Is there a way to fix the spur gears I have them installed correctly but it’s still destroying them every time it drives
@Kek72717 first make sure your not mixing 48 pitch gears with tamiya .6 gears. They look the same but they are not
I was about to buy the Hotshot 2 but there is something more interesting about the Hotshot 1 that I like. I like that interesting mono rear shock, looks very cool.
Thanks! I own the original as well. I love them both.
Is that a pinion or a spur ? If it’s a pinion how many mm and how many T
Those are spur gears from 48 tooth tov78 tooth
Hi, friend! how are you? How are you feeling, have you had any problems with the wear of the spur gear with the stock motor and variator? What type of grease to put on the spur and pinion, I put a little oil but it all leaked through the holes of the chassis screws... Regards
It's a really cool Squash Van. The body and tires look so good together! I envy you for running in such a wide place.😁
Well, damn, that thing is like a wild puppy off road! Looks beautiful too, well it did at the start if the video 😂 I hope all is well Joe, you've been a bit quiet lately.
How can I order the part? My rear axle also broke and I already had it repaired but I want to have a relationship at hand.

oh hey I missed this one, great run 👍 you are not afraid to send it 😆 Great location as well.
is going to be faster becuase you raised the timing..... duhh
But now some people can see what the difference can be between a non adjustable and adjustable timing motor can do.
Hey how are you ? Nice color and very nice off-road run 👍 All the best 🤝
Hello friend! Life is kicking me down right now. That's why I have not been very active lately. Hopefully things will come around in the next few weeks
Is this standard, or has it been upgraded?
It's been upgraded. Hobbywing esc and motor on 3s. Ball bearings and high-speed gear set and full ball bearings
@JoevsRc is that a complete kit you can buy or individual parts? Thanks
@kieronbarton1559 it comes as a kit you have to build. You have to buy the controller and batteries separately . This kit is the Tamiya plasma edge 2
@@JoevsRc My son has just bought the tamiya TT-02B plasma edge 2, but wants it faster. Where do they sell the upgrade kits? Thanks
@kieronbarton1559 I would first try your local hobby shop. Usually they can order anything you need. If not try ordering from amain hobby or tower hobby. First I would try changing the pinion gear to a larger one. The instructions should tell you what size you can go up to
Hbx makes some good affordable RC s imho . Their cs is excellent , 90 day parts warranty that they honor has come in handy . Good stuff imo .
like the colour , great stuff 😊👍
Thanks! I really did not like the box art on this one
@@JoevsRc same here . i might go metallic if i ever get one 👍
Cool! How much does it cost, and can it hold a square 2S Lipo battery?
Yes it can hold a 2s square battery. A small one. I will check the measurements later for you. The car was 200.00 plus ball bearings, sport tuned motor and radio gear
@@JoevsRc What I meant was will it hold a STANDARD lipo battery.
@@guymarotta2596 I have put in a reedy and a zee lipo
Liked and subscribed. Supporting fellow RC drivers.
Thanks! Going to see your channel now
😮😮😮😮amazing f1 and mercedez😊😊
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe ❤❤
Do you need a special charger or can I use the one I charge my 2s batteries with? Thanks
I use my 2s charger, not the supplied one
Great looking F104 like the color. 25mph on 2s is really good, and that 37mph it was cooking down the road. Once again another great video. Take care and hope you have a great week.
Looks like a bunch of fun going on
I definitely had lots of fun. I need more track time with that f1
I couldn’t imagine anything faster😳. Stood up on the durability test for sure🤣💪. Yeah they’re super fun trucks. I was heavy on the tamiya AW grease in my diffs, out great so far.. 👍
THANKS! In my diffs I used Lucas red and tacky. All this trucks needs is oil shocks
What tires would be better for it? 🤔
I found the tamiya rally tires fit. Have not run them yet
I took mine to a baseball field today, I ran it on short grass and it rolled over a lot but I figure it’s because of the lack of traction on it. On soft dirt it was a bit better, I ran it on asphalt and it gripped to it really well. If you get a link to the tires I’d really appreciate it.

Range is glitchy, what electronics would you upgrade it to? I recently got one and I really like ti except for the range. Thanks for your vid 👍
I would get the flysky GT5 . I use it for many cars and races at the track. It has many features for the price
Oh, cool! I got the Flysky FS-GT3B for my SCX24 Wrangler.
