Super shiny!
Appreciate the Video thanks 💯💪🏾💪🏾💯
Once I seen you have to push down on the Panel... I'm good
I’ve heard they have an updated release mechanism that doesn’t require pushing on the top, but I have yet to confirm with the company. I plan on reaching out to see if it’s true and if I can add the updated mechanism to the cover I already have.
Pushing down in the cover to open it is the worst part of this particular design.
My 2012 has a set of those on it from the PO. 285/50 22 They look alright, and they handle well, but they pick up all sorts of gravel and they're very soft. Definitely not a truck tire in my opinion. I had one pick up a screw and while putting a plug in it I was amazed at how easy it was to puncture, almost like it had no belts in it.
Haven’t had any punctures in mine yet. They’ve been absolutely perfect so far.
Any chance you can swap out the little plates? Or are the glues in ?
If you’re referring to the door sills, you should be able to swap out just the plate. GM makes an illuminated plate that can be installed where it’s just the plate and not the entire sill piece.
Can a 3" reel assembly work on my older 4" , which is not available? The spring finally broke and I would rather spend $150 for another reel assembly then $1500 for a new RNL.
I have no idea. That would be a question for RNL customer support.
Definitely putting one to keep in my car. I like that it’s compact. Thanks for the promo code!
I think almost everyone should have one of these in their glove box.
great vid great exhaust mine comes in a couple days . cant wait ....
Just got the M series roll n lock for my 2001 silverado 2500hd. I absolutely love it after making some required adjustments to the rail brackets and clamps. I worked out the small issues that I was experiencing. Now it is super solid, with no noises. No flapping and effortless retraction to cover or uncover my truck bed. Being that the M series has the vinyl top layer, I treated it with ceramic sealer for vinyl, plastic, and rubber. It also guards against fading and aging that could cause cracks in the vinyl and eventually leaks . But all this is worth it because I am very happy with my purchase..
Shout out to Southpaw garage . Thanks for your like
Nice look and video I'm getting the same ones for my 21 Silverado custom
If we go cross country, and have a full bed of stuff, when you do the retract it involves the cover going DOWN, but if stuff is there you can't go DOWN, that space is no longer available PLUS you would have to make sure nothing shifts back there otherwise it won't be able to retract. Hmm
You are correct. I put short items in the very front of the bed that fit under the cover when it is retracted. Then I use a cargo bar to keep other items from sliding into the space that would be needed for the bed cover to retract.
Thanks for the insight will be doing mine this weekend!
Love the trunk panels, make the exact same ones and I’ll buy them from you.
I saw a different video and removing the switch control from the panel before removing the panel sure looked much easier to disconnect and to reconnect the plugs to the switch control.
Can you comment a link to that video? I would like to see that method.
What is with the crumby music?
What’s with the crummy attitude? We don’t all have money to spend on the hottest tracks for videos. Some of us work with what we can get.
I LIKED the VIDEO a lot! 👍🏼
I appreciate that
When you tighten the clamps, does each side have to make contact with the grooved spacer in the middle? I’m getting exhaust leaks at every clam and I’ve tighten them as much as I can. Not sure if I over or under tightened them though.
The sides of the clamps on my truck are not fully seated against the spacer. Most of them are at least touching it at its widest point on the outer side of the spacer, but not all of the clamps. Some are just close to it. I will say that over tightening can be easy to do. I actually over tightened a clamp during install to the point that the spacer snapped in half and I had to replace it. I don’t really know what to recommend if you are having exhaust leaks. I would hate to recommend tightening the clamps more, only for you to break a spacer like I did.
Mine just came in today. Thank you for your video brother! Yours was the ONLY detailed one in removing the factory exhaust!
I’m glad the video was helpful!
Great video… I just got mine a few weeks ago, got the HD. I don’t need to press on the panels to collapse. Mine came with two push rods that colapse, then just push the panels back. Have no issues yet. What do want to know is how I cadd some racks above the cover so I can store or carry on top. Again , great vid.
I know there are racks that are compatible with Peragon covers, but I don’t know anything about which ones specifically. Peragon does have a web page that is supposed to help with finding compatible accessories: www.peragon.com/blog/what-accessories-work-with-my-tonneau-cover/
I also wonder if they updated the HD design since I installed my cover. I don’t have the push rods. I also know that they say the new HD covers can partially open and lock in multiple positions, but mine doesn’t have that functionality either.
I’m thinking about a very similar setup with my RST but considering 275/65R20. Do you think the extra inch would rub or does it look like you still have a little room with the 33s?
My front tires ALMOST rub as they are. At full lock, I can just slide a piece of paper between the tire and the wheel well. An extra inch would most likely need a lift/level to create clearance or clearance made in the wheel well.
Does this one come with different potential specs/options like the mustang did?
You can build it as a convertible or hard top. Those are the only different options.
Is it real Lego?
Yes. It’s an official Lego kit. Along with the Mustang and Camaro that I built as well.
Where'd his mustache go? Must be Muslim ig?
This is the dumbest comment I’ve seen on any of my videos. You’re not funny.
Hi, USB in the center armrest with backlight in the dark? What color does it light up?
The USB that is inside the center console arm rest does not light up. Only the ones in the infotainment stack do.
I am currently trying to wire my wiper motor. The yellow wire ACC 905 is on the inside of the cab but needs to be in the engine bay. Did you reroute it through the bulkhead connector? Or is that the one wire poking out through your firewall near your wiper? It is hard to tell what's happening because it is all taped up
The wiring kit we used did not have a yellow wire going to the wiper motor. It has a light blue wire and a white wire going to a connector that is for the wiper motor. The yellow wire inside the cab was for the clock in the dash. This is a link to the wiring diagrams/instructions for the wiring kit that we used for the Nova: api.americanautowire.com/shopify/instructions/500878_1969-72_Chevy_Nova_Classic_Update_Kit_First_Design.pdf
I always appreciate a review that points out the pros and cons; helps me better understand what I’m getting myself into. I also like the multiple Goodrs. Need another coupon code for those!
