Solo Camping, Bushcraft, Survival, Shelter, BackCountry Camping, Hiking, Backpacking, Fishing.
This channel is about exploring the Canadian outdoors. Join me in the back country while I go on camping and ATV trips in all four seasons. I'll sleep in a tent, a hammock , under a tarp, or in the shelter I build. I'm not trying to be an expert but just showing you the realities of being out in the woods in the different environments we have here in Canada. At the end of the day, I just enjoy spending time outdoors doing whatever I can.
Hope you enjoy.
Cheers,

Socks and a dirt floor do not mix.
My usual reality check - he’s got all this modern gear except for the fire stick. He should carry two bic lighters. Save cold hands and a lot of discomfort getting kindling to light immediately. I’ve been camping like that and believe me, me butane is best.
Amazing, really good. I enjoyed your video. Thanks for your sharing.
Great video.. I Subscribed from this .. Hello from the uk
You lucky son of a gun that kind of video relaxes me so much I can't find a sleeping pill to make me sleep that good thank you very much
Amazing❤. Really good. I like your video. Thanks for sharing.
It's a "snatch" block...giggity!
This is probably my favorite shelter I’ve seen so far. I would build the side walls up the rest of the way to prevent rain and snow blowing in, and I think you could build the far wall up a few logs more, I know you need some opening there as that’s the “chimney” essentially, but I think you could do 3 or 4 logs higher. And some kind of door so animals don’t get in
I don’t understand most of you campers. You pack a bunch of stuff, hike a ways out, takes time to set up camp for one night. I understand you may have work or whatever next day but do it when you can spend 2-3 days. Relax & enjoy all your hard work!!!
You call this guys ==== survival experts .?... bringing food from home?
Hi Joshua, what's up? Just watched your video and I must say it's really informative and helpful. I was thinking if I could help you make thumbnails for improved CTR and better views? Let me know, I can offer one for free.
Those must be some mean rabbits😂
The tarp is a good idea, it extended the dry area so you can sit or walk around without inside the cabin all the time, consider extend the tarp with a roof in future?
I'm thinking about a porch area but will see. Everything has to wait until fall again.
So the camera was already there when he was walking up?
Ya we have camera people all over the Forests here

Cuídese mucho amigo saludos desde sinaloa México
A couple of cans of sprayfoam qp
I'm trying to keep it all natural other than the tarp.
Another great camp. That might have been an otter.
Yes it was, I found out later. 👍🔥
Great winter camp. Beavers are amazing creatures.
Yes they are!
Why do people love the idea of sleeping in the rain and cold?
There something cozy and rewarding about it.
Where is the door??? This would be the first I would make... to keep the cold outside...
It's coming soon.
Wieso baut man sich für so eine Hütte nicht auch eine anständige Tür???
I will soon
So boring.
Hope you have a great week

Great little hut. Why only one night?
I have a family, full time job and life goes on. Can't send it all in the woods . 😆
Good stuff Josh! You left the noise and clamor of everyday life to get out into the bush and...experience noise and clamor...and bugs. You don't complain but enjoy your time camping which always makes your videos enjoyable and fun to watch. Keep those cameras rolling JG Wilderness Productions Inc.
Glad you enjoyed it! And yes. Even tho I hate the bugs the nature makes it to much fun.

Great video start to the season. Will you do a video showing your standard atv camping load out?
Ya maybe in the summer I'll do a camp and a kit loadout at the end for you folks that want to see
That extended nap paid off for the late night concert of ribbets and honkers lol! Real nice looking spot by the pond. We're back from an 8 day RV'ing trip to Yosemite & Sequoia National Parks (pics on the gram). Got some weekend upgrades coming to the truck & camper, then going back out for a quick weekend trip soon afterwards. Always good to see you getting out there and trying different camping styles (whether it's shelters or hammocks, all cool stuff!), and I'll be looking for the next one! Cheers!
