I’m currently suffering from sciatica. I’ve been given gapabentin and ibuprofen as medication. And of course, physical therapy that I’m attending to. I’ve had numbness in my hamstring and buttock for about 3 weeks now. How long does numbness usually last?
awesome!
😄👍🏻
I don’t normally comment on KZread, but I feel obliged to do so. I have always struggled with stretching the hamstring, it always hurt and I never made long term progression. The second exercise gave me instant relief. Thanks so much!
Very nice to hear that you got help from this! 🥳
Almost instant relief. Obviously need to continue practicing & gain consistency but thank you so much!!
Happy to hear we could be of help! Hope you get long lasting results🙏🏻👍
Thank you!!! I can already tell this will help.
You're welcome!🙏🏻
I've paid 65 dollars for physio treatment that did not help a bit. I did this for few minutes and the pain is gone. Life is not what I thought it is.
Sometimes it be like that 😅 Glad to hear you got help from this. 👌🏻
Very helpful, thank you! Would you please do a similar video for big toe mobility?
Nice to hear that you liked it. 😄 Sure, we'll consider doing it at some point. 👍🏻
Very good. Have you heard of NKT techniques
I can't say that it rings any bells for me. 😅
Thanks man. Hope this exercises help me with years of tight hamstring. I will come back again after a month with review after exercising
Let's hope so! 👍🏻
Is this helping if someone has disc bulging (C6-C7)?
It could as a complimentary exercise. I would not use this as the primary intervention, I would focus more on movement control, strengthening the deep postural muscles and pain relieving positions. 👍🏻
😂 you made me chuckle. Thank you for demonstrating the target area. The neck ache went away. 😊
Nice to hear that it was both entertaining and helpful. 😂
I have tried it, very painful (I also have fibromyalgia) but for relieved immediately and it have been two days with almost no pain. I have had chronic pain there for YEARS. It feels so nice to no keep moving trying to find a position that doesn’t hurt me (spoiler alert : no position helps, even laying down is painful). Thank you 🙏
Very nice to hear that it helped you. 😄 Fibromyalgia is really annoying problem and it's always good to find techniques that provide some relief. 👍🏻
I'm going to throw this into my repertoire. I hope this helps me as much as your wall chin tucks video. T.Y. for that Brother!
Let's hope so! 😄
Thanks Better without the music next time. It's distracting and doesn't add much
We'll consider it 😅
any tips for hair loss? just kidding, thanks for the video! 🙏
As you can see, we are the experts on that area. 😂
If you have migraine does it work?
This depends on the type of migraine, so the only way to see is to try it. 🤔 Usually there are some muscles that are tight, so it might help on the long run. 👍🏻
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Pls share upper trap and levator scapulae release movements 🙌🏼
Hi! Here's the video👍 kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXWJ2syrisWXeaw.html
I can only get one hand/arm against the wall. Any suggestions? Thanks for the video.
You could do it with the smaller range and over time ot should start to get closer to the wall. Also, try the version that's done on the floor, it is usually the easier starter version of the exercise. 👍🏻
For the wall exercise where should your arms be located while doing this activity? I have a hard time keeping my shoulders against the wall. I feel this exercise a lot in the mid back region. Nothing to serious but I notice it. I really like this exercise (wall ) and I’m going to stick with this one! Thank you for this video. 🎉
The arms are by your side, with the shoulder blades on contact with the wall. It is quite normal to feel tension in other areas that are not the neck. It depends where your stiffness is. So keep on doing the exercise like you are, the tension should start to lessen after you've done the exercise consistently for a few weeks. 😊👍🏻
I figured this one out from desperation. My husband has a long solid steel breaker bar he uses for mechanical work. I went and took it from his tool stash and now it lives next to my bed when he’s not using it. I’m going to buy one for myself.
Nice improvisation, in our experience this is not the most common technique out there. 😄
Great video!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! 😄
Many many thanks guys!
You are welcome!🙏
❤❤❤
Where are you located
In Finland
Thank you. You two are fabulous!
Thank you!🙏
This info is so valuable! Thank you so much! Keep doing what you are doing guys!
Glad to hear you like our videos! We will keep on doing them💪
I tried a few times over the past days and it seems that the tingling in my leg worsens after doing the second exercise. Any thoughts ?
Hi! You might stretch it too far. It is easy to bring the knee too close to your chest. If the second one is problematic, do only the 1. exercise. Hope this helps!🙏
How to release trap?
Here is a video that we did on upper trap release, enjoy!👍🏻 kzread.info/dash/bejne/nXWJ2syrisWXeaw.html
Got any tips for tennis elbow???
