it isn't still killing many and giving Long Covid to HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of people. We need to accept that the virus is very likely persisting inside us for years, even if we don't show long-term symptoms, and we need better vaccines that actually prevent transmission - mucosal vaccines.

    A recent Reuters investigation uncovered a scandalous Pentagon operation that sought to discredit the Chinese Sinovac vaccine and sow distrust among the population in the Philippines towards China. Col. Larry Wilkerson discusses previous unlawful Strategic Information Operations (SIOs) launched by the Pentagon and the particular depravity of this operation initiated in Spring 2020 under President Trump’s administration, at a time when countries such as the Philippines did not possess their own vaccine manufacturing capacity and were accepting a free supply of vaccines from China. Israel has been a strategic, economic, and moral liability for the United States since Day One in 1948. Israel was formally recognized by the U.S. under Harry Truman the same day as Israel's establishment on May 14, 1948. That is when Israel began being a strategic, economic, and moral liability for the United States. The U.S. State Dept. and the Joint Chiefs of Staff in 1947/48 were _strongly_ against U.S. support for the partitioning of Palestine and the United States' formal recognition of Israel as this political and diplomatic support would be an immense hindrance to effective U.S. policy and influence in the Near and Middle East. And so it has been ever since.

Why should russian language be preserved in Ukraine? It is Ukraine not russia. Everyone can speak a 2nd language, but children in my country go to Saturday school to learn it. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine have a lot in common. They were occupied by russia, during this occupation russia sent Russia's into country to populate and took natives to Siberia prisons. Now this country border russia and has a language issue. But these russians do not want to go back to russia, which is fine if they issimulate. There needs to be a cut of point where dissimulation is demanded.

    It really is stunning to me to hear so-called Marxists tie themselves into knots defending spooky ideas like "territorial integrity" while completing ignoring the right of any people to self-determination. Only one of these is actually about defending the interests of working people. The other is about protecting the right of capitalists to exploit land, resources, and the labor of the workers living there. Crimea has had a referendum with huge turnout and dozens of polls establishing overwhelming popular support for association with the Russian Federation. It is tone-deaf and downright chauvinistic to presume you know about what's best for the people who live there better than themselves.

  • @GM53946
    @GM539463 күн бұрын

    Forget about self-determination, you have an actual n**i state in the middle of Europe, openly promoting such an ideology, while in the same time combining it with the most vicious neoliberal reforms known to mankind (a story completely ignored). Worse, Ukrainian death squads are now being formed in Europe too. What do we think they are going to be used for? Next time farmers protest somewhere in Europe the Centuria units will come to teach them a lesson. And then the same kind of anti-labor legislation that is trialed in Ukraine will be passed everywhere else in the West too. That is where this is going eventually. But nobody seems willing to see it. And defending "territorial integrity" here is the equivalent of claiming the Soveits shouldn't have pushed past Warsaw in WWII, because of German territorial integrity (the rest of Poland had been officially annexed after all).

    This guy is hallucinating! He seriously talks about Ukraine with borders as 1991, and reparations that Russia must pay?! Wow! It sounds like ultimatum, not like peace negotiations plan. What I also heard is this is all about China. China didn’t lose so called Cold War, and now is grown powerful economy that is challenging the hegemony of US and its satellites. So, west must unite against China, by absorbing as much of countries as possible, that means NATO must expand farther. I want to ask you, why the hell you made Russia your enemy? Putin even offered Russia to NATO. Don’t you know that? So, you guys suck. You are bad imperialists, who make bad decisions. And now your hegemony is going down. You are loosing. I am not addressing this to this guy. He is just poorly educated and not really smart talking head of european bureaucracy. He did not really study theory in Soviet school. He has no idea what he is talking about.

    It is an utterly brutal proposal. IF he was really serious, and understanding the timeline of the war in Ukraine, who have been the offensive part, the provokers, who dared to make so-called agreements that were part of an unethical plan, to win time, to attack Russia. IF the guest in this video would be really serious, and showing any kind of understanding of the facts, created also by Latvia, then he would start with: Disband NATO, all plans cancelled, including the coming or already realised 14 American airbases in Finland, next to the border with Russia (check video Judge Napolitano with Pepe Escobar, published some hours ago), an immediate cancelling of Ukraine's wish to be part of NATO, and EU, since Ukraine is the most corrupt nation in the world, the dismissal of Zelensky..... all this is part number 1. Then: Russia out of Ukraine? After all what happened? The terrorist attack in Moscow Crocus, the terrorist attacks, recently, in Crimea? The death of how many Russians, to keep the NATO supported gang of Kiev out of east Ukraine, AND Russia. South East Ukraine has been shelled since 2014, people were killed, wounded, lived in constant fear. they have been dehumanized by Kiev, even the language was forbidden, the now Russian area was criminalised by Porochenko, treated like animals or worse. the people living there do not even get a question from this guest, about what they want. There were others who asked. No, they are not willing to be part of Ukraine ever again..... All this shows shows that the guest here has not any idea where he is talking about.