Thanks for the comment! Gotta thank your wife for getting me into Goodrs!
I would take a an exact duplicate of those panels. Turned out awesome.
Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I get my kit tomorrow and will install it myself next weekend. How has it been for you ?
It’s been great! I love it! I still get compliments about how good my truck sounds.
You should make paper templates for those pieces and sell them 😉
That would be awesome if I knew how to figure out the logistics for something like that.
@@SouthpawGarage Im doing mine with a similar floor as yours but with carpet and were gonna put pull out panels so we can store tools and what not under the floor. Yours looks great.
Thank you! Our panels are removable also so we can use the truck if we need to.
Excellent, to-the-point video. Well done.
Tj dilishaw lookalike
I don’t see it. And I had to specifically look up who that is.
I tried to remove my stock antenna on my 13 Silverado and put a stubby one one but stick won’t come off i have used wrenches, pliers and even a torch to get it off
It should screw right off. I didn’t have to use any excess force to get it loose. A couple turns with a wrench and then finish twisting it by had was all it took.
You sold me on this setup, thanks bro. Its by far the best bang for buck exhuast on the market. And the sound is perfect for a daily driver ( i have 3 car seats so i didnt want it too loud) it had a great cold start and nice tone. But zero drone and quiet when low rpm cruising. Plus the quad black tips are sick! Nice video bro, i def cut my factory exhaust too 😂
I’m glad you found the video and are happy with the exhaust kit! Thank you for the comment!
Great video. Can the fog light bezel be removed from the front?
The Blazers do not have fog lights. They have two light sections on each side. 1: the running light that is directly below the hood. 2: the headlight & blinker housing that is in the front fascia.
@@SouthpawGarage Well, the lower housing bezel. Can the plastic trim be removed from the front?
I don’t believe so. I didn’t remove the one on this Blazer, but based on what I can find, it looks like the bezel snaps in from the back side of the bumper.
@SouthpawGarage bummer. I have one that's cracked and was going to install the 3m carbon fiber covers but they don't fit over the factory bezels.
The wheels look great on your truck. Exact size I want to put on my Silverado. I have 20 by 9 stock wheels on mine also. Does the +1 offset clear the upper control arm okay
I have not had any issues with these wheels. I can go full lock to full lock without hitting or running anything.
Scrap it and get a Tundra.
That’s not happening. You can't even get a V8 in a new Tundra. I definitely prefer my full size American 5.3L V8.
I did the mud flap delete on my rst. Rough country has a mud flap delete kit that covers up the holes where the old mud flaps come off. Makes the truck look a lot cleaner. Also you should check out the gloss black door pillars that come on the ltz’s and high countries. I think it would look good with your tinted windows
If I did any type of lift and larger tire, I would definitely do a mud guard delete since mud guards would must likely rub larger tires, but for right now I like the idea of reducing the amount of mud that slings onto my steps and down the side of my truck. Thank you for mentioning the Rough Country option, though. I will definitely put that on the list in case I ever go with a larger tire in the future. I thought about the door pillars but since the rest of the window trim is flat black, I think I’ll leave the door pillars the same. My windows are also factory tint at the moment. I want to tint the front to match the rear at some point, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.
@@SouthpawGarage understand. I have a black rst with limo tint all the way around. 55% on the windshield. The gloss black pillars blend in really nice
@@SouthpawGarage just subscribed 👍🏼
I like how the little touches make a pretty big impact. I think a set of vent visors might look good, I have a set on my car & I find they look good & I find them very practical.
Looks clean! I like the off road emblem 👍
Can you replace the actual bulb for these or do you have to replace the whole fixture?
I don’t see any way to replace the bulbs without replacing the entire fixture.
I went to infotainment website and they did not sell the processor without the screen part number G-BDLIOR2IOU-T119 do you know where I can buy without the screen?
Definitely love that back seat floor mat, the z71 Chevy one is ridiculously, should be all one piece.
Agreed! I hated that my Z71 rear floor mat kept separating in the middle section. I don’t know why Chevy doesn’t make it one piece.
Very nice and I see and get what you’re doing but I don’t understand why you didn’t go with both electric water pump and fans simply for what they can do for your engine longevity and performance since they can be on and off while driving and after you shut off and walk away but again very nice
Because we wanted as close to a factory look in the engine bay as possible with our engine build and this car isn’t a daily driver, anyway. It’s a weekend cruiser and show car.
'Promo SM' ❗
???
Great video ...new sub!
Thank you for the sub! I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
Can it handle 5 feet of snow and ice? Or does it need to be babied?
I live in GA soooo… I can’t really speak to snow and ice. lol. There website has some info on Weather Resistance: www.peragon.com/truck-tonneau-covers/elements-protection/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw-_mvBhDwARIsAA-Q0Q4FOBtY2h3hxHVlIoff5vW90U8_Q427GOCrJ9pJqp-4UfVsqs4-7xkaAkc6EALw_wcB You may want to speak with someone at Peragon regarding specifics.
@@SouthpawGarage I don't have to. I watched another video from Florida. He says the con is, it can't handle any extreme load on the tracks. It would collapse on itself.
If it’s locked, it won’t be able to collapse on itself, but a significant load could put unneeded pressure on the lock mechanism.