Yes! We have a video coming up on the topic. I think maybe in next month sometimes. Not sure. It's edited already. But we have also an online course that has exercises for tennis elbow, if you are interested in. Here is a link to the course: www.movementworld.com/solution-for-hand-numbness-us
ok, so where have you been all my life? This is gold, seriously. I have been in physical therapy for a year now and my hamstrings have been tight, my right leg has been tight up to my foot/ankle. I started this exercise yesterday and I see a huge difference. My right leg stops cramping up and for example my thigh stopped hurting in child's pose. Brilliant, thank you so much
I hope you get long lasting results!🙏😊
Simply great , your combination of serious knowledge and humour. Isn't there a special KZread award for guys like you?
Wow, thank you! Glad to hear that our weird and dark humor is appreciated.🙏
Wow, have struggled with hamstring tightness my whole life and have asked multiple physios about it before and was always told that it would get better with consistent stretching… as soon as I pulled my head down in that test it shot pain through my leg, I really hope these excercises can help this improve! Thank you for the video!
You are welcome! We hope you will see results from these exercises.🙏
👍🏻
Thankyou sincerly for you help
Our pleasure! That's why we do this.💪
I love Finland and the Finnish quality in everything and here I can see it in high quality physiotherapy. Thank you and all the best
Our pleasure! Happy to hear you like our videos. And all the best to you too!🙏
Wow...i have been overstretching and suffering for months. This worked right away when I added head movement. Been doing elephant walks, figure 4 and this leg extension with no change. 15 reps of this with head movement and it feels better.
Glad to hear you found immediate help from the exercise!🙏😊
Love this Got me nauseous..lol
Yes, moving your head back and forth can cause this if you are not accustomed to it.
I believe i recently lost hearing in my right ear due to painting my ceiling for 4 hrs. Looking up while rolling. 5 months still muffled and high pitch rining and my occipital area is sensitive. Sigh
Sorry to hear!😔
What if doing the 1st test its the quad that feels tight and limiting?
It might be an myofascial issue of the quad if the shortening in muscle lebght feels tight
Hej hej...Great videos. How may reps per day do you recommend please 😊
No set amount of reps. But do 2min for example in 1min sets. If you want fast results, start doing this 2-4 times a day.
I feel you. I pray in my heart to Jesus Chris. ❤❤❤
Fixing neck with wooden stick …seems like Russian roulette
What makes it seem like that to you? 🤔😅
I usually never comment on videos but this one is too amazing not to! I found this video after searching for an answer to why my legs start tingling when i do hamstring stretches. after having made great stretching progress during my yoga practice I had several months of inactivity. When trying to start stretching again this tingling and numbness started appearing. I did the test shown on the video and sure enough it was the sciatica. I just did the "flossing" and tried my usual hamstring stretch again. Guess what? no tingling 🥹🥹🥹 This was after just one round! Can't wait to see the results after doing this regularly. Thank you so much guys keep up the good work ❤️ subscribed!
This is very awsome to hear! 🤩 Hopefully the long term benefits are even better. 👍🏻 Thanks for the subscribtion. 😄
I cant do the first one😢😅
No worries, if you can still do the second one then just use that. 👍
I’ve had problems for a long time now. This solution seems to be working. After 2 sessions I did not wake up during the night with pain down my leg. Unbelievable
Great! 🤩
Engagement! Thanks for the video, I should work on this.
Engagement is the nectar for KZread algorithms 😄💪🏻 Great to hear that you liked the video, hopefully your hamstrings begin to feel released. 👍🏻
@@movementmaintenance There's a classic youtube horror series, called "Don't hug me I'm scared", that satirizes this at the end of episode three... How was it, "His name is Malcolm, and we must feed him, we must feed him gravel, or he'll become angry!"
Interesting, I‘m going to try this. Are you from Finland? The accent sounds like it.
Yes, we are from Finland. 😄
Wonderfully Explained 😍 many thanks 🙏 From 🇬🇧
Thank you 🤩
25 seconds. I have neck pain associated with occipital neuralgia. I have improved over the last twenty years or so but I am still weak in this muscle.
Not the worst time I've ever seen. 😅 It's always good to find these weaker links, so there can be a straightforward goal for training. 💪🏻
Thank you for mentioning Ankylosing Spondylitis. I was diagnosed last November at age 67 but my vertebrae are not fused because of my active lifestyle. Still, I have had a lot of pain for decades that was unexplained. Yes, I had injuries, but the diagnosis has helped me make sense of all the symptoms I have had. I am trying to remain active. I have found the exercises in this video intuitively and have done them for several years. I still have pain throughout my spine but these are helpful. I love skiing and running and your channel is very helpful in my maintenance routine.
Sure, no problem. 😄 One of the most important things is to stay active like you're doing. Good to hear that our channel helps in your body maintenance routine. 👍
