Birch bark makes really neat tags for Christmas gifts, especially when you can get nice strips.

Hey Buddy !! Great video, I had to laugh when you forgot the pizza sauce, No joke, I forget something major every trip I go on.... hahaha the Pizza still looked good !! That was a really cool stove ! Pomoly sent me two stoves to try out, just need to get out and try them. Both have the Roll up stove pipe, I'm not familiar with that, I see you had guy lines out to support it, is that needed? They also sent me that same tent and you are So right, it's a big tent !!! I'd love to take my dad/brother out for a camping trip with it. Ya the roll up pipe is a little difference. Best to practice and what a little videos online. It's not hard if you got a starting point. You don't need the guy lines unless you think it's going to be windy. It's good safety practice though. Can't wait to see you setup when you get out here. Cheers buddy.

I was surprised. It was really good without the sauce. I didn't think it would be that good! Bear are around but they don't bother to much if there's a fire and smoke in the area! They should be full and ready to sleep soon anyways. Hope you have a great week Rosie and take care.

Breakfast was a dandy!

That is a nice stove setup for sure. I like the double deck style for those cold nights to add plenty of firewood. The pizza looked great despite not having the pizza sauce. Great looking area to camp in. I love the fall weather. Its my favorite time of year to camp. Man I need to breakout my hot tent. Its starting to get cold in the high country in New Mexico. Last week the first snow dropped 1.5ft above 12,000ft and more on the way. I plan on finding a camp spot near 11,000ft. Not sure I will be at snow level, but it will probably 10F or lower.

@@JoshuaGammon The mountains in New Mexico can get brutal at high elevations. New Mexico is such a diverse terrain that people would better understand by visiting. At high elevations, I have camped in 30-degree weather at 12,000ft in July and August. No one that I know of camps in the winter up there lol. You might not come out alive. Snow is 20ft deep or more at the peak of winter. In one of my recent videos, in July I rode in snow and it was cold near 11,000ft.

@@JoshuaGammon when snow levels are like that is also brings avalanche danger. To see the aftermath of an avalanche when the snow has melted off is wild. Trees snapped in half and a debris field. I’d hate to be camping in the way of that.

Great video! That was some good looking pizza and breakfast. Do you bring anything with you just in case you have a run in with bears or coyotes?

Thanks Andrew. I just have my axe, knife and saw. I've been doing this from 13 yrs old and ever had a problem with animals. It's all about how you move in the woods and store your food. You have more of a chance getting hit by a car.

@@JoshuaGammon That's a good point. When my buddy and I go bushcraft camping on his land (600+ acres of forest) we typically take some protection due to the bear and wolf population. Luckily in the 15 years of going into the bush, we've never had any encounters

Oh man, glad it's getting cooler out and the leaves are changing. You basically made a white pizza with extra toppings. Sometimes red pizza sauce is too much and cutting back, or eliminating it, still makes for a good pizza. You should have kept some of the dough to make breakfast calzones in the morning with the eggs and leftover toppings. I know, next time. Doctor has me on 3 Rx's to breathe and expects I should be done with this covid pneumonia in a couple more weeks (that'll put me at 7 weeks down all together...).
