Portal 2 Community Maps & Mods
The never ending quest for science isn’t about the destination!
It’s all about the Journey!
The companions we meet along the way, and getting those points of data to make a beautiful line.
At least so they say. Personally, I’m after that 60 bucks.

0:20 - Hanky's puzzles are some of the toughest I've ever played, but also some of the most satisfying to work out. Remember that one (Courier) where you start by pressing a button to open the exit, then the whole puzzle is getting back to said exit? Good stuff!!! 13:23 - Sounds like something I'm not British enough to understand 20:54 - This time it wasn't the receiver's fault. The cube was sitting under the laser, so it was the portals' fault 21:22 - I don't believe that was intended, just a random twitch :P 29:18 - That is SO like Hanky lmao 33:31 - Hint for the future: use the wall panels' lines for lining up portal shots. The middle of a voxel/block is _almost always_ in the line between two portal panels Great video as always, and nice work on solving this demonstrably-not-easy puzzle! Bit of a missed opportunity for the end gag to be a pile of Wheatley'Os on the travelator getting blocked and pushed into goo by the light bridge, though :P

You’re basically the only source of good community maps, and I’d be grateful for it once I play and finish the solo campaign.

I finally finished watching the full Perpetual Testing series. And saw the reaction that you are an underrated creator a lot of times in the comments. And I totally agree. I love your growth in solving puzzles, channel in-jokes and transitions. But in the first few levels of Perpetual Testen you mentioned Aperture DesΩlation, and that it would be released "soon", and now almost 400 levels later it still not released.

I loved Quantum Leap back in the day so I totally went down the road with you on that joke. This was another of those super clean puzzles that makes you work for it. I'm always envious of the ability to make these.

Quantum Leap has had a couple years as a revival series, so more people may have heard of it.

btw it's called a "reflection" cube, not really a "refraction" cube. it technically is just supposed to be a cube with angled mirrors -- except when it's perfectly aligned along the laser. refraction wouldn't let you turn the laser back towards the source, only the reflection would enable that thanks for the explanation on quantum leap lol, I heard about it first time on this channel. also quantum lean is 10/10 actual physics word.

21:30 - When did a companion cube threaten to slice you?😨 Thanks so much for playing one of my recommendations! I still continue to be amazed at how much faster you are than me. I did manage to work this out myself if I remember correctly. Thanks once again and hope to see you speedrunning more of my suggestions! P.S. ft nonlethal OMINOUS RED GLOW :)

I think lasers which don't hurt should be a different color on future maps.

You need to give yourself more credit, I'd say you breezed through the map :P If you haven't already, it might be useful for you to play around with level editor a bit to better understand the underlying layout in all non-Hammer maps - everything in them is on the square grid and the textures on walls, floors and ceilings are a very useful tool for aligning lasers, funnels and bridges!

Everytime you say “if I go down there can I get back?” At the start of these, my immediate thought is “that’s probably where the designer originally had the entrance. That’s probably where you’re meant to start but they wanted to plop you in randomly somewhere”

A lot of times puzzle designers will have you walk through the most amount of map to get to the actual starting point so you have a bit more knowledge on the layout before starting.

@@XxSteamStreamxX yeah that’s what I’m talking about. I’ve done a few tests like that where I thought “it’s good. But what if I just move the entrance over here”
