Solo Bushcraft Camping in Rain - Building Shelter after Storm ruined my tree fort
Ойын-сауық
Bushcraft camping and cooking steak over a campfire in the rain. A storm destroyed my tree shelter so I started building a new camp with the old wood.

Man, that's too bad the fort was knocked down by wind or snow. Good way to improvise and make another shelter for this trip. The meals looked great, and that was a neat idea using the stick to grill the steak. Keep living well, and I'll look for the next one. Peace! Pete - KI7LIL

@@JoshuaGammon The tree fort was a neat idea, but, falling is never a good idea or fun. I'll be curious how you build this one up, especially closing off the front/back walls, and maybe even a more secure roof than just using a tarp. Enjoy and cheers!

Hello Joshua ! Good seeing ya again. I loved that steak dinner! ☺️ yummy. I especially loved listening to the rain drops on your canopy overhead. The crackling fire was nice too. It was all around very nice! Loved the breakfast . Are you able to keep that camp site as your own or does someone else use it too? It sure looks like a very nice spot to keep for the winter. i hate hose candle lanterns.... just make a mess... back in the day, im guessing people never fried anything on the trails in pans, unless they were making wild yeast johny cakes or some kinda gruel on low heat. They likely boiled their meats and/or made a boiled pie like the mariner sea food pie... little cleanup that way...

I'm new to your channel and #BushCraft both. I'm also sick of the big city so I've started collecting Bush Crafting Tools because I am buying a Van to pack my friend and my 4 Pit Bulls up, and head to the Appalachians to seek peace and quiet, maybe less drive by and drive along shootings, gang violence and more shootings every day that I wake up. I'm just fed up with it, so I've downsized everything and now I'm searching for a place to #OffGrid and unplug as much from society as possible without becoming a Caveman in the process. STIHL Chainsaw? Check. Too many quality wrenches, sockets and linesman's plyer's and 17" long Wood Augers in various circumference's, Eyed Augers for shallow boring for pegs and short doweling pinning's for superior joints in structural integral issues...etcetera etcetera etcetera on the tools already acquired. I've got tools. Check. I've been in the city for going on 3 years and it's not what I left 12 / 13 years ago. Things did not get better in Michigan, nor Detroit. I was born in the 313 but I can't retire here. My heart is no longer in it. It's back in the Appalachian's and soon enough, I will be too. I'll rent a place while scouting for land in the area's I've already narrowed down on my very short list off of jump, and this is the last stop for the bucket list's beginning. I will pull this off. It's the #1 on the top of the list. The acquisition of land is top priority and then all things can proceed and in no particular order, just so long as Brian has a place he can call his home without fear of eviction, and where my #FurKids ( Pit Bulls ) will be safe from being drugged, stolen, and then used as "Bait-Dog's for training other dogs how to kill for the owners own sick personal financial gains in underground and highly illegal but all too frequent Dog Fighting rings" held in the basements of abandoned houses all across metro Detroit, Michigan. Kids these days are some #SickFuckers and I want to do thing's about it but NEED to just "do me my way and get away from the madness" before I lose my phukin' mind, snap, and lose everything. Brian's sick of it too. I'm 58 and he's 40 and since we're both medically disabled...why the phuk not. We're one step from being Hobo's anyway, so after a sit down discussion we're pooling cashflow, resources and knowledge to posses as much peace and quiet as humanly possible. And out Pit Bulls are of various ages and their loyalty is undeniable so security isn't going to be much of any issue that they can't warn me is coming, if any. I'm ranting, but I've re watched this video 3 times now and You Are Doing What I Want To Do and I'm Phuking Jealous :D Lol! Now that I've made this rant I'll go and look into your channel a bit deeper and I hope to God that I see more like this one. Keep doing You, Brotherman. And keep teaching guys like me that it's okay to reach out and take on more than looks possible because no matter the outcome, You Are Still Doing You. Period.
