  It might’ve been a good idea to finish the new trilogy with Gears 6 before this game with the cliffhanger and all. There’s 10 years from E-Day to Marcus gets locked up that more than enough time for a new trilogy imo. (Be cool if we see Gabe Diaz in this era) Who’s going to want to go back to Gears 6 after this? Lol Nice thing about this announcement is the people finally admitting the new games just don’t hit the same as classic Gears of War. Like it’s finally safe for them to say it or something lol.

  When discussing E-Day sequels, I don't know if I'd focus on "already knowing the outcomes" as the main reason for not doing more than one. For a long time, people have wanted to hear that story, which supersedes knowing what happens post-prequel. It adds an extra layer of meaning to the events that will happen later

  I think phil has already teased the future. Xbox will release a PC that they call xbox something. It will be similar to a cyberpower from best buy or alienware. They will also have a “steam deck” most likely will come up with a way to have you able to get achievments through other stores games. So u play god of war on your “xbox PC” and xbox will automaticly detect your on steam and give you xbox achievements.

  The evidence is Banjo did not sell well and neither did the Lucky game they did. They Crash and Spyro. I agree about minecraft, my kids play it all the time. So instead of asking if Xbox can compete with mario or ASTRO bot, how can sony and Nintendo compete with minecraft.

  The writing was on the wall for console sales, when Phil put the games on PC day and date, now putting them on Playstation is the final nail, people on social media may be the hardcore, but word of mouth spreads to casuals, we can say they'll be exclusive for a year, casuals just hear, their games will be on Playstation.

  You can't use Nintendo as an example of why the Xbox third party strategy is ok, Nintendo don't put their games on other platforms, if you want to play Mario you get a switch.

  @@jez.c Was there no evidence to blame the series S when baldurs gate 3 skipped the platform? And still till this day there's no splitscreen on the s? Larian has been quite active with patches, their not lazy. If the hardware could've ran splitscreen then would'nt this have been done by now if there was no hardware gap between the X and S? Because i do clearly remember phil stating at the time this wasnt due to parity but then later larian confirmed that it was due to parity... Parity clause shouldnt even be an reality but i digress. Not the end of the world cause wukong is an multiplat game as was BG3 but yeah not great optic wise.

  ​@@kowaikokoroBG3 even on power PC with 30xx GPU have not good experience to play split screen. Game came 3 months later and Xbox have biggest release in September and October, but people acting like GTA 6 skip the platform...cRPG isn't popular on console.

  On Hellblade 2: the game has absolutely found it's audience. It has 9/10 'Very Positive' score on Steam (impressive because the Steam crowd is hard to please), and 4.3 stars on Xbox store, both with thousands of reviews. Most people who've played it love it. The game doesn't have to be for everyone to be special.

  It's one of the most forgettable games in recent memory. It was supposed to be a huge tentpole release, but literally everyone who wanted to play it played it, and now it's completely out of the conversation. Sad but true. Ninja Theory did nothing to evolve the gameplay from the first game.

  @@EpicScreenReviews hellblade 1 has been out for 7 years. Hellblade 2 has been our for a month. The first game didn't get 60K reviews in just one month, I dont think. And like I said, the reviews are very positive for the second game as well.

  I feel like Banjo Kazooie should be their nostalgia trip game just like Astro Bot has become. With the popularity of the Crash N. Sane Trilogy, I believe it would still have a great ROI. Make it like a Doom (2016) where you revamp the classic gameplay but now with Banjo’s wheelhouse of hub worlds and platforming. You could also have Easter eggs just like Doom had with retro levels or cameos from Rare’s past like Joanna Dark (Perfect Dark), Kameo, Conker and now even Sea of Thieves. You could also lean into the musical side of things with their names ‘Banjo’ + ‘Kazooie’ and tie in their umbrella of studios now being with Activision to include Guitar Hero segments in Boss fights like the new Crash has. Finally, just like Rare Replay and Astro Bot, garner the popularity of nostalgia and cameos by looking to include other IPs from Xbox: have a Doom FPS level just like original Banjo Tooie did, maybe include a fairytale level like Fable is doing with Jack and the Beanstalk or even have a kid-friendly horde level with cameos from Halo and Gears. All this is just the tip of the iceberg of creative freedom that the eventual developer’s could have and even if they don’t do all I’ve listed and do a Crash N.Sane Trilogy with remakes of the originals in a bundle or Crash 4 treatment with a new franchise entry, I think it would please fans and shareholders.

  PS2 had a Grand Theft Auto game as an EXCLUSIVE. Switch has NO GTA game, no Madden and no C.O.D. and its going to outsell the PS2. Think about that. Really strong food for thought.

  @@petergregoriou2574 That statement was to convey how BIG Nintendo games are. How REALLY BIG they are. Like REALLY MASSIVE. They are so big, Nintendo does not need GTA, C.O.D, etc, to outsell the competition. Xbox DOES NOT have that luxury at all. Neither does Playstation.

  Yeah sure Nintendo don’t have the optics issue of games skipping their platform, but they also haven’t had the reputation or expectation that the biggest games would be coming to the platforms in the first place for a looooong time. Xbox doesn’t, and would not, have that luxury.

Look at the legs and how they are shaped. Its the same marketing, same design, and we have been there done that. Its complete creative bankruptcy on Sony's part.

  Really don’t think they need to be trembling in their boots about being to close to AC, Avowed is a game pass drop and ac is 70$ for the first half of the game, 110$+ if you want the whole thing. Then you’ve got the stupid dei crap weighing it down as well. I’d say Avowed should be able to hold its own, unless it’s broken at launch or has dei crap as well.

  Assassin's Creed is one of the best selling games every year despite the internet shitting on it. Valhalla generated over $1 billion in revenue for Ubisoft. It's still one of the biggest franchises in the world. You're stupid to go up against Valhalla if you're a publisher.

  We’ve been through this Tango thing a million times! Hi-Fi Rush was critically received BECAUSE the fans received it well first before the media could preview it and give the Xbox-tax downgrade reviews. WE ALL said it was genius to shadow drop it back then because of that. Leadership probably listened to the community and agreed. NOOOOOOWWWW because WE SEE the studio close, we’re re saying it was a bad idea and jump to blaming Xbox because that’s all we know that we can do. I’m tired of the fear, outrage, and judgement without context.

  @jez.c For some reason on other podcasts there's been too much backlash against people who don't like HB2. I've even heard podcasters say "you don't get it" if you don't like it or "you went in with the wrong expectations". If it didn't meet your expectations as a consumer...it's ok. Don't replay it to simply force change your perspective on the game. I think a lot of xbox podcasters wanted this to be a better game and are blaming the consumer for their opinions when the consumer is just being honest.
