The Butcher Wizard Channel focuses on showing viewers how to butcher large cuts of meat so that they can save money and make better meals. The channel not only has videos about butchery but also recipe videos that follow using the cut of meat that we worked on. I am a classically trained chef and have also worked as a butcher. This channel combines my love of cooking and my love of meat butchery. I hope you enjoy.

Where do you buy those large chucks? I have never seen those in any grocery store that large
Great video, but the math isn’t quite right. You’re taking a cost per pound of the entire roast and then using the trimmed weight to find the savings. You’d have to use the price of the roast, divided it by the weight of the cut steaks and then use that price per pound of that against the pre cut steaks.
"at that price when it gets dull just buy another one" I'm starting to think this guy has a significantly larger amount of money than me
I don’t have the money for a meat grinder…and while I watched the whole video and learned a lot, sadly I can’t do this 😢
The whole ribeye at my Costco is no where near $10.99/lb. It’s way more
"B" all day everyday!!
This is my next step in my beef journey
Chuck eye
Could a person cut all of it into steaks, even the grind pile, or is it too tough?
What does medium high heat mean???? Like is it invetween medium and high?
What percentage of us can actually afford to eat 2 Ribeyes a day though? Sure, we might want to eat meat only but let's be serious, food prices have gone through the roof.
I feel like I’m watching a QVC episode 🤦♂️ You must’ve gone to the grocery store and chosen the worst package of ribeye steaks you could find in the meat case
Your video is interesting, but you need to wear a microphone. It's hard to hear you because it's like you're on speakerphone talking from the back of your kitchen.
GODAM Im LICKKIN The FRKN SCREEN All FRKN READY/ 6:33
Ok I went to our local Costco yesterday which was 5-17-2024 got my whole Ribeye almost 17 pounds for $10.99 a pound. They wanted $12.99 a pound for the precut ribeye steaks.
😮
I'll have to see if I can get it at Sams
This is so helpful thanks 🫡
Either go with grass fed or give up being healthy.
Lots of useful information. Now I know what to look for in their meat department.

I like the salmon from Costco because they remove the pin bones.
My dogs love the rotisserie chicken at Costco. I debone it and they chomp it down.
I rather listen to the Butcher Wizard than listen to Republican Katie Britt speaking from the kitchen. You make way more sense than she does.
I tried both farmed salmon and wild salmon fillets at Costco. Same thing if you ask me. Both delicious.
Sliced meat costs more because you are paying for the convenience.
8.99 a pound for the lemon. You’re paying for the convenience.
I don’t shop at Costco to save money. I just enjoy the experience and meeting new people to converse with.
I just bought the four pack of beef steaks. Always a winner.
Costco never failed me, but if their food did fail me, I always have my dogs to pick up the slack.
If you live in so calif. you can buy this at Stater Brothers
Team Sam's. Just because Costco seems to carry more expensive brands and if you're on a budget Sam's is a better choice.
I buy all my steaks at Wallyworld.. and Only on sale. so the ones you see yellow-tagged that save you 5-7 bucks. no way I'm paying 10+ per lb of meat. now the wife on the other hand... oh those are pretty, lets get those .. 36$ later.
I never see these at Walmart. cost volume and profit prohibits me from shopping at Costco. Chuck roll? or chuck roast? I thought the chuck was the shoulder.
Don't like ribeye
QUESTION??? When you say put the ground beef through a second time, are you using the same disc or are you going down to the smaller round hole disc?
vegans must be LOSING their minds
Excellent video
9:24 carnivores, those fatty cut-offs, cut into 3/4-1in cubes, are great for fat-bomb snacks cooked in air fryer
Sam's Club in Fresno CA for 5.18 lb on a 22 pounder
Lion diet: only meat mostly ruminants. Wolf diet: mostly meat, any meat, all the meat, adds in pork, turkey, chicken, snake, frog, fish, mice, etc. some grass, lettuce, berries, apples, chocolate!
So, after 8 years you'll save enough to pay for the machine?
Just finished up a 28 lbs. chunk roll from Costco's. I expected it to be difficult & it was. Glad that I tried & have the meat but I won't do it again. Removing the silver skin was a pain. I'll stick to strip & ribeye rolls !
I like where you're going with this, but you need to trim that gristle before making your cuts. Also, no need to trim the end if you planned to make a roast out of it.
Thanks!
So I didn't need to ground up pork but thank you for the Ingredients for me I would make it a tad bit sweet and spicy, thank you so much.
Yes, I just did a taste test and it definitely needs more of something, just not very good at that. But it was good 👍
MEATER is awesome! Helps me not screw up as much a I used to
I would be kind of new at this how do you keep that much meat good me and my wife may only eat two steaks a week
I also eat fish ,eggs ,butter ,as well as meat, on carnivore .(sometimes cheese , whipped cream).
Yeah, now where tf do you buy that? No butcher in France sells pieces like that.' I have a whole sous vide set up so I can store it juste fine if need be but I just can't find it.
