🎉 this is easily my 7th favorite game of all time I love the fact that it literally predicted the entirety of the political spectrum in American politics in the last 20 years using a bunch of fake news advertisements and also the covid thing and with the actual immigration issue and oh my God the actual use of technology in censorship and control in East vs West it's all just magnificently portrayed as an eternal struggle and I love it it's one of the greatest games I've ever played❤

TCP is one of my favorite survival horror games. 🤷♂️ I liked the melee combat, which added tension to the encounters. The environments were dark and gave a sense of dread. Overall, it was a great experience for me. Was it perfect? No. The enemies could have been more varied. I think Dani could have been better written. The warden was underused. I think they were hoping to expand on the story in a sequel, which I am still hoping for.

Back when I tried this game, I honestly thought, for the longest time, that it was gonna be that Ethan and Jason both died and it was going to be some surreal journey to accept that he and his son were dead, and there was gonna be some closure with his wife and other son once he gets through the purgatory of saw challenges. Looking back, I really wish I was right, but I never finished the game myself, since Pewdiepie was playing through it, and I found it too slow and badly acted. I love writing, as bad as I probably am at it, but even then, like twelve years ago, I felt my initial guess was better than what actually happened.

You forgot mention that in detroit, when you beat the game, you have option to free the woman android from the start menu, leaving it empty forever. And Dc patchet it so you can put another android there even if you let her free. How do you miss the point of your own fucking game?

I also love this scene at the end where Madison escapes the burning building in a fridge, is standing on the street without a bruise or anything & the first thing she says is "I need to call Jayden". She has never met him in the entire game, why would she say that 😂

I watched my friend's older brother play this game for a little bit when I was like 6 and it scared me so bad I never touched the series again. To this day, the horror genre is the one I have the least experience with.

Saying Mamoru Samuragochi is a "composer" like that is accurate given he likely composed very little of anything at all, with the reveal that Takashi Niigaki ghostwrote a lot of what he was credited in. ... I can however believe he wrote the kitchen music. I can buy into that.

Well....The evil within and Dino Crisis are both directed by Mikami, who also worked on Killer 7....so maybe is not a trend but a Mikami thing

Man I absolutely love the original Trilogy. We deserve it on consoles. They have the best save room themes and it's just unmatched even with 2 and 3 remake. Also I play all these with the joystick 😂 I can't do directional pad.

I like the Dino Crisis 1 save theme. The RE1 Dual Shock Director's Cut is the one with the bad save room theme. Not too crazy for the Nintendo DS save room theme either. I prefer RE3 Nemesis, but massive respect for the original for laying the foundation of the franchise. RE1 Remake pretty much replaced it though.

Since this is a spiritual successor to Sweet home ( Japan only game). I think you're right when you say the voice acting ( and the game in general) wasn't made with the west in mind. And i love it all the more for it.

Almost 30 years later, I had no idea there were machine guns in RE1. You learn something new every day. Also, the European version of the Directors Cut had the original OST. I lived in bliss until I found out about the other OST.

I think those guns are unlockable in just the pc port of RE1. Pc port doesn't have any of the extra content from Director's Cut or the Sega Saturn port though.
