Health & Fitness
Hi I’m Debbie. Welcome to my channel!
I’m a certified Personal Trainer, with additional certifications in Kettlebells, PureStretch, Fitness Pilates, Pre and Post natal certified. Peri and post menopause certified and Functional Aging Certified. I teach group fitness classes in and around the small Wiltshire village I live in and have done so since 2012.
Mum to 2 grown up children, turned 60 recently! (2022) I love being physically active and seek to encourage others to be active too. A Breast Cancer survivor and recently diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis I know just how important it is to keep as fit, active and as well as you can. I upload workouts to this channel; all low impact or with low impact options. My TM affects my right side so if you notice anything odd that side, that's the reason why! Dumbbell Strength, Kettlebells, Pilates, Stretch and Tone routines, all short, I if you're like me, with a health issue, sometimes short is more than enough!

Wow!!! Fantastic indeed!!!
I really like your workouts. I make sure I do them everyday.
That’s brilliant Karen!! Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying them 🫶
Hi Debbie, greetings from Australia. I have only just discovered you and have done a few classes and have enjoyed all of them. The only thing is the music seems to drown out your voice, and more volume just makes the music louder....anyway, thanks for the workouts, I'm almost 64 with arthritis so really enjoy the low impact workouts. 😊👏
Hi Jayne, thanks for your feedback, much appreciated. I’ve got some ideas as to how to overcome that! I’m chuffed you’ve found me. Where in Australia are you?
We live in beautiful Hervey Bay, the whale watching capital! 🐋🌞🏖
@@jaynesellers7794 gorgeous!! I have a lady attend my face to face classes from Byron Bay 😊
I'm so glad I found your channel. At least I was able to keep up. But still what a workout. I used a 8 pound kettlebell, what size do you use?
Awwww so lovely to hear!! Thank you!! I use a 6kg bell which I think is about 13lbs. Thank you for following and doing the workout! 😁❤️
What weight is that little bell? Love to see a video by a woman and an English (Australian?) one at that. I’ve been swinging 10kg x 100 reps of late, and then move on to 2 x 8kg for more swings (suitcase) then 12kg at the end. Then snatches with 10kg and 8kg, clean press with two 8kgs, and if I’m in the mood I’ll do some goblets with the 8 or 10. It’s about a 25mins workout. Your form is excellent! Also some good ideas/variations. Btw I’m 81+
Woweeeeee you are amazing!! The little bell is 6kg, about 14lbs. You are doing an amazing job!!! I’ve a neurological condition called Transverse Myelitis which has set me back a bit, but I’m moving and swinging a bell. Thanks for saying my form is excellent, that means a lot! I’m 61, soon 62 and if I can be like you in a few years time I shall be very happy!!! Keep going!!! I’m English and sorry I got the duration of the workout wrong 😊
@@debbiebrownhealthilytoned1119 Debbie, just wanted to add that I’m no titan, just believe that if I stop my workouts I’ll collapse in a heap and be useless. I often feel very lacking in endurance and strength, but do keep it up otherwise my conscience would prick me! Thumbnail pic is about 12 years old/ago.
@@juliehock6059 keep it going for as long as you can, so true the old adage, use it or lose it. You’ll be benefiting massively from all you do! I’m impressed!!
Good morning Debbie this video is absolutely fantastic absolutely love it I'm not senior but I'm a beginner in catapult and I came across your video your video hit the spot thank you so much and I have shared it you are a superstar Please please please any more videos working the ab muscles I'm in my 30s your video is fantastic❤❤❤❤❤
Love this workoutbinrewind and do it twice
Brilliant to hear! Thank you!
Hola Debbie, saludos desde México, gracias por tu esfuerzo, cuánto pesan tus mancuernas? Gracias de nuevo
Hello from the UK! Thank you for joining me on this workout! I'm using 3kg dumbbells here, which I find enough particularly for arm and shoulder exercises and we're using them for a continuous circuit. If I were doing a traditional weight training routine we'd use heavier weights, do less reps and have much more rest! Hope that helps!
@@debbiebrownhealthilytoned1119 🤗🤗
Good for you , you look great ! I'm 77 and trying to stay in shape . You are inspiring !
Thank you!
I love this, but I wish I could hear what you're saying more clearly. Consider getting a remote mic or maybe work outside where there would be less hollow echo.
70 years old just bought adjustable KB. TY for this vid
WHERE IS THE DETAILED NTRUCTION? TO HE;LP AVORD POSSIBLE INJURY JUST SEEING YOU DO THE EXERISE IS NOT ENOUGH😩NOT GOOD FOR BEGINNERS
Great workout!
Thank you!
Thanks Debbie for your wk outs!
Awwwww thank you for following them!! 😁
Great workout Debbie, many thanks 👍
Thankyou! Glad you enjoyed it!
How much does the kettlebell weigh?
I’m using a 6kg bell 😊 if suggest use whatever is a challenging weight for you.
Promo-SM
Thank you so much! Great to hear you do them sometimes more than once 😊
That’s so lovely to hear, thank you! ❤
Debbie, a good work out for an old guy like me, buy you are too quiet, talk too quickly and why on earth for us oldies do have that horrible rap rubbish on, which makes it virtually impossible to hear you. Do you not watch your own videos. By the way I am an ex teacher, lecturer, trainer and professional presenter and back in early 1970s in the RAF taught Tae Kwon Do in a noisy hanger at RAF Cosford..