    Russia has no choice but to both end Ukraine's statehood and erase Ukrainian identity in general. Too much has happened at this point. Any independent Ukraine will be a hotbed of militantly anti-Russian sentiment, combined with a certain resurrected ideology from the first half of the 20th century, forever. Because there is nothing else to base Ukrainian identity on. And that means missiles and drones flying towards Moscow in perpetuity, whatever remains of Ukraine eveventually acquiring nukes, etc. It will be a never ending critical threat, for decades and centuries, and it will only become more and more difficult to neutralize as time goes on. Which we have seen in the last two years -- how much have Ukrainian military capabilities increased in that time? Of course the Kremlin is deeply at fault here, for completely failing to exercise any soft power in Ukraine all these years while the West was funding the resurrection of the ideology that this comment would get filtered if I mention directly. Wasn't a certain person bragging about how the Maidan was bought with 5 billion dollars? Didn't Russia have much more than that to spend on countermeasures, and how much was Ukraine worth to Russia? Certainly the current war has cost hundreds of billions already. But the Kremlin couldn't be bothered to lift a finger to block the corrosive Western influence. Because reasons.... So we went from Moscow controlling all of Ukraine in 1991 to Ukraine being what it is now. Which cannot be allowed to continue to exist.

    Launching war against people of same community is more than crime.. And launching war against your own citizens? How about the fact that post maidan ukranian army and neonazis batallones were bombing and shelling Donbas? How about the fact that west and Ukraine ignored the Minsk treaty? It is imperialistic war. Right. But it is imperialistic war in interests of western hegemony. US and NATO proxy war against Russia. Your speaker is a liar. He knows all this. He also knows that territories that Russia controls will never get back to Ukraine. There is no way. Neither side is interested in a solution? Putin put forth a framework for negotiations in the last month and has repeatedly noted that Russia and Ukraine were very close to a negotiated settlement shortly after the beginning of the Russian incursion which is widely recognized to have been sabotaged by then British PM Boris Johnson in coordination with the US. The US is using Ukraine to weaken Russia. Witness Rand Corporation (a think tank connected to the US Defense Dept.) in 2019 issued a study on a strategy for "extending Russia" of which Ukraine war is included.

  • @GM53946

    Putin begged once again for a deal so that he doesn't have to do what has to be done to win the war. Because in order to win the war, he will have to severe all ties with the West and he will have to mobilize the country following a Soviet model. Both of those things are highly undesirable for the Russian oligarchy class whose interests he is in power to protect. The sole reason the SMO even happened was that those interests were threatened by Western actions, but even then the SMO was a bluff. Which bluff was called, and they have been in a desperate search of a way out for 28 months now. A way out that does not involve total mobilization, direct strikes on NATO territory, etc. Which is why humiliation after humilitation is not responded to, Russian civilians are massacred daily in ever increasing numbers, and the slaughter on the battlefield continues (and always remember that the cannon fodder on the other side is mostly Russian people too, misguided as they might be). Remember all those times the phrase "decision making centers" was mentioned back in 2022? Well, that was another bluff that was called too, and we don't hear it much these days. The Kremlin has the tools to end the war without even nuking anything in Europe -- strike the decision making centers indeed, meaning the gathering places of the Western oligarchy, so that the Western oligarchy becomes seriously afraid for their lives, and deterrence will be reestablished that way. But that means irreversiblly foreclosing on any hopes of the Russian oligarchy being integrated into the Western oligarchy, the grand project that the USSR was sacrified and then countless core Russian interests were not defended in the name of...

    It is a colonial war -- of the West trying to colonize Russia. It has already torn off a very big piece of it in the form of Ukraine and the Baltics, but now they want it all. This is Operation Barbarossa 2.0, in slow motion. And Igor Pimenov is either a traitor or a useful idiot -- a Russian (Latvian by passport only) who either does not understand what is happening, or has some other agenda.
