"Professional" Aperture Science Test Subject

Hello everybody and welcome to a whole load of gaming related audio visual matter!
Much of which with no real consequence whatsoever!
This channel features a lot of first person puzzle solving type games, machinima?-esque? multiple video game mashup short film parody type... things, and a similar sounding to a shedload amount of portal, and pretty much anything else I feel like making at the time.

At first, I thought this was using a 3D skybox, but checking out the map myself, I was surprised that it _wasn't_ the case

Dude, i absolutely adore the old aprature look.. same with the old black mesa from blue shift... So wonderful!!! So old!!! So 70s!!! Wish i saw this type of asthetic in other games..... I might just make a tf2 map with an aesthetic inspired by old aprature!

I am so honored that you really felt it necessary to revisit my silly creation. It's insane this map is over 2 years old, I vividly remember watching your original video as it came out and laughing so loud as I started to see Demon Arisen type in my discord DMs, I interrupted him knowing exactly what he was going to tell me. Video games are funny. Glad my weird and niche passions could bring you some joy! Great video as always I really hope you love what you do.

hammer work really is totes amaze balls. I'm glad you played this again! This is one of my favorite Demon Arisen map :) 4:05 -- it's not supposed to be "eerie" IMO, it's just a normal, pleasant spring evening 7:48 -- "aggressively spanked by the faith plate" added to sentences that should never exist 17:10 -- yes, yes you are becoming far better at this game. no cap 17:33 -- "whos a naughty cube" added to sentences that should never exist as well 18:28 -- pretty sure the faithplate is programmed to land on the door in this map. I was also landing on the doorframe consistently also the ending was so great! I had only played Portal Editor version of this puzzle and not the hammerized version. Hammerized ending is 10/10

I vaguely remember you doing this one and really going off the rails. Glad to see you back and doing it correctly, and more importantly, acknowledging that you have improved considerable as a player!! Love to hear it. Not much else to say about this excellent puzzle and hammer built other than it's nice to see it again.

Rrrrr this is totally different from what quantum entanglement actually *is* ! Why use the term? It contributes to the false impression that people have of “when you act on one side of the entangled pair, the same/opposite thing is done to the other side”, which is totally wrong. Arrrrg

2:33 You can parent entities to one-another in Hammer/Source. That would make it so that if you move one, the other moves with it. You can play around with a command for it as well (ent_fire <entity> SetParent <another_entity>) For example: you can parent the player to whatever you're pointing at: (ent_fire player SetParent !picker)

I imagine the bounds are simply defined in both places, but one is with a "prop clip brush" that ignores the player, but not the cubes. Looking it up, func_clip_vphysics might be it. If the two cubes are in an equal state (rotation and all) within the same bounds and replicate the same movements, they shouldn't get out of sync, though they probably still can somehow (it's the Source Engine after all).

"THE CAT IS ALIVE" is also a play on "THE CAKE IS A LIE" which is why the "V" was so faint.
