3:59 Set Fluid Source Attributes not available in my unreal engine. Is it because I'm using 5.4 or do I have to install a plugin?
Enable Niagara fluids plugin
what unit setup did you used sir ?
I don’t remember but probably same as all my other tuts which is metric and 1cm
@@RedefineFX thank you sir, yur tuts awesome :)
I just finished this video and the effects looks great, however when trying to render it out as video the render get significantly more smoke than in view port.
You may have a scalability override turned on just for rendering
Thanks, this have been an real problem for me. Thanks alot from Sweden.
my object not interacting with the fluid. even if i follow the tutorial? plz help
What fluid
@@RedefineFX wups wrong tutorial i commented on. but anyway. i learned alot from this one
Wow...!! no words (y)
Looks great! How expensive is this for real time games and VR?
thank you for your tutorials
Great tutorial, but on my 4090 I can't even get it to do a fixed 30fps doing a scene similar to yours. I had to turn the resolution down from 500 to 400 and the GPU is over 70%. Is this normal? Seems like a lot.
That's normal
I tried to do it but I stayed trying to place the lights because when I tried everything it looks dark, where you see it illuminated, the model looks total darkness to me, I couldn't continue, I have the V-Ray 6 no I know what happens!
Looks beautiful, thanks for tutorial👍
Question: I like to do 3d product visualization for electronics and cgi automotive commercials what should I write in my linkedin? Or Its better to focus on one only?
Vortex forces is not working for me
No master node on my end. did they change this
@@deasmeofficiel2960 you 100% have to use 5.3. I was trying to follow this in 5.4 and that node doesn’t exist in 5.4.
Incorrect. Just search “master” in the template window or scroll down through the template emitters till you find it.
@@RedefineFX took you long enough lmao thanks
Could you please show how you animated the helicopter
It's amazing to see your work for the first time today You have been an extraordinary inspiration to me in my time of need As a Chinese student, I am very fortunate to be exposed to such works and meticulous teaching But borders and languages make it difficult for me to learn you, so I guess I should give more
Now that is absolutely cool as hell!
It wasn't what i wanted to do, but it was so clearly explained that was super useful, tnx m8 🤘
Hi! thanks for awesome tutorial, Is there a way for changing torus large radius so it looks portal is opening?
Thanks. Yes this can be done by animating a user parameter. This is covered in my Niagara immersion course.
Thanks for the tutorial! But I followed all your steps and when I render the portal it's all really blurry and low quality. Any clue to fix this? I tried rendering without anti-aliasing and in epic mode.
gpu killing video dont bother
hey my why arent my dots appearing when I put an emmiuter and set the emmiter to whatever number you said. nothing is showing up im getting a blank screen, it says its there but nothing is there how do i fix this?
help! does anyone know why my smoke is black and not grey? the color does not change with lighting also :((
Known issue on a Mac. If you’re on PC then no idea
How can I use this asset in unreal engine?
Export it as VDB
Question: Is there a way to make the smoke collide with the floor instead of on the bottom of the bounding box? I mean it wouldn't matter much if the ground was a flat plane like a frozen lake or something... but in the vast majority of cases I'd probably prefer to put the portal somewhere in the wilderness where the ground isn't flat... where's it's more rough terrain. If I do this, having the smoke terminate on a flat plane ruins the effect if it's looked @ from a low enough angle
Okay. So I figured out why the smoke was not colliding with my floor. I'm actually using a different kind of floor then landscape floor. I'm using another static mesh on top of the landscape mesh and it did not have collision enabled. Once i enabled it... problem solved 😊
I looks like the option to acess it removed is there a way i can acess it...?
Still available
@@RedefineFX Yes I got, chrome was acting a bit weird it was not showing thebox for entering email, acesssed it using Edge browser :p
Hey Jesse, Are there any real games out there now that use similar effects?
Thank you - how do you clip/remove the spherical smoke source from the scene?
You can disable the sphere source but then you’ll have no smoke unless you emit it from something else (eg particles)
Yes, I know. I have a similar problem in Houdini sometimes. In Houdini, I ramp up the opacity of the smoke so you don’t see the spherical smoke source, but I was wondering how to do it in unreal…
Hey there my set fluid source attribute module is missing under particle update in Niagara @ 4:10
Enable the Niagara fluids plugin
is the lava tutorial still online?
No because it was made in the older version of Phoenix. In the new version using particle tuner is the better method to achieve hardening lava, and is described in my Phoenix liquid course 2.0
boa noite, pergunta de quem não sabe muito sobre UE5, como habilito o Niagara FLUIDS? tenho que comprar?
Edit > Plugins > Search and active NiagaraFluids
It comes with unreal engine. Just enable it under plugins
@@RedefineFX obrigada, deu certinho, valeu ❤.
what is your PC? My laptop with RTX 3080 can't handle it...
Recorded on 4090 rtx
I don't want my Character to be on 0/0/0 coordinates.. how is it possible to change the location?
That requires a different setup entirely and is covered in my Niagara immersion course
Amazing news!@@RedefineFX I made it work with this setup by turning of local space in the emitter settings
@@flathmann hey men, I turn on the local space butttttt still doesn't work for me ? do you have a solution ?
Did you check if the local space in turned off in the SourceEmitter and in the Master_Emitter as well? I had the same problem, that is sometimes worked after I turned it off and sometime it didn't, but I can't tell why.. Also make sure everything is compiled. Let me know if you figured out what the problem was! @@hugomrt6082
how do i find set fluid particle :((
Enable the Niagara fluids plugin and watch my beginner tut
It looks very impressive
I have 4070 super 12 GB but I am facing crashing issue when I set quality to 300 so can you help me what needs to be change
If it’s crashing it’s because you found the limit of what your GPU can handle
@@RedefineFX how to resolve this issue I am using 12gb 4070 super and I set smoke resolution to 300
@RedefineFX Looking at getting one of your courses but can't decide between Niagara or Embergen, which do you feel looks better / more realistic? I would predominantly be using Unreal 5 path tracing as the render engine!
I always tell people to learn both as they both have their advantages but if you’re primarily an unreal engine artist then learn niagar first as it lives entirely inside UE
I can't download it, isn't it free?
Yes it’s free, simply put in your email and it’ll send you the download link
cool effect
Amazing tutorial!!! But, my Max is crashing when I press render button in the "collecting TMs" step. Anyone have a tip to solve this problem?