Thanks for the feedback! Since recording this workout I’ve invested in a mic, so my voice is much clearer and no music can be heard in the background. Try one of the more recent workouts, let me know what you think. Sounds like you’ve had a great career and could offer lots of helpful pointers. 😊
Gracias de nuevo, tus rutinas me ayudan mucho, a veces repito las mismas pero voy a tratar de seguirlas todas 😊
Nice one. Please keep these coming.
Thank you! Will do!!
Gracias por tu gran aportación, saludos desde México, una pregunta, cuánto pesa tu kettlebell, tengo 59 años y no estoy segura de cuál es un peso seguro para mí, gracias de nuevo 😊😊
Hi there, my kettlebell is a 6kg/13lb. If you’re new to kettlebell’s I’d suggest starting with a lighter weight, maybe a 4kg/8.8lb. Hope that helps! 😊
@@debbiebrownhealthilytoned1119 Muchas gracias, has sido de gran ayuda 😸 😀😀
@@mariaelenajimenez1128you’re welcome! Thank you for being here on my channel 😊
Muchas gracias, excelente rutina, saludos desde México
Thank you from England!
Such a shame I can't watch this because of the god awful background techno. So unhelpful.
Oh I’m so sorry about that. I’ll see what I can do about deleting the music. All of the newer videos I have a mic and no background music.
@@debbiebrownhealthilytoned1119 Thanks Debbie, that would be brilliant! 🙂
@@debbiebrownhealthilytoned1119 Please don't delete it, I loved the techno music, it kept me motivated to continue...the whiners could watch the other videos with no music 🤪
Thank you so much the your positive feedback! It means a lot!!
Muchas gracias, saludos desde México 😊
Thank you! Good to have you hear!
Gracias por ayudarme a cuidarme, tengo 52 años y una lesión de rodilla y solo contigo he podido hacer ejercicio.❤
That's wonderful to hear! Thank you for training with me!
Love that workout....i am 67 it was perfectly good 👍
Thank you so much and well done you, I love that you’re working out at 67! Awesome!
Good workout. It would be a better video if there was no music and a better mic.
Thank you! I have noted this and have a new mic and the last video I put up was without music, using the new mic. Let me know what you think! 😊
@@debbiebrownhealthilytoned1119 Thank you so much!!
I can't get the hang of the swing-I think I am doing it wrong-are you throwing your hips forward? do you have and side views? 71 female
Ah hah, I’ll double check my videos and share something that will help. If I can’t find one I’ll create one for you! Essentially, the swing is a hip hinge, so the hips sit back and then you drive them forwards. I do appreciate a visual will help! Well done you swinging bells at 71 years young!! 😊👍
Here's a much earlier video that does show a side view, let me know if this works for you. kzread.info/dash/bejne/o3uo0deYZsbXiKQ.html
Hi, so the arms are not swinging the ball-
@@plukz4556 No definitely not 😊it’s the hip hinge that does the work. The arms hold the bell.,
Looks like a great workout but the volume isn't coming through for me...
Oh I'm so sorry about that! It looks as though my mic failed. I have ordered another one due to arrive today. In the meantime, I'm exploring how to do a voice over for the video! Thank you for letting me know!
Keep making a great video, I enjoy watching!! I think you will be interested in 'Promo SM'.
Thank you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, just started my kettle bell fitness. I'm 58 and completely out of shape. This video gives me a starting point.
That’s fantastic!! Yes, it’ll be a great starting point for you! Well done you for starting the journey 😊
Good morning good workout, but you need more volume thanks
Ahhhhhh, thank you so much! I’ll get that sorted! 😁
Great workout for tonning up. I use it after a rowing workout.Ideal all body workout and not too long.
Great to hear! Thank you!
Hello, thank you very much, I am 58 years old and I feel happy with these kettlebell workouts, regards from Mexico
Hello Maria, lovely to hear you’re happy and enjoying these. Brilliant to have you join from Mexico! Best wishes from England 🏴
Thanks you very much
Thank you for joining me.
What weight kettlebell are you using?
Hi there! Thanks for asking, I’m using a 6kg/13lb kettlebell in this workout! Have you used a kettlebell before?
@@debbiebrownhealthilytoned1119 Yes! I have used them on and off for about four years. I have a 4kg one which is great, but too light to swing! I also use a 8kg for swings. It’s quite challenging so I might get a 6kg one, as I am now 78 years old!!
@@carolcreasey788 amazing!!! That’s awesome and I’m so chuffed to hear you’re using an 8kg for the swings! You’re an inspiration at 78 years for sure and thank you for joining me in my workouts!! 6kg would be good for you if the 4kg feels too light!
Another great music selection for this healthy workout! Dazzle! Dazzle!🎉🎊
Thank you!
Hi, Dazzling Debbie! You're really fit and in great shape! You'd probably dance circles around me! Thanks for the upload. Love the adorable ponytail! See you next time!🥂💜

Heyyyy, Dazzling Debbie!!!😍🏋🏻♀️ Woman, you've got it! I promise you that you'd dance circles around these teenagers of today!!! You look Amazing!!! I'd love to see you take us on a virtual trip throughout your city to give us a glimpse of some of the things that you like to do per your leisure time. Take us to some of your stores that you purchase your exercise gear such as shoes, pants, tops; and tell us why you recommend those things. As I've mentioned before, give us a tour of some great eateries there! We'd love that! Thanks, Dazzy! Greetings from Memphis!🥂🎶✌🏽💕
Hey, Dazzy! How awesome would it be to share some of the foods that you eat to maintain that physique? How many meals do you eat per day? What's your choice of meats if any? Are vegetables really good for us? How much water is sufficient for us to intake per day? Are supplemental vitamins truly good; and safe? Thanks, Dazzy! 🍇🥦🍅