I ended up getting the FS-BS3 FS-BS4 FS-BS6 Receiver with Gyro and I paired it with my Flysky FS-GT3B controller…I just ran it across the length of a soccer field (385 feet), 0 range issues.
@martintrj5620 nice! Ya can't go wrong with a flysky. I a happy it worked out
@@JoevsRc thanks 👍.
Looks good
Thanks!
Almost done with mine. Needs tires still.
Nice! Hope you share it. I would like to see it
these are cool, definitely needs oil shocks
It is a fun truck. I do recommend it
Hahaha
Holiday fun!
very nice car, great run 👍👍👍😃
Thanks! I should have some race runs Sunday at a track
Nice runs. A little speed, durability, crawling, and bashing.
I think all this truck needs is oil shocks and that's it. Great little truck
Cool , nice video Joe😎👍👍 , Tamiya should put oil shocks on as standard
At slower speeds its not bad. But oil shocks are always a good thing
love these short course style trucks, excellent rip dude 😃👍👍👍
This one's ok. It kinda short and small with no traction . Looking for better tires that fit
thats definitely an off road beast 🤙🤙😎😎 subscribed 👍 😃
Thanks! Going to see your channel now love new content
😮😮😮😮 amazing car😊😊😊 its very strong :)
It is a unique one. It's small and quick. 2s is more than enough for this one. It does need better tires. The stock ones have no grip
Looks great! Seems pretty quick too!
It is kinda quick. I also put 90wt oil in the shocks to help control the bounce. I thought the stock oil was to thin
Love the paint job and what you did with the wheels! Looks great!
Thanks! I painted the rims black and used a chrome paint pen and did the trim and lugs
👌 So awesome looking!
Thanks! The blue came out better than I thought it would
Well mate, you certainly didn't hold back there did you? 😂 That looked a lot of fun off road..... But definitely in need of some decent dampers for sure! Would be most interesting to see just how much it improves the handling. Bet you have a few battle scars now? 🤔 👍 👍 👍
Lol, just a few scratches but nothing major. Once I get the oil shocks, I will return to the same spot, and we will see.
Interesting speed test! very good speed at 2s and 3s! It's great to go at 28 mph! The only thing I don't like is that at high speeds it tends to roll over... I guess this happens because its tires are thin and don't have as much grip with the pavement, It is the first video doing a top speed with a brush motor of this chassis, thank you very much for sharing friend!
The roll over happens because of the friction shocks. It needs oil shocks. Once it leanss its hard to recover
Nice.. 28 is not bad at all for that style of truck.. Great vid bud..
Thanks! It needs oil shocks bad
Its bouncy😃looks really good and seems to be a decent basher 🙂👍
After a day of running like that .the only damage was a few scratches on the body and stuff
Gotta love the Von Squash! - She's definitely a top-heavy rig. When I was blasting mine on 3S I found dropping the suspension to 50% droop was the ticket. It felt a lot more planted that way.
I will try the 50% and some oil shocks! That should help. It reminded me of running a lunchbox
@@JoevsRc Yeah man, it made a world of difference in mine. I'm running a Castle Motor on 3S, lol! It was NUTS!
Classic Joe Vs RC content 😁 ..love it. Have a good one brother!
Lol thanks! Oil shocks up next
Sweet little Rig Joe! I think it’s performance is really decent for the off road stuff. That’s where this looks the funnest! Definitely needs oil shocks to help keep it planted. I really like it though! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎✌🏼
Definitely need oil shocks badly. It took it like a champ. Only some scratches
Well you definitely tested it out fully!!! Speed, performance and durability all in the same video! It really should have come with oil shocks in the kit.
Totally agree with the oil shocks. They will be going in for the next run out. It took the abuse like a champ.
Looks like you had a great time out there. Car seems fun. Are you using friction shocks? Is it possible to setup to minimize the rollovers?
Yes it still has the friction shocks. Oil shocks are going in for the next run, and hopefully, it will cure the roll overs
You gave it a good beating Joe, But it rolled away.. Great run man!!!
Thanks! I hope the new oil shocks I will be putting in will help with rollovers .
